I really needed to use a bathroom and I figured this shell gas station would provide quickest and easiest access. I was even nice enough to buy something first. As I went to the drinks the women came out from behind the cash register and without staying a word but staring directly at me started walking right towards me. I froze and wondered if I did something wrong. She walked towards me and brushed past me to do what I have no idea. I grabbed a drink and some chips and walked up to the register where she was ringing someone up. She was just staring and not saying a word. When it was my turn she continued staring and not saying a word. By this point I was losing my courage to ask for a restroom but I did anyways.. She gave me a really weird look and said they didn't. Idk, what and odd place and what a bizarre and unfriendly staff member. Though I guess it takes a special kind of person to work at a Shell in this location. I had a terrible and deeply upsetting experience at this 76 station. I came in simply to purchase cigarettes, but the cashier refused service, discriminated against me, and kicked me out of the store for absolutely no reason. He seemed angry from the start and took his bad attitude out on me and other customers. While I was there, I watched him treat two other guests with the same awful, disrespectful service. He acts like he owns the place and has zero customer service skills or basic kindness. Management needs to address this immediately--someone this rude and discriminatory should not be working here. Blah. This is a gas station review. Everyone hates to have to pull over and fill up. "Can't we just GET there already?! If you have to pee, go now. We're NOT stopping until we have to fill up again." Plus - it's another one of those things we pay for but don't really get to enjoy. Like paying for toilet paper or toothpaste. You need it. You have to buy it. But it's not a fun purchase. This gas station is closest to where I live. They don't have a car wash, the price is usually a few cents higher than other Shells in the area and every time I go in to buy something, ask for a receipt, etc - the woman who works there is on her phone talking to someone else. Simple. I needed air in my tire. (I had 13 LBS of pressure in a tire that needs 35 LBS.) To make an incredible story short, the clearly marked sign said: Air $1.25. The clerk said, "well, I know it *says* $1.25, but it's actually $1.50. $3.00 later, I realized that while it *sounded* like the machine was working, it was not. Agree with all of the most critical reviews. Tip: pay at pump (bend over and get screwed) so you don't have to interact with rude employees or risk being accosted by drunks buying gum ($2 a pack to boot). Total ripoff and horrible service. You would think a gas station would be able to do one thing right - pump gas. But this Shell can't even do that. The premium pumps (which my car requires) always pump extremely slowly. It takes 10 minutes just to pump 12 gallons. It has been like this for over a year. I make the mistake of going back once or twice a year, thinking surely they must have fixed it by now. But nope, it's consistently agonizingly slow. Usually I give up and leave before the tank is full. I ended up having a flat tire today before going to work. Made a round trip via Lyft to the closest auto parts store to grab some fix-a-flat to suffice until I get to the gas station. After I get the rim off the ground I make my way here which happens to be the closest. Upon arriving I realize I don't have enough change so I figure I'd grab a bottle of water and ask for a couple bucks in quarters... There is guy in front of me who asks to pay for a pack of cigarettes with about $3 in quarters and the rest on his BECU debit card he had in his hands. The clerk (older black female in her 50's) fumbles around with the cash register until she realizes she doesn't know how to make the split then throws the quarters back at him shouting, "you don't have money. Get out of here. Don't come back!!!" The poor guy was shocked and left pretty confused, "wtf, I had money?!" My turn. As she rings up my water I ask for a couple of dollars in quarters to fill my tire and she responds rudely, "WE DON'T HAVE THAT HERE!". I thought to myself you would have if you sold the cigarettes to that guy before me... I turn away and tell her I no longer need the water because I only needed the change when she yells at me and demands I return the bottle where it came from. Lmao, no way I was doing that so boom, I became the second person in two minutes to be banned from the store. I hope she is related to the owner/manager in some way because there is no way this crazy lady should be working in any capacity. I can not recommend this gas station. I had an issue with my car and asked for help. The lady who was working in the shop made me wait while she was talking to a friend. Then she told me that it was too late to call a mechanic and continued her private conversation. I asked for help again, but she just smiled at me and recommended to ask other customers. Tried to put air in my tire, put a quarter in and nothing happened. I went in and asked for my quarter back, was told the machine was $1.25! Upon closer inspection the machine has a faded 125 number on it, not $1.25 or even 1.25. He would not refund the quarter because the machine is owned by someone else, when pushed because this is a horrible customer experience, I was told that the machine is own by the same company but that he can't refund because his drawer will be off at the end of night. I came in after my mother and I got a flat tire on the freeway (I'm also a local and attend Seattle Central and have been a frequent customer for 15 years). Tomae (sp?) was so horrendously rude when i asked for help. I asked if they had air, she said no(which isn't true) when we tried to buy something she would not allow us to and said she would give us a ticket if we stayed and called AAA. All this after us sharing our trouble and fear with her and her saying "I'm new, I don't know and I don't care", those were her