Went with friends on a Saturday night and surprisingly it wasn't as busy as we thought it'd be! Me…read moreand two friends were able to get a small room with no wait. Once in the room, they showed us how to operate the system (basically an iPad connected to a smart TV to project) and were able to switch out batteries for one of the mics. They came to our room when they said it was our last song. Atmosphere is so cool, with lots of lights and mirrors. The walls aren't sound proof so you'll hear other singers, but not enough to harm your performance. They also had mic covers to protect from spit. We had a great time, but be warned there is an automatic 15% service charge. Would love to come back with a bigger group!

Came here to celebrate my sissy birthday!! OH WHAT A NIIIIGHT!!!…read more This was my first time coming to Golden Lounge KTV and an absolute first if visiting any kind of karaoke establishment in general. Located in Fremont, this is apparently the largest private room karaoke joint in all of NorCal. There are 19 rooms that truly are soundproof- THANK GOODNESS. The room options here are: *SMALL [housing 2-5 guests comfortably] *MEDIUM [housing 6-8 guests] *LARGE [9-15 guests] *VIP ROOM [16-30 guests] Costs per hour ranges depending on the room you decide on and the larger the room is, the service fees increase. TBH, there isn't much servicing happening beyond someone taking you to your room and handing off the mics and letting you do your thang. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I only wished I had know beforehand that food and drinks are okay to bring in on your own. There is a neighboring business where we ended up buying snacks and foods at but I would have loved a few bags of jerky and XX Hot Cheetos. There are specialty Asian flavors of Lay's potato chips and drinks for sale. Cold sodas, iced teas, sparkling flavored waters, red bulls, beer, Truly, sake, and soju are available but these are beyond overpriced. Spend at your own risk because things add up quickly. Rooms come equipped with tambourines and the staff will come in to give you a 5 minute warning of your time being up. 4 Stars overall, this was such a fun and memorable night!! I'd easily come back again but would be a lot more prepared in terms of the foods and drinks the next time around.

This pitcher of soda was around $20 Pitcher of water -free. They charged cleaning fee of 18% It was pricey but it was worth it because the area is safe and the place was clean. It was easy to operate their sound system, Walter the staff taught us. You have to prepare the songs you want to sing to enter to the karaoke sound system. Lots of parking and restaurants around the place. We didn't order food so I don't know about their food, but they only have snacks.

Service was fine and the place is clean and updated. I just cannot imagine that in the year 2026, they have no way of playing YouTube karaoke on their screen. We were told we can play YouTube but it will just have the music playing on the speakers and the lyrics will be on the phone only. No screen mirroring capability or any way to connect it to the big TV. Which was really a disappointment because their song selections are limited, they did not have an extensive library. The sound system also was not the best. I have a JBL karaoke at home which would have performed better. Anyways we still made the most of it and had a good time. I really hope they can improve the sound system and find some way to connect to YouTube, otherwise I can't see myself going back. Which is a shame because this place has so much potential.

If I recall, the same counter that takes your food/ drink orders also assigns the karoke rooms. The room we had as very nice, had a comfy couch and they even gave us 4 mics! Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all stop by and check them out when you're in the area. Parking is the challenge.

The music room and bathroom were both clean. Audio quality is solid. However, after ruminating on…read morethe experience once we arrived home, several concerns became clear that ultimately deterred me from returning. Pricing was not straightforward or transparent. Upon arriving, we were told that all the rooms were booked and no follow up questions from their end. This remained the same throughout the entirety of the communication. I had to inquire all the questions, thinking I was asking the right ones to know prices and availability. I was wrong. With my questions, the answers I received were: 1) small room would take about 1 hour and 2) medium room would be about 40-45 minutes. Again, no follow up question from them whether which room we want, offering prices for each room, and asking if we wanted to put our name down. I only asked if the medium price would be the same as small, since we only had 2 people. That's something I should have reworded because what I actually wanted to know is how much would it be for 2 people--this was after 9:30 PM, for a medium room. I want to highlight that even though I am responsible for inquiries for clarification, a general rule also uniformly applies for businesses to be upfront with pricing and services for clarification. In short, that was completely absent throughout the interaction. We didn't know better, since we are not usuals at this establishment, which truly did feel that this was intentionally done to upcharge us. At the time, we chose convenience and said we would take whichever room--small or medium, as they stated--became available first. The medium room became available about 15 minutes after we had returned earlier to ask how to get on the "waitlist." Yet again, the process itself was never explained nor openly offered to us. We were informed of the $99/hour charge for the medium room only after being called up to the front desk/food station area, when the staff member was already writing the price on the receipt with a clipboard. This key detail should have been clearly disclosed at the very beginning of the first interaction--way before the signing at the desk to enter the room. My previous paragraphs can be referenced to this. Instead, signing and entering the room was processed as both the very first and final contact/confirmation. Thus, we weren't given any pricing and details prior until our name was called and came to the desk to sign. That is the primary issue: not disclosing the needed information well in advance until signing. Also, to their other review response --if there were management, then it could be with the person overseeing the computer, whom I directed the questions to. Like other reviewers have mentioned (which, in hindsight, we should have read more closely), there was a noticeable lack of transparency. We essentially had to ask every question ourselves in order to get basic information. Even then, the responses were brief and only addressed exactly what we asked--without offering additional context or details that would have helped us fully understand the pricing or process. And that in itself--is dishonest. Deceptive, too. Because of the lack of intent and transparency, we also weren't offered pricing information with the small room at any given point. So for those who wish to visit this establishment, be mindful of the highly, subtle deception. Perhaps you could try and ask directly for the pricing of each room, depending on head count, but who knows if they would provide information in all the extent needed for customers to make an informed decision. The medium room could fit 6-8 people maximum from our perception. The pricing on the website does not provide any room sizing price, or estimation. Just by head count, so essentially, we were being charged for the 9-10 people ($99/hr rate) that is listed on the webpage. Yes, here's the fine print from the website: "RATES & ROOM CAPACITY: The final rate will be based on either room size or total number of people, with the higher rate applied." If the $99/hr charge was purely due to the medium room size, as it did note that a "higher rate may apply," then that would have been understandable--if that information had been deliberately shared to us well in advance before signing. Even then, it becomes much more questionable since it seems that 6-8 people ($79/hr) could be accommodated in a medium size room. If so, then this was an upcharge, given all information had been nebulous. However, the issue I am pointing out here is the extreme lack of transparency and the involuntary manner in how the information was provided before signing. The general answers mentioned above were disclosed only when prompted by our questions, and even then the responses remained consistently evasive and limited. The quote above was already included in this original post. Read the latest response to see how they confirmed their own fradulence. Never was offered a large yet was given one and upcharged.
