This is a go to snack while at the beach. You need to eat them while they are hot. The lines can be very long, I have gone and wait 10 min and also gone and waited over an hour. Also you need CASH

Ok I get it now, and the 50 deep line wait was worth it. This place makes 1 thing: donuts. And it makes 1 style of donut only: fried, glazed and delicious. No frills, old school cash registers, cash only, but holy @#$% do they make an exceptional one! The prices are legit. Buck twenty five for one, $7 for half a dozen, and $13 for a dozen. We ordered half a dozen and when we got home we were pleasantly surprised to have 8 in the bag. Was this an error? I doubt it. Was it because of the wait? Highly doubt that again since there's always a wait. And $7 for 8 of these bad boys is a steal. And now for the actual donut... They are hand made so you get all different shapes and sizes. These puppies are pulled fresh from the fryer and served piping hot. They're covered in glaze, but not the kind that is thick and just sticks on top. It melts into every nook and cranny of the dough becoming a part of it. That first bite is warm buttery and sweet. You get the outer crisp and the softer delicate inner taste all at once. No frills, no toppings, no tricks, nothing. Just pure perfection. If you're in the area this is a must stop bucket list type of place. Don't worry about the line or the wait, it's worth it.

Clearly this place needs no introduction or convincing. It's the second best reason to come to the beach. Beach. Britt's. That's all you need. The donuts are delicious. They're very "airy" they're not heavy like your typical donut you'd find at Dunkin's. The taste is amazing. It's just a phenomenal experience overall. There's going to be a wait, but it's worth it.

This is hands down the best donut shop I've ever been to. Imagine if a Krispy Kreme donut and a buttery croissant had the perfect baby--that's what these donuts taste like. Light, flaky, melt-in-your-mouth goodness with just the right amount of sweetness. The real insider tip: ask for the double dip! It takes an already incredible donut to another level and is absolutely worth it. One thing to know before you go: bring cash, because they're cash only. If you're a donut lover, this place is a must-visit. I'll be dreaming about these donuts until my next trip back!

We came all the way from Phoenix, Arizona to visit North Carolina and going to Britt's was at the top of my list! My dad used to take me here every summer and my most recent trip was 15 years later. It truly has not changed one bit!! The staff is friendly, the donuts are delicious and the price is right. There is just something comforting about a place like this. It's a popular spot so I hear the lines are long in the morning, but the lines seem to go by pretty fast. There's a nostalgic feel to sitting at the counter at the barstool counter. Nothing quite like it. Can't wait to go back!

Classic stop while strolling the pier. There is a little wait as they are extremely popular. However, they are well worth it! Especially, if you eat them while still warm and fresh out of the oven. The building gives a 1950s vibe with the colors and layout of the bar seats and tables. When in doubt buy the dozen!

Always a staple when in Carolina beach! Get there early, the line always wraps around the block

Fast service even when busy. Walk up and order and wait, counter spots to eat. Delish donut, light yet crispy and glazed perfectly. Cash only. Retro diner vibes inside.

Can't eat the price of their donuts. $1.25 each and that includes tax. They only make one kind of donut and it's a light one, glazed and is served made to order, warm and melty. On a Sunday morning in June the wait time was about 30 minutes, but it's air conditioned inside if you can find a seat. The counter people are nice and the donuts are light and fluffy. Many customers were getting multiple dozens ($13 per). They've been doing it here since 1939, so obviously what they're doing is working. No wifi and no call ahead orders. I'd return here for sure, but next time I'd order more to take home.

We arrived around 4:30 and beat the dinner rush, which gave us a beautiful evening outside. From the moment we sat down, it felt less like going to a restaurant and more like coming home after a long day at the beach. Our servers, Abigail and Allie, were both wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like that is getting harder to find these days, and they deserve a lot of credit. We started with the fried okra, and there were barely any left by the time I thought to take a picture. Crisp, hot, and some of the best we've had. The Black and Red wings were excellent too--full of flavor with just the right amount of kick. The fries were seasoned and cooked just right. The outside seating has a great atmosphere, and even the little details stood out. The place was clean, including the restroom, and seeing their 97.5 sanitation score posted proudly gave us even more confidence. They even had a Venus flytrap outside--only in Carolina Beach can a restaurant have its own bug patrol on duty. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

The everything bagel with sausage and egg was outstanding. One thing that immediately stood out was that the seasoning actually covers the entire bagel--not just the top like you find at so many places. Looking around, it appears they do the same with their sesame, poppy, and other specialty bagels. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in every bite. The restaurant was clean, bright, and welcoming. Their chalkboard menu is easy to read, there's an impressive variety of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cream cheese flavors, and even a full vegan menu. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. What impressed me even more than the food was the staff. Everyone I encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming. They noticed I was a military veteran and applied the veteran discount without me having to ask, which was a thoughtful gesture that I sincerely appreciated. Whether you're grabbing breakfast on the way to work or just looking for a great bagel, Seaside Bagels is well worth the stop.
