We never missed a payment until the final two months, and only because he refused to accept the money, giving him another excuse. He evicted us anyway. Now the eviction record makes renting an apartment nearly impossible. Three months in he had already threatened eviction over a text. I'll leave it to people to decide what kind of person he is.

I will absolutely plan to update this review through the lifetime of the project and my windows, which I am very excited for. When you buy something you usually know instantly if you have nervous feelings (second guesses) about your decision, or if you made the right one. Right now I can confidently say I feel like I made the right one, and in actuality should have made my decision sooner. So far I have nothing but good things to say about Venture Window. The quoting process has been very straightforward, and easier than other companies I tried to get quotes through. My sales person, Scott, has been professional, honest, courteous, and dependable from the start. I have gotten other quotes from other companies and found them to be overly salesy (and some of them quoting insane prices) but Venture Window, and Scott, pretty much tell it like it is with no sugarcoating. Venture Window also had extremely competitive pricing for the tier/range of window that I wanted (mid tier). Venture Window is different from other window companies because I felt like they were the most human, and I can say I interacted with a lot of companies before making this important decision. I felt like Venture, represented by Scott, was empathetic to the reasons for my purchasing a window and more importantly to my budget. Rather than getting a one-size-fits-all glammed up sales pitch complete with a free pen and keychain, I instead got a professional conversation, two-way dialog, and some honest and valuable education on windows, to meet the specific needs I was looking to solve for (energy efficient and budget-friendly) which totally demonstrates the caliber of the staff. Another word to describe Scott is patient, which created a sense of ease in the purchasing process. There was not a moment that I felt rushed through the entire purchasing experience, and my purchasing decision probably took longer than most people. I had a chance to visit the showroom before my final purchase decision to physically compare the windows. There is quite a huge selection from to the most basic/budget-friendly window, up to the most premium cadillac of windows. They had a lot of unique windows like skylights and the fancier natural wooden ones. It was really valuable for me to see the windows in person to be able to see how they open, tilt inward, the locking mechanisms, and the construction, to see the differences in the windows that I had the options of choosing. There is only so much you can understand from a brochure. In the showroom, Scott explained the subtle differences between the windows (things you can see, as well as things you cannot), as well as how the windows I was considering differed from the most budget-friendly option, for comparison sake. This was a good learning experience because it shows that in many ways the statement 'you get what you pay for' is so true, while in other ways, any new window will be better than my current 110-year-old, super drafty and rickety windows. For example, did you know ALL windows must be manufactured to a certain minimum quality standard? I did not know this before working with Venture. I was glad to visit the showroom because I could see that for the price, the option I selected is of good quality. In fact they seem more durable and sturdy than a lot of windows in places I've lived before, or the windows in friends/family members' houses. Once I literally felt the quality and construction of the window, I could tell that I was making the right decision. If you care about your crazy heat bills and are wanting to some modernity, like me, you can't go wrong with Venture. The last time I had glass shatter spontaneously was back in '24 when our winter storm door screen was completely pulverized by the summer heat, it seems (Pro-life tip: swap out your storm door screens in the summer with mesh ones). On the back of that unforeseen devastation, out went my mass inquiries to all the local shops servicing the Nashua area. Out of maybe 5 (?), 3 responded almost instantly. One sent a quote so high, I was half tempted to reply and ask if I could have some of whatever they were smoking. Another replied with what seemed to be a promising rate, but there was one problem. Their communication was severely intermittent to the point where they inexplicably ghosted me faster than a recruiter responding to a job applicant. Ultimately, I settled on Good Window Works. They offered a fair quote, were easy to get ahold of, and even provided a COI statement as per the request of our housing board. For those unaware, a COI is a Certificate of Insurance. Basically, it's assurance to the board that the contractor in question is insured to complete the job without creating a liability if they, say....jam their thumb beneath a tack hammer or something. With those formalities out of the way, the job was simple enough: Replace the half of the basement window that abruptly disintegrated. All in all, the job took roughly 2 hours. In the end, the window he installed was so transparent, it looked like there was no pane at all in the frame. But no--the glass was just THAT pristine! I don't say this often, but....experiences like these are what I love most about being a Yelp writer. So rarely do I get to be in the position to not only promote another hard working local business, but also pose as the microcosmic advertising vehicle that just might serve as the prompt some very fortunate individual needs to go, "Yeah, I'm hiring this place to work on my house".