words verbatim. I downloaded the yelp app solely to write this. This place is not good as i expect when i enter the store. I don't know how many manager they have but i hit on the rude guy. One of the cashier tell me that i can return the Gasoline Can and get the full refund if it has the same condition as when i bought it within a month. the cashier that worked on 6/29/18 at 6:30am and also on 7/1/18 at 2:30am is stealing from the customers and business. Friday in the a.m. went in for a pack of cigarettes and the cashier said cash only, scan the cigarettes which came up to $11 and change, gave him a $20 and my change was only $5. back and forth on the price of the cigarette which he said was actually $15 ask for my money back then he said sorry he was hoping for a tip because he don't make enough working at the gas station. Feeling good that morning so I let him have the $3 and change. Sunday in the a.m after hour standing in line outside to get in the gas station, 4 people came out complaining that the cashier over priced their stuff. made it in and realize the credit card machine was not working and the barcode scanner was not working. 2 customers before me did not buy their stuff because it was overpriced. My turn and the cashier said cash only and I just walk out. I was amazed at all the the products sitting behind him from the customers that decided not to buy. If I could give zero stars I would. This Shell location has the worst staffing by far. I have been in a few times because this is a convenient location. I visit both for gas as well and the basic selection of items in the store. Every time I go in I'm treated rudely and almost combatively. My last and final visit consisted of me needing to put air in my tires. DO NOT use the pressure gauge attached to the pump. It doesn't work and will over inflate your tires. When I realized this I went inside to purchase a tire pressure gauge. Upon using the gauge I found that it didn't work so I went inside to see if I could just swap it out. The man behind the counter proceeded to yell at me in front of 4 other customers. I calmly I said that the item was defective and I could explain why it didn't work ( it was missing a small gasket that goes inside ) he continued to yell at me and tell me it worked like if he just kept saying it over and over it'd become true. I told him it wasn't worth the argument and asked him to throw it away. Again he proceeded to yell saying it was fine and he didn't want it. I left it on the counter and walked out. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have done that in case he just put it back out to resell. Bottom line I spend thousands a year on gas and they chose to be rude and aggressive over a faulty $3 gauge. I simply won't return. People that are consistently rude to their customers and create a hostile environment don't deserve to profit. Additionally, as a shell station, they are able to participate in the rewards program with QFC and choose not to. We all need to make a living and I understand being protective of a business but this doesn't negate the need to treat people with the kindness and respect we all deserve. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced in my life! The cashier had been selling me cigarettes at least every other day for months. He had checked my i.d prior to this one particular day which I'm assuming he woke up on the shit side of the bed. I asked for cigarettes, the same kind as every other day. He for whatever reason didn't "know" what I was asking for. I pointed to the box again and again. I described them by color and he touched every box except the ones I wanted. How ironic? I showed him my pack so he knew what it would look like. He then decided I already had cigarettes and he didn't need to sell me any and reached over the counter to help the person behind me. I politely asked the person behind me to wait. They found this comical and waited. The guy behind the counter rolled his eyes and suddenly knew what box I wanted. He asked for my id. I had to go home (block away) to get it. On my way out he told me not to come back. I got my passport, waited in line again to buy cigarettes. When I got to the counter suddenly they were all out of kamel reds. The whole row apparently had been sold in 5 minutes. I saw them thrown behind a box and after directing him to find them he charges me $9.99. I asked why the price was different and he said it was "because." I brought up the price variations in the past and he rolled his eyes and charged me the regular price. At this point I got to hand him a $100 bill. He asks if I have exact cash. I explain I obviously don't and he refuses my money. I explained it was illegal to refuse American tender. He says I am holding up his line and I had to leave. I suggested one of the three other associates ring up the line behind me. At this point this Guy is pissed. After expanding on entrapment (pricing variables or incorrectly posted prices) and he is bound by law to accept my money he surprisingly rolls his eyes again and takes the $100. I ask if he was even going to bother to check my Id. He refuses to accept my passport. What a shock and wont give me cigarettes or my change. So I call the police. He told the police I tried to steal cigarettes that's why they were on the floor. After I explained what had happened the cop asked the Guy if my story was true. And he agreed it was (what an idiot) so the cop stayed to make him give me back the wrong change (he gave me back a broken $100) never charged me for smokes and told me he gave me back my passport. The guy did not gibe me my passport. So we waited 10 minutes as he waited on other people until the cop told him to stop and give me my passport. He magically pulled it out from under the counter. As I was leaving with the cop he yelled to me to never come back. The cop then told him I could go in there whenever I wanted as long as I was a paying customer. An hour and a half later I finally had cigarettes. Whenever I go in there now that Guy refuses to wait on me and will take a break to avoid me. read more
