The restaurant is nice, clean and I like the Union City decor. I love that they have a pay it forward board which started during the tornado time to help those who need it. The first visit here the food was really good and the bartender/server was amazing and made the best Long Island that I have had in a long time. That being said, another server was chewing gum and I hate that! I was thankful she wasn't our server! Second visit, different employees here and no consistency. One of the employees had their two little children with headphones and iPads not a huge deal except they were in and out of the kitchen again not a fan. The person who was the bartender/server made a very undrinkable Long Island and acted like it was a favor that she took it off my bill. I literally had one sip and realized it was awful. Made an online order through the new site, ordering was easy, paid. Went to pick up the food, and the staff argued about who was in charge of online orders. I stood there for 15 minutes after arriving at the pickup time waiting while they argued about whose responsibility it was to help me. When I finally got my food it looked like it was all there, my fault for not rummaging through it standing at the bar. I drove home, found it missing salad and missing coleslaw. We've not been to the Broadway Bar and Grille in Union City Michigan since the new owners. And I must say, what fabulous meal! We stopped in here after an event at the school. The waitress was great. She was kind, funny and was very attentive. All staff were wearing masks. The food was good. It was also quite filling. The sunrise drink was a little bit of sweet and sour but was really refreshing. We do not travel this way often but for those who do or are passing through, I would definitely recommend stopping here for a drink and something to eat. read more

Only 1 bad experience out of 100+ visits. The fish was not up to par. Other than that, we have had great experience here. Alcoholic drinks are to die for. Favorite dishes to get here are Quesdilla Burger, Scotts BBQ Burger, Chicken Chimichanga, Soup of the Day and Cheese pizza. read more

Been here several times. The food is WAY WAY WAY over priced. The quality of ingredients is not very good. I've given them several tries, but $60 for dinner at a bar (no booze) for 2 people? Really? I've seen several male employees using their bare hands on the food in the salad bar. Super gross! If the ingredients were better, and I could trust the cleanliness, I'd feel better about the price. I've eaten here many times, and every time it has been a pleasurable experience. I like to mix it up and have had many of the items on the menu. My favorites are the Scott's BBQ Burger, the Broadway Melt and the fish and chips basket. My husband always falls for the half rack of rib combo with butterfly shrimp. The service is great, and their outside patio is super in the summer. I do wish there were more options for dessert, but the rest of the family loves the peanut butter pie. Food is still good. Busy for a Monday night. Only one waitress and she was trying hard to keep up. Good came quickly. Order taco salad this time. It was enough for 2 people. Today, 3 other co-workers and myself went to Broadway Grille in Coldwater for lunch. Typically, we have had good service and good food. My co-workers and myself even had our Christmas party there. However, today was very bad service. We were told to seat ourselves. After about 5 minutes, our server, Elora, came to our table. She did not even say "hi", until after we had prompted a friendly greeting. Our order was placed and I had ordered the fish n chips. A co-worker ordered this during our last time visiting Broadway. Her meal during that visit looked good. Fish was big and long filets that had nice white meat inside. When my fish n chips finally arrived after waiting for a half hour, was way over cooked. The filet or lack there of was so overcooked I could barely pierce it with my fork. I tried to eat around the small, tiny, overcooked filets. I did eat my french fries as they were not a problem. Our server came to our table prior to our food arriving to say our food should be out and grabbed dirty dishes from the table. Another 10 minutes she came back with no food in hand, but finally filled our ice tea cups. Our server, Elora, never came to check on how our food was and if we needed anything. We we had to call her to our table so we could get to go boxes seeing's how we were almost late back to work. I had asked her if I could receive a partial discount due to the fish and showed her. She appeared annoyed, but went and asked the manager. I was given only a 10% discount which took off a $1.30 from my bill. Seriously! Others at the table spoke up and were upset about a 10% discount as was I. The manager, unknown of her name, said the most she could do was a 25% discount because I had ate some of the fish. Yep, I had a few bites around the hard ass fish because the server never came to our table to ask how our meal was. The manager was very defensive and unprofessional. I was not being rude, not raising my voice, and typically never complain about minor food issues. However, when I am paying 12.99$ for small tiny frozen filets that were overcooked and could not be eaten, well yes, I am going to speak up. Unfortunately, due to the service and rude management I will not be back to provide my business. read more

Went back maybe the last time. Had all you could eat fish the french fries were fried in the same oil as the fish , yuch , and soggy. The fish ordered lightly fried,were hardly fried at all. Service is slow and place is very loud as there is no sound deadening material. The owner is rarely present and that is the problem,they need a professional manager. read more
