Plain clothed security guard harassed me without identifying himself as security. I told the cashier I was being harassed and he told me "don't worry about it." Store isn't bad its well lit and they have a decent range of products I like how safe it feels compared to other gas stations, maybe the gas is a little more costly but the inside is nice and clean compared to other places would recommend it if you want a quick stop for snacks. read more

Another story of, "I was running on fumes", which practically is always the case for me gassing up in downtown Seattle with not a bar remaining on my gas meter. Normal stuff in my life, pushing the car right to the brink of dying (I gotta stop doing this!) so I asked my dear to please find us a close enough gas station before our night bar meeting with another Yelp friend in Belltown, and this is the one that popped out on the radar. Close to the Space Needle I have never been to this side of town at night, and for good reason too. Forget about the gas prices first, I'll get to that in a little while, but it's in an odd location from the type of public that is around here. Any later in the night I might risk my lack of gas and go to another one due to the shady characters that roam around like zombies in this area. The one thing I noticed being here at 9 pm, it felt like midnight and it felt like I was going to be approached by a panhandler, no fault of the gas station at all. Going in to pay before I pump it just felt off, non-welcoming, like being outside, minus the potential pan-handlers. I was amazed at the extreme mark-up of gas compared to being outside of downtown, sure I'll give you the excuse of being in the city, but not to the extent of being ripped off, or robbed at 'gas-point'. Don't bother filling up, just put enough in so you can get some if you are residing outside the city, you'll save.. not a few cents... more like a few dollars! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!! These people are thieves! went in to buy a few things. got a bottle of water, sandwich, banana and a protein drink. Went up to pay and the 3 employees were all behind the counter, 2 guys sitting on the counter one guy working the register. they all kept giving me some very hostil stairs and were talking amongst themselves the whole time I was in there. when he rang me up he inserts everything manually, didn't scan anything, and never gave me a total just pointed to the card reader. I put the card in but then noticed on his register that wasn't clear for me to see at all that the total was 49 dollars!! I asked him if that was my total and he pretended not to know what I was saying and pointed at the card reader again and the other 2 guys sat there starting at me trying to intimidate me it felt like. I took my card and and called them out then they immediately changed their tone, all the sudden he could understand me and apologized. Another guy re entered everything and dropped it down to 16. I've heard this has happened to multiple people at this place. I'd give no stars if I could read more

I go here for gas because it's on my rout. I noticed they charged an extra $1.58 when I asked for $20 worth of gas but I was just there earlier for $6 received no additional fee????? So they are randomly stealing. Also sexually harassing female customers. The tallest man asked how I was doing and I responded by asking him the same. The store side of this Shell is pretty big, one of the largest ones I've seen in Seattle. They have a large selection of snacks, gum, etc. as a result. I pumped gas & paid cash. The cashier barely acknowledged me, busy talking to someone else behind the counter. THEY ARE STEALING FROM YOU ALL. I went there yesterday to pick up juices and snacks, 7 items total. They guy at the counter starting manually inputting items, not scanning. he said: It Is $38.29. I was excuse me??? I was literally buying 2 caprisun, one chocolate bar, 1 bottled water, 2 mini wines and one cheese crackers. The Employee answered: Oh , it is the sales tax. They are SCAMMING TOURISTS, he knows he is in a hot location and he is probably keeping those extra charges for him q. Also, the guy behind the counter who wasn't running the cash register was mumbling to himself and when I asked how their night was going, he replied "good, bud deeeeee" and then for the rest of the cash transaction he sang an improvised childish song about 'bud deee'. The guys who work here are very rude. I couldn't figure out how to use the pump and I specifically didn't know that the pump holder had to be lifted up to start fueling. I hadn't really seen one like this so I asked for help but at first one of them just talked shit in Hindi about how I couldn't figure it out(I speak Hindi so I could understand them). One of them finally came out after asking for help twice and all he did was show me a bunch of attitude and curse me out under his breath. Yowza! Gas is expensive at this location. Being in the 'city' but not quite 'in' the city, you'd think that this location wouldn't be gouging you at the pump. Just your standard gas station. This one was in Seattle though, which is why I loved it LOL

This gas station seems to attract a more violent and disrespectful clientele at night than others in the neighborhood, so much so that the convenience store closes from 2 to 3 a.m. at least a few nights a week. The staff is always helpful and friendly though, even as they endure constant verbal abuse from gang members, crackheads, and whores. Probably the best gas station food selection I've ever seen; the pre-made sandwiches are delivered from a local company daily and are delicious; try the chicken salad and the roast beef with pesto mayo. There are fresh salads too, and even vegan sandwiches and pastries. Lots of canned and bottled beverages also, and the store is clean, neat, and well lit. read more

Wow, I came to look at these reviews because I was stunned by the rude and angry behavior of the store manager. I was traveling and wanted to use up some extra change, so I carefully counted out the exact amount (mainly quarters and only 1 penny, even though I had many more) for him. His eyes flared and he screamed, 'give me the money'. It was sitting 1 foot in front of him on the counter! He somehow took it as an insult that I had used change. This guy is a major rage-a-holic and it seemed that other staff members had the same negative feel. Not at all the way I would think a high-end international brand would want to be represented. The men who run this Shell station are extremely creepy. I live nearby and have gone there late at night when other stores are closed, the cashiers have always made me feel very unconformable. I've even gone in with my boyfriend to buy beer, and having him there did not stop them from ogling me. I've also heard this from female friends.
