For 2 years now L&L has been helping me turn my property into a welcome mat for Mother Nature. They have rebalanced my trees to make them weather resistant, advised on how to get rid of invasive non-native plants like stiltgrass and dog fennel, planted dogwood and redbud, and are completing the first year of installing a native prairie in place of the lawn. Big plus, I don't need to pay a gardner or be one of those schlubs out there mowing my grass in the heat every week. When you go native, nature maintains itself with only tweaks from you. I'm not a plant or nature geek and being from out of state I don't know much about NC plants but the L&L folks explain to me at every visit how doing this or that supports these and those. I tell people my yard is saving all of nature in NC one plant at a time (you can thank me later). I love having experts help me do it. BTW, you don't have to be home when they're working. Before they come, be clear to them on your goal and any details that matter to you. They'll leave a hand written note telling you what they did and why.

We have previously worked with Leaf & Limb which should have past documentation about how we are conservative in cutting our dogwood. But now, our dogwood has been irreparably changed in shape. You cannot glue cut tree limbs. I cannot express how heartbroken I am that our beloved tree has been trimmed in a way that did not at all reflect our desires. Dave and the crew at Monkey Tree Service did an excellent job of removing 7 large trees within a…read moreday and were impressive not only in their skill and precision at removing some of the trees with difficult access, but also in the way they cleaned up the yard and left everything impeccable when they left. They arrived promptly in the morning, were extremely pleasant to deal with and had all their own equipment, so they were able to grind the stumps before they left. The crew seemed very accustomed to working with each other, so they were incredibly well coordinated and synchronized, with each person knowing exactly what to do to perform their part of the job to perfection.
