Let's talk about Korean New Year's Soup! I was pleased to learn last year, they were open on Jan 1…read morefor the new year. This meant that I was able to eat the traditional Korean New Year's Soup for good luck, health, and happiness. I had always ordered other soups, but what I love about this place is the consistency of always having the soups come out exactly the same. I stopped by again this New Year, and the gentleman who served us is always focused to ensure everything was aligned and served well. The banchan (side dishes) were always filled when needed. The calm but filled restaurant shows that this is truly a staple in the Parma area, and it was such a pleasant "taste of home" for someone who is half Korean. You know it slaps when the parking lot is filled, and their phones are ringing non-stop. The culture the restaurant brings also invites locals who are trying Korean food for the first time. I truly admire how the place represents that it's owned by hard working people who extend the value of our community.

The food was really good, though I was a little upset that they didn't have tofu available when I went, even though the online menu said otherwise. Still, everything else hit the spot. I also love that they have photos of the items on the menu--it makes ordering so much easier. It's a great spot for large groups and the service was solid. If you're looking for authentic Korean vibes, this is the place to go.

Took a group of employees to Gogi for dinner Tuesday night…read more Enjoyed good food and good company. The different selections of meat in the All You Can Eat menu were solid. I think we tried everything but the spicy chicken and beef brisket were the favs of the group. Lots of sides and rice. Nobody left hungry that's for sure lol!! Service was great as well. Our main server was consistently checking on us and getting refills very fast. There were several other servers who stopped by as well. They changed the grilled quickly so we could keep cooking and stuffing our faces. Place was WAY bigger than I expected from the outside with plenty of seating and private-ish spaces. Plenty of parking. Great choice!!

My boyfriend and I were craving KBBQ, so we decided to try Gogi-en. He's been here before and…read morebrought home galbi and marinated galbi that were amazing. Because of that experience, we came in with high expectations and were really excited. At first, I liked this restaurant for its cleanliness and cute decor. The overall ambiance gave a very pleasant first impression. However, my experience today was quite disappointing. I was not satisfied with the service or the food quality. When the server brought us to our table, she seated us at the front near the entrance by the snack corner. We asked if we could move to a table in the back, but she told us those tables were for non-bbq guests. We were okay with that and stayed. However, shortly after, we saw other parties being seated in the back and eating KBBQ. That felt inconsistent and honestly disappointing. We ordered the yookhwe (beef tartare) bibimbap ($20.95), the Korean beef BBQ combo for two ($119.99), prime rib ($44.95), and makgeolli. Honestly, the portions were lot smaller than I expected for the price. Brisket only came with 6 thick pieces and galbi came with 9 to 12 pieces depending on how you cut them. The last straw was just seeing 10 small pieces of prime rib. As for the taste, it was decent but not the best. The banchan, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg were good, but the beef was tough and hard to chew. The sauce on the marinated galbi actually hardened like candy after grilling and stuck to my teeth and the plate. We cooked most of our meat ourselves, which we didn't mind, but it seemed like our server was busy with other tables. Overall, I was disappointed and probably won't be back. If you've never had KBBQ, it might still be worth (?) a try considering for the authentic experience, but I don't think the service, portions or quality make it worth the price.

The drumsticks were absolutely ginormous. They took 45 min to come out but were perfectly crispy outside and very well sauced. The side of radish was literally plain radish cubes with no seasoning- gross. The cole slaw was unremarkable. The bulgogi was Westernized shaved beef with seasoning. Not legit bulgogi but close enough to not be teriyaki beef either. The buldak was very spicy and had an interesting flavor. Kind of muted- not bad just not my cup of tea. One employee was the host, server, and bartending the entire place and I felt bad for her lack of help.

Upon arriving, the restaurant was fairly nice but completely empty, so I thought I'd just eat in. Only to be told "you can't do that." I found it odd, but alas took my order to my hotel. One thing Bonchon ALWAYS gets right is the wings, and these were no exception. That said, the wings I had half my sauce in were incredibly small compared to the other half. One thing Bonchon ALWAYS gets wrong is to give you a fork and some stinking napkins. For the 100th time I had to take me coleslaw down like a chunky shot of tequila and nothing to wipe the wing residue away.
