I've had vacuums fixed here for my job, so I decided to take my personal Bissell steam cleaner here. Michael said that he could clean it out & get it working again for a reasonable price. He suggested that it was full of pet hair because my vacuum was not picking it up. I said that I had never bought a good vacuum & asked if he had any refurbished ones & told him my budget. It was time for a better vacuum, so I spent the last few weeks doing research online and had a pretty good idea what direction I was leaning. I was curious if the salesman would lead in the same direction or try to push me into a profit leader. They didn't, they were on the same wavelength as me and that confirmed these guys were legit. They asked specifics about my home (75% hardwood 25% carpet) and use (long haired shepherd) and of all the vacs, they pointed me towards the one that my research had showed would be best for me. Brad and Michael made a new customer and just exhibited good business practice with certain perks and bargains. Given all the competition online and local it was a very good value and enjoyable experience. Quite frankly, I could see myself going up there to have a cup of coffee with them. read more

Took my lower-end canister vac in for repair and was considering a back-up vacuum when Brad (selling vacs for 30 years) told me they took trade-ins. After discussing my situation (tile, hardwoods, rugs and 3 dogs), he recommended a different make of canister vac which has the largest motor of all the canisters. I also bought a cordless upright (the same brand he has in his home) for the quick sweeps. Icing on the cake: he'll repair and service the canister I brought in at no charge...and still gave me a deal on what I bought! Not gonna lie: I bored myself silly researching vacuums and had planned to buy on-line...except mine needed repairing. It is so refreshing to go into a specialty brick-and-mortar store where you deal with experts who know their products, can compare and contrast for you...and have lots of lint and sand to throw on the floor so you can test drive the machines. Can't get that on-line! read more

I have been in the cleaning business for over 30 years, and what I experienced today at this store left me speechless. I took my vacuum cleaner in for service, and I spoke to whom I believe to be the owner. I explained that I needed to fix a cord on my vacuum cleaner that had electric wires exposed on it. With my experience, all that it needed was to cut back the exposed area and reattach the rest of the cord back to the vacuum cleaner. Not only is it an easy fix, it is more cost affective for the customer. When I asked if I could have it repaired that same day, not only did he say no! He said H*ll No! He then started to explain that I needed to buy a new vacuum cleaner. I interrupted him and told him thanks but no thanks! As I walked out the store, the guy said "Good Luck"! I took it to another vacuum repair store and they were able to repair the cord that day, in about 15 minutes, for the low cost of $20! read more

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at this place. Brought in a 4 year old $250 Hoover and was told it was not worth repairing and that I needed a new one. Interestingly, he had some new ones right there he could sell me. Lowest priced vacuum was $400 and his vacuums ranged all the way to $1200. He tried to tell me what I needed. He spent no time asking questions about what kind of repairs mine needed or what the problem was. When I told him I did not want a new vacuum, he happily took $75 to repair mine and returned it to me the following week. As far as I can tell all he did was empty the canister. This vacuum still does not pick up debris. If he had given it a test run or even turned it on he would have noticed that, and would have been able to tell me when I picked it up that he was either (a) unable to fix it; or (b) it needed more work. He said neither - but pretended it was working and took my money. This lounge lizard is decked in gold and trying to get himself as many vacuum sales as he can. He does not care about customer service - only about filling his pockets. Buyer beware. Even my child noticed how rude he was and commented on his hard sell tactics. Wow. I should have taken a clue from his hard sell attitude and run when I had the chance...and my $75. Never again! read more

This Hoover repair center "vacuum shop" is a total joke. The guy is a complete asshole and gets pissed off if you don't have your claim number. Like who is going to carry around a small ticket for weeks get real. He also will never call with updates, never told me what was even wrong with my unit. I called three weeks after dropping it off and he says "uh I don't know whats wrong with it, i'm waiting on hoover to send me something" WTF is that supposed to mean? I called hoover and they don't know anything either. "It's a long process that takes time" is what I was told. Sorry, but these incompetent idiots make Hoover look really bad. I would NEVER buy a hoover again ever. My cordless lithium ion vacuum broke within 6 months. A month later and hoover still has not done anything. I've already bought another vacuum. Totally horrible experience with these imbiciles. read more

We took our aging Hoover windtunnel vacuum in for a belt replacement. We couldn't have been treated more courteously. The very knowledgeable man who helped us explained exactly what the problem was and then immediately fixed the unit for a very reasonable fee. He asked us if we had time for him to demonstrate some of the brands they carry and then proceeded to educate us on the differences between the well-advertised vacuums one might buy at say, Walmart, and the lesser-known ones they offered. While we're in no financial position to purchase a new sweeper at this time we now know what not to waste our money on. There was no sales pressure at all and we were out of there in no time with our Hoover repaired. This is how a reputable shop does business and we recommend it highly. read more

I have been a customer of Broadway Vacuum for many years. Last year I thought I would save some money buying a Hoover vacuum online. Within the first year, the handle broke. I research for a repair shop and Broadway came up for the warranty. I took the vacuum in for the repair. Brad (owner) was courteous, even though I had not purchased the unit from him. He assured me the unit was under warranty and that the repair would be made asap. About 3 days later I received a phone call from Brad telling me he was waiting for the replacement parts and would call when ready. Meanwhile, I realized that my 'backup' vacuums were not operational. I called Brad and he asked me to bring them in and he would see what he could do. A friend told me I should look at the Miele vacuum. I had noticed Broadway had this unit in stock. I inquired if I could trade-in the Hoover and a Dyson, but keep the other vacuum as a backup. Brad was more than accommodating and made me an excellent deal for a new Miele. I love the new machine and when I got the backup vacuum back from servicing, it runs like a champ. I highly recommend this shop for all your vacuum needs. I won't buy vacuums online in the future. I will return to the shop/people I know and can get the best deals. read more
