Broadway Pizza is my absolute favorite place to eat! We go multiple times every month, and the food is amazing. I always get fries for the appetizer and spaghetti and meatballs for the entree. I swear their fries are the best fries on Earth; I just adore the way they're seasoned. The spaghetti has such tasty sauce; it's abundant and just the right amount of spicy. We also have multiple special requests for our order, and they do a fantastic job of adhering to those requests, The reason I am leaving four stars instead of five is due to the bad service lately. I'm not sure why, but recently we have had two occasions where the main entrees took over an hour to come. I am guessing it may have to do with workers hiding from ICE, though. read more

This was our first time at Broadway. We had 2 orders of the happy hour cheese bread which were very good for the price. Each order is 4 pieces for only $5. We also had the boneless Buffalo wings. They were good though they could have used a bit more sauce and at $14, we felt the portion size was kinda small. We also got a large pizza to share. Pizza was good, crust was thin and crispy. Again though, we thought maybe a little more toppings would have nice. There weren't many pepperonis or mushrooms. Our server was nice and they have plenty of seating in the bar to watch football. I haven't been to many Broadway Pizza locations outside of the original location on Broadway in Minneapolis (RIP) and the Robbinsdale location. Both of which I always enjoy the pizza and overall experience. I stopped in at the Champlin location (closest to my home) on a Monday evening to grab, of all things, a burger. That may seem wild to go to a pizza place to intentionally get a burger but I was told that Broadway Pizza makes a decent burger. The restaurant was pretty much dead outside of a few folks at the bar and what looked to be a cribbage league going on in the side room. I sat at the bar and was instantly greeted by a super friendly bartender. Service was great throughout. As far as the burger, it was bad. Really bad. I honestly wasn't really expecting anything too great but expected better than this. Super dry, crusty, stale bun. Overcooked meat. Sad little pieces of bacon. With that being said. This is a pizza place and they deserve another visit from me for a pie. read more

Stay away during lunch unless dining at the buffet. The waitress made me and my granddaughter feel like second class citizens. She took our beverage order and we then waited 10 min and she never came back for our order. The whole time I could see her helping buffet customers and cleaning tables. I left money for the beverages (which I should not have done - she should of had to eat her failure out of her tips). Lately, I've been craving a dimly light pizza parlor that had some good pizza. Ever since the original Red Savoys closed in St Paul you just don't find them in Minnesota anymore. Even a Pizza Hut would be nice. A place to sit down and have a decent pizza with a beer, that gave you that almost speakeasy feel, so far, Broadway is the closest I've come. So, how was the food? Pretty darn good. Typically we always get extra cheese on our pizzas because they never seem to have enough. Next time, I don't think we're going to. I was impressed and pleased at what came out of the oven. Plenty of toppings, plenty of cheese, fairly tasty. Sausage was a little disappointing, however the crust was not. Waiter was extremely fast and friendly. Very pleased. Overall the place was clean, fairly priced, and probably the closest thing to a pizza parlor you're going to find in the suburbs these days. read more

We went there today to play photo hunt and for the buffet. The food was only "ok", the hot food was warm at best. Could have been better. The soup totally tasted like Campbells soup, I expect better. I live in Plymouth, and my elderly mom lives in Brooklyn Park. We are frequent visitors to the Champlin Broadway Pizza, as the service and the food are always great. We went for an early dinner yesterday, and I need to call out the outstanding service we received. My mom uses a walker, and was having trouble getting to her feet when it was time to leave. Our server, along with another server, came right over to assist. With their help, she got up and out to our car safely and easily. These servers were outstanding, and we appreciate you so much! We decided to give Broadway pizza another try. It's been a while and we love their pizza, however the last few times we've been there we've not had the best service. It is Friday night so we'll order on line early to be sure we get out pizza at a decent hour. We ordered our pizza at 4:20 on line to be delivered be 6:30. We didn't get out pizza until 7pm. We called to talk to the manager and she was kind enough to say she would compensate our meal, however if you are looking for consistent service this is not the place to go. Went here today for Father's Day, with all the specials we figured it would be busy. The hostess seated our party of 6 with no wait... that is until we sat at our table and proceeded to wait 2 hours for our food. She brought our pitchers of pop without cups, asked for those and waited 30 minutes, had to walk back into the kitchen multiple times to ask where our food was after the waitress/hostess said they would check.. brought our pizzas and salad without plates or silverware after sitting there with a baby for 2 hours.. apparently they forgot about us and the table next to us because everyone sat after us had their food and left within the time we were there. No managers came to apologize even though more than one were on staff. read more

