    Lasagna and gnocchi

Heard the Italian food in Argentina was really good so we knew we had to try it! My sister and I happened upon this place and we're so glad we stopped in for dinner. The gnocchi was so pillowy and soft. There's nowhere in the States that has gnocchi like this, and I worked at a family owned restaurant in New Jersey. The burrata was absolutely delicious. The service was great and everyone was friendly. Funny story, there was a leaf bug walking along camouflaged in the salad but thankfully the manager was near by and he was able to bring us a new one. We'd go back, bug incident and all.

Honestly, after eating so much meat for 3 days, I needed something that did not have meat. Enter Quotidiano. A pasta place in BA that seems to be super popular with everyone. It is because most Argentines have Italian ancestry. Many Italians live in Argentina so the Italian culture is huge here. Tons of people were here during happy hour and almost impossible to get outside seating (COVID times). We got seated inside unfortunately but that's ok. The inside is a bit crowded for me in my opinion so I was wary and tried to eat quickly. Don't assume that everyone speaks English in BA so really try to learn a good amount of Spanish if you are traveling to Argentina. Our pastas were great and also ordered some cocktails which were great as well. We paid using our American credit card which is not a problem in BA restaurants. This seems to be a good spot for drinks so highly recommend their outside patio for HH.

This is one of the best meals we have had in BA thus far. This place was packed as it was a holiday. The host sat us in less than ten minutes and the staff was on it. Every dish we had was fresh and delicious

What a great find. Tasty pasta, friendly staff, and enough options to befuddle the pickiest pasta lover. Do try the eggplant appetizer or pears with blue cheese. Casual, fun, and for us (early dinner at 7 ) not crowded.

    Uncooked pasta, seriously??

Staying in BA for 10days and this place is by far and the only worst restaurant in terms of food and service. I visited because my argentine friend recommended but very disappointed. Teenagers sitting outside smoking. Not a good ambiance

A new spot, just opened up, serving pretty much all day long, lunch and dinner focused on Italian food - particularly pastas - in fact, they're calling it a "pasta bar". The "they" behind this light, airy space are the owners who are also behind Sottovoce, El Burladero, Fervor, and Sexto - some of my favorite spots in town for different cuisines. Not surprisingly, it's well run, very professional, and very attentive. Well, mistakes do happen. I was with a friend, one of the owners of a favorite pizzeria here, and we wanted to try the piadinas - we ordered up the prosciutto version and got the cured salmon version. Decided to go for it, and it was quite good, though I still want to go back and try the other, though 200 pesos is a little pricey for what amounts to an individual sized pizza. A couple of pastas (180 pesos apiece) - agnolotti stuffed with chicken and herbs and tossed in a simple but absolutely delicious butter, cheese, and herb sauce; and tortelloni filled with veal, in a rich, satisfying "piemontese" sauce with hazelnuts. Some of the best pastas I've eaten in BA - honestly, even better than their own at Sottovoce! They make gelato "in the moment" - it's sort of a soft serve version, but far more satisfying than, say, Dairy Queen. We split a cup of the mixed chocolate and vanillas. Quotidiano is also open at breakfast time. It's not so Italian at that point (neither is their weekend brunch menu), but bang on delicious - a simple breakfast with coffee or a pot of tea, four slices of housemade bread, each different (one of the best ryes I've had since moving to Argentina), accompanied by cream cheese and two different housemade marmalades. All around, a winner, and a place I'll be going back to regularly!

Amazing food, cozy place and the staff is very friendly. We were in a group of 6 and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Besides that everything was great.

Lasagna - Better than authentic Italian recipes! Yum!

What a find! This place is absolutely delicious! The burger and lasagna were incredible, but I would skip the salads as they just couldn't compare. Fabulous food!

You must go here! Everything about this place is great! Would definitely recommend any of their pastas. Be aware they will charge you for water and butter, but most places will do the same in BA. They have several servers who speak English and they are happy to explain the menu to you. Their prices seem a little on the higher end but the food makes it worth it. If you are in BA in the Recoleta area, you have to go!

The hotel recommended Amici Miei. We walked to the other end of the little plaza and located this cute little Italian restaurant on the second floor with some balconies over looking the plaza with tables. The location is spectacular. Very quaint, old school feel inside an old building. The balconies are small but hold table for 4. On a nice day like when we went (it was about 85 degrees F) was nice to look outside onto the plaza and people watch. As we ordered food, the quality of the dishes were top notch. Everything was fresh and tasted superb. The flavours were rich, not salty, not over/under cooked. All the dished that came out were nice and hot and tasted amazing. The bread served was fresh, crunchy outside, soft inside with butter and some red wine. This place if you didn't know you were sitting in Buenos Aires, you'd think you were in Italy! Service was great, very prompt and nice. As with any Argentine or foreign restaurant, you have to ask for your bill if you want to leave, otherwise they just let you be. Overall, I do believe this place is truly 5 star rating, food, quality, taste, ambiance and service. You won't be disappointed if you go here and the price point is very good for the food, amount and quality.

I arrived right when they opened at 8 and was the only one there until a few people trickled in around 8:30 or so. By the time I left at 9:15, more people were arriving. I'd expect by 10, it would be packed. Before my meal arrived, they brought out a basket of garlic bread, focaccia and breadsticks with a garbanzo bean spread. I also ordered a cold Patagonia cerveza while I waited for my main course. I had green Papardelle pasta with mushrooms, bacon and cherry tomatoes in a light olive oil type sauce. It was very enjoyable as compared to a heavy cream sauce. The only thing missing was some parmesan cheese, which was provided before my meal arrived. Unlike most every other dinner I've had in BA, I left feeling satisfied, not like I was about to burst! The service was stellar and very friendly. Definitely check this place out if you happen to be in San Telmo.

Situated in the Recoleta neighborhood, it's known for its house-made pastas. And, ultimately, yes, I was grown up enough to eat there, although, since I'm not a wine drinker, I felt I was missing out on the total experience. The decor of the restaurant is very elegant with lots of wood. We dined on the second level and were treated to an excellent view of the diners below. Being as there weren't many non-alcoholic drink options I had water. This is one area of opportunity. I would've loved to have something like a fruity cocktail to complement my dish. As an appetizer, we had the Corn Polenta with Prawns. It was an interesting dish with tender prawns and a seafood broth poured over the polenta. Very good. For my entree, I had a very rich pasta dish called Tagliatelle with Creamy Spinach and Ham. This was a delicious dish- let me tell you, the standout was the ham which was very mild and not heavily salted. That dish was a 5/5! For dessert I chose the Panna Cotta, it was a little too sweet for my liking. We also passed on the complementary Limoncello at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit to Sottovoce, the main dish was spectacular, but the other elements bookending the main were a little less than spectacular. Nonetheless, I would definitely return for the Tagliatelle, but next time try a different appetizer and dessert.
