Best pizza we had in Buenos Aires Delicious and huge pie. A fun spot. Bustling with take out and dine in options. The white onion pizza looked amazing and seemed very popular

I went to El Cuartito to try the Argentine pizza. The place is busy & has a lot of character. I tried a slice of Fugazzeta pizza: cheese & slices of onions. The pizza was fine, though not especially tasty.

The food was amazing I've had pizza in 3 continents and this is one of my top 3 pies. Truly a unique experience and such a different culture. From the way people eat with a fork and knife to the amount of locals and families. Service is great for the amount of people that there was in the restaurant. The restaurant was filled with nostalgia, from all of the memorabilia from The NBA, Boxing, Racing, Pop Culture, and most importantly Futbol. As soon as you walk through the door you feel the love for sports and culture, as well as you see the people that are standing while eating, show casing a point of view from a local, that this is just a part of their routine. So that's why I give my first stop on this trip a 5 star review, very well deserved.

Pizzzzzaaaa!!! We were hungry after visiting Teatro Colon and wanted pizza for lunch. Being from California and user of Yelp, I decided to see the closest and easiest to walk. My goodness! We found El Cuartito Service was ok. Our waiter took our order and left his shift- the only weird thing: he and another waiter counted their tips in the back tables on top of the table settings which made us wonder about hygiene. Food: deliciously made- ingredients fresh- cheese galore- pizza dough extremely savory. Ambiance was great in having all soccer pictures and memorabilia on the walls. The place accommodates large amount of customers and was busy and take out was available. The place was established in 1934. The place is open until 2:00 am that tells us it is good!!! Great food!!

When we asked locals where the best pizza in Buenos Aires is, the overwhelming answer was El Cuartito. We got here on a Tuesday night and the line was a block long, but it was worth the wait. Crisp and chewy crust covered with melted cheese that just drips off every slice. Fun atmosphere, packed with people who just want a good time with friends over great pizza. Don't miss this place when traveling through Buenos Aires!

Pretty busy pizza place.. The line went around the building. Argentine pizza is amazing. I was 14 in Dallas when I had my first one. But I didn't appreciate it like the real deal. However, in Buenos Aires the ingredients and elements like the water, meat, fresh cheeses and elevation, made me understand why it's it own thing. In Buenos Aires, they have two kinds of pizza. The best one and thick is the Argentinian and Naples thin. The Argentinian is different, the dough is very dense and yet fluffy, and crisp edges. The traditional way has a small chunk of blue cheese in the center where it melts and webs out into the sauce and mozzarella cheese. But this place doesn't use blue cheese unless ordered. We had pepperoni, which is chunks of meat. A lot gooey cheese and about 2 lbs of 13" pizza. I had leftovers in the fridge and a few hours later decided to try cold pizza, which is the real test. The crust edges were crunchy and so good. Just go for it.. Take out available as well to avoid the long line. But like empanadas eat it hot and soon.

Pizza day! First time trying Argentinian style pizza. It definitely delivered. It's like a Sicilian style pizza on steroids! Loaded with mozzarella, pepperoni and onions, yes onions. This spot has been around since 1934 and is a local favorite, the server says the lines are usually 2 hours to get in, with the locals and visitors waiting without a problem. If you ever get a chance to visit Buenos Aires be sure to stop and eat here.

We came to El Cuartito as part of tour! We used LandingPadBA to get a tour to the River Plate game and it included light "snacks" here. Snacks is in air quotes because It was meal! We had several liters of Quilmes which was a great way to start the afternoon! As an appetizer, we had the empanadas and WOW!!! My mother is Argentine and I've her food and this was just as good. Unbelievable taste. Then we got to the best part... the pizza. Cheesy heaven!! My favorite was the olive pizza but the Neopolitana was also good with the fresh tomatoes!! El Cuartito did not disappoint as a classic part of the Buenos Aires experiences. Not to mention, they are open late!!! Perfect. Definitely a must come for anyone looking for authentic Argentine fare and experience.

Beef empanada... quite good, good flavor, a little drier than I like but not bad!

We were recommended this pizza plate by a local (Uber driver) and we were quite surprised by the food! The pizza was excellent, as was the empanadas. The restaurant could use a bit of a facelift as it doesn't look much more updated than when they started in 1934, but I guess it lends a bit of charm to this establishment. The meal was extremely affordable (small pizza, an empanada and a bottle of house wine)... it actually cost less than the McDonalds meal we had the night before ... and it included a little of wine! With the multitude of pizza places in the city, this one is one to visit.

Amazing pizza. Was packed on a saturday night but the service was friendly (considering I don't speak Spanish) and me and my sister really enjoyed our meal!

I love this pizza joint but don't expect the servers to be nice when they are busy. They have a little attitude. But it didn't change my love of this pizza

    The Atomic pizza...

Our first trip to Buenos Aires and everyone says we need to eat pizza at Guerín...we did... El Cuartito is much much better...more choices and better prices are only part of the story. Try El Atomíco...really good pie and we're used to New Haven pizza!

The menu is all over the map - with something for everyone - but the things I focused on over 2 visits were traditional offerings and a sweet potato dish that might not be traditional but ought to be. On my first visit I tried a traditional Argentinan stew called Locro. Baked in a clay oven and served piping hot, Locro featured white corn, beans, squash, and meat. I was enjoying it well enough until the sweet potato dish arrived at which point all bets were off; that dish got all of my attention. The menu features a "wood-fired potato and sweet potato" category and it was from that small offering that I'd opted for the sweet potato topped with creamed corn, honey, and walnuts. During my first visit - and even on the return visit - I'd have sworn this dish was covered in melted cheese. It was not. But the combination of flavors and textures was so immensely satisfying that I couldn't wait for a do-over. During my second visit I again ordered the amazing sweet potato (and a Northern-Style Tamale, a bottle of wine, and flan). Everything was, again, quite delicious but that sweet potato? It was fabulous and one of my top flavor sensations in a month of travel. Cumaná serves immensely satisfying food that differs from what you find elsewhere. You can go with pizzas and pastas but why, when the menu is filled with gems rarely found elsewhere. And as for that sweet potato? I never saw anything like it on any other menu. Miss it at your own peril.

What an amazing find. I started with a ham&cheese Empanada, and for my main dish the spinach cannelloni. It was delicious!!! Filled with flavor that I could not stop eating. My father, who lives in Buenos Aires ordered the Locro which I had to try and once again, delicious (but a little spicy so you know). My wife ordered the mondongo, which she really liked. My son ordered the chicken quesadilla which he enjoyed and my daughter ordered the potato gnocchi which I did try, because it's hard to find a place that makes good gnocchi, and they did. They were very flavorful!! The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The place is very nice inside but a bit dark, but it was also a cloudy day with rain which didn't help. My father was so happy we brought him there so now he has a new place to eat and bring friends to try the food. My only complaint may be the bread they served the table. It was hard to eat it with butter because it kept crumbling, but don't eat too much bread, because the portions are big and you will want to eat every bit like I did. Enjoy!!!