Ordered takeout and was quoted 20 minutes. It took 39 minutes from when I actually received the food. That's nearly 2x what I was originally quoted and ended up having to wait the 20 minutes. We ordered the Taco pizza and it was excellent tasting. No doubt they know how to make a solid pizza; however we ended up not receiving our salsa or sour cream along the way. It was my first time at this location. It was nothing too memorable but nothing terrible. Kind of a normal 'sit down restaurant'. Sub par service, sub par but still decent food. I do enjoy the train that goes around up along the ceiling. The smell of the place made me starved. Fresh tomato sauce, fresh pizza, the spices! We ordered 2 giant deep dish cookies which were solid. I'd return for those!! The cookies were smaller the I expected. I split it with someone else and was perfect for that. Our food came out in a decent amount of time. Maybe 10 minutes max, but I wasn't really counting. But our server wasn't always around but enough that we couldn't complain. Overall good experience for a chain restaurant. First visit.. My brother took me here for dinner being from out of town. Hey, he felt like eating pizza. We got the buffett which is reasonable priced. This was our fourth buffett in 5 days go figure.... The Buffett had the usually salad bar with choices of sides and dressings. One of the only restaurants I know of that delivers! Good option to get Italian food from when I am too lazy to leave the house. Food comes hot and most of the dishes come with salad. Pizzas are okay, not a big fan of the crust. I would recommend the lasagna. read more

It's unfortunate - because I like the pizza. Delivery service has been horrible several times. Most recent order - delivery was supposed to be 1 hour from order - 1.5 hours later I called. I was told they were behind and that they didn't even have a driver to deliver our order. I asked if it was ready, because I would have gone and picked it up - was told it was another 1 hour out. That would be 2.5 hours after ordering. Needless to say, I just canceled. I realize that sometimes people don't show and perhaps scheduling isn't ideal. How about turning off delivery or at the bare minimum picking up the phone and calling the customer? This is the second time in two weeks that I have had to wait for my pizza to be ready after ordering it on-line to be picked up at a specific time. Last week I waited 7 minutes - this week it was over 15. The girl who checked said there had been some confusion and it sounded like my pizza had been given to someone else. I asked to speak to the manager and a very unpleasant woman came to talk with me. She said to calm down "it's only pizza". Then she said something like what do you want me to do - I asked what she'd like to do for me to make me happy. And yet, at least 5 people had come in and gotten their pizza while I was still waiting. Second visit with problems... I went there with the family for the second time. And for the second time in a row, all three of us experienced "GASTROINTESTINAL ISSUES"! All three of us--again--ate the same thing. We shared a couple of "Italian Hot Hoagies" and a large "Meat at Broadway Pizza". All three of us drank different things...so the beverages are off the suspect list. The service was good. The food was okay. But the side effects were troubling. I wanted to support a local business and understand they're doing their best, but my experience tonight was ridiculous. I ordered at 6:15-6:30 and the earliest delivery time was 7:45. That's a good sign - they're busy. I called at 8:15 to ask about the status of our order and was told there was one delivery ahead of us and it would be here within 35 min! I could not figure out online ordering so i called, the lady on the phone sounded extremely stupid and could not help me at all. did not know how to apply the coupon and did not know how to help me. I asked for a manager and she told me to hold on for one moment. 10 minutes later still trying to order this fricken pizza and she said the manager is busy and to apply the coupon. Broadway Pizza Champlin is my favorite restaurant. The service is better then any in Champlin. The food is wonderful. My favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza. I also love the cheesy bread! They have a great happy hour. Great selection of beer, I am always warmly greeted whenever I walk in, I have not had a bad server, although Jessie is my favorite. The trains are a nice touch.
