Tldr: Solid karaoke spot with nice rooms and helpful staff. The karaoke system is a little difficult. I called to make a VIP room reservation, and the staff member was helpful and patient in explaining the situation with the rooms (essentially that there were a few other large parties with reservations on that day, might need to switch rooms at some point). It was fine and I booked a room. When we arrived, the staff member found our reservation right away and wrote down the time that we checked in as our starting time. He was thorough in showing us how the karaoke system works, which was necessary because it's kind of confusing. Overall the customer service was great. We ended up using YouTube, but their account doesn't let you queue songs so you have to search each new song after the current one is done. It worked out fine but wasn't ideal because it adds time in between songs and you can't queue a song every time you think of one. Also, the touchscreen is mounted to the wall so you have to physically go to type the songs in. The room looked clean and they were upfront about a 15% service fee (though I disagree with the concept of having a fee -- just add extra to the base price so people know off the bat what the price will be instead of having to calculate it). You're allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks. The sound system worked well. If you can adjust your standards in terms of UX on the karaoke system itself, this is a decent place. read more

Our issues started when we simply called to inquire about pricing for a private room for 5 people for my mom's 60th birthday. The lady we spoke to was in a rush to get off of the phone multiple times before we were finished with our questions which was rude. When we arrived, the same lady was working in the front. She wasn't welcoming at all. When she took us to the room she hastily explained how to play songs from YouTube. She was going so fast it was hard to understand what she was saying. Also, the room had the AC on blast and my grandparents were with us & they were feeling cold so we asked to turn the AC off but she never did. The lack of compassion or awareness that we had senior citizens in our group was appalling. Very cold lady at the register. Very short with responses. It seems like it's not just with us though cause she was the same with another group that was paying. She even accidentally handed a different ID to them that she had to chase them down. Otherwise, it's such a nice karaoke venue. Songs are played through Youtube. Mics are working fine and if they stop working, it's a quick battery change in the front. It seems like a freezer when you first get in the room but it eventually adjusts. For up to a group of 5, it was $49 an hour and from Monday-Thursday before midnight it's buy 2 get 1 free but Zelle or Venmo only. They do offer a free drink with a 5-star Yelp/Google review though I genuinely think it's a great karaoke venue apart from customer service. read more

Came here on a Friday night around 10:30 PM with a group of five. There was no wait. There were a lot of people sitting in the front lobby, although I think they might've been waiting for friends. We were greeted immediately and told that we could just come check in once our entire party was there. I saw people holding boba and snacks, and asked if we can bring our own food. Once the cashier said yes, we headed to 7-Eleven to come back with chips and drinks. I think there might be a corkage fee for alcoholic drinks, but I'm not sure. The space is beautiful, feels a bit like a nightclub with the way the lights are set up. The bathroom is clean. The rooms were spacious and in various sizes. This is probably the most high-tech karaoke spot I've ever been to. The browser to use YouTube was a bit laggy, but everything else was quick. There is Wi-Fi available. We didn't order any food or drinks from the menu, but there are a variety of options to choose from as well as a fridge and Chinese chips in the front that you can purchase. We stayed for two hours and it was $50 an hour. We ended up paying around $25 per person after service fee and tax. Overall, it was a chill place to spend time with friends, and the soundproofing from other rooms was not that bad. Given how easy everything was in terms of getting a room booked, bringing your own food, and choosing songs, I would definitely come back here! read more

Had a great time here with friends! They have different price tiers from 1-5, then 6-8 people. You pay for the hour for the amount of people. It was an awesome experience. It's an easy check in when they walk you to the room, set up the machine to queue up song, and leave you to enjoy the room. I would give this place a try if you and your friends are big karaoke people. The rooms are fairly spacious and the set up is nice. While we were there, the YouTube buffered a few times but as soon as we told an employees they got on it right away and fixed the issue. I was told this hasn't happened in the past so I think it may have been slower wifi due to the heavy rain we've been experiencing. The one and only complaint I have was for the bathroom hence my 3 star rating instead of 5. The bathroom was extremely dirty and one stall had no toilet paper while the other one ran out of toilet seat covers. I also noticed that the soap was low and they just added water to it which in my opinion is gross! There were also no napkins to dry your hands. If this was an establishment that serviced food I would've given it 1 star as this was extremely unsanitary. I really hope they fix this issue, a gas station bathroom is cleaner and more functional. read more

Wanted to try this place because I love karaoke. Came on a Friday early evening and it was really quiet. The worker in the front wasn't that friendly or engaging but she did her job. We got a room and the song choices are decent. You use a machine that's on the wall and don't feel like it was user friendly. The sound was decent but it wasn't the best. We asked for help turning up the volume, and while she did help, her demeanor made it feel like we were bothering her. We initially planned to stay for just one hour, but decided to extend. Before doing so, we confirmed with her about the happy hour deal (2 hours + 1 hour free), and she said it was fine. However, after two hours, she came back and told us we couldn't get the promotion because we brought drinks. This was never clearly explained upfront, and the inconsistency was frustrating. This time was completely different. During the confrontation, she started speaking in Chinese, which made it even more frustrating and unprofessional. She also kept me there for about 10 minutes arguing, which completely wasted our time and disrupted our night. Came here for karaoke, but the service completely ruined the experience. From the start, the staff had a bad attitude. We originally planned to stay for one hour, but decided to extend because of the 2+1 promotion (Mon-Thurs before midnight). Later, she came in and told us we had exceeded two hours, which didn't make sense. When I tried to explain, she rolled her eyes and said we didn't qualify for the promotion because we brought drinks something that was never clearly explained to us beforehand.They also automatically include a service fee, but honestly, the service was not worth it at all. Totally ruined our mood and definitely not coming back again. There are plenty of other karaoke spots with much better service for the same price. read more

On the plus side, I can report that their rooms look good and their sound system is fine (once you open the cabinet and tweak the volume & echo settings). I can't say how well their built-in karaoke system work (other reviewers say it's user-unfriendly and limited in song selection) since my group decided to just use YouTube the whole time. But it doesn't much matter, since to me, this place is capped at two stars anyway for being such a dishonest business. How dishonest? Let me count the ways: Exhibit A: There's a sign on the counter bribing "GET FREE DRINK" to anyone who leaves a 5-star review here on Yelp. If you sort these reviews by Newest First, it's easy to notice how there are almost SIXTY consecutive fluffy, single-sentence reviews that say almost nothing of substance. Now you know why. (Before this fake review explosion, their Yelp score was down around 3.4.) Exhibit B: They inflate every bill with an automatic 20% "service fee". Many reviewers have pointed out how it's wrong to charge a fee even when no service is requested, but that's actually the lesser crime here. The greater crime is including karaoke in this calculation at all, because the nature of karaoke as a SELF-SERVICE ACTIVITY means that charging a "service" fee for it is inherently horseshit. It's probably also illegal under California's new junk fee law (SB 478) that took effect in July. Exhibit C: Just to milk a few extra pennies out of people, they even add padding to the sales tax, charging 9.385% instead of 9.375%. LOL. Exhibit D: Instead of a straightforward system of charging by the size of the room, they use a blended method where they charge extra if more people show up. Of course the adjustment only works one way -- upwards, in their favor. Our group started with only 10 people (eventually 12-13), yet they placed us in their gigantic room for 16+ people, and in the end, charged us accordingly. I sent a message pointing out the discrepancy, which they simply ignored; apparently they were all too happy to pocket an extra $53. How consistent. After all the overcharging, the whole outing ended up costing each person in our group ~$15 per hour, which is not competitive at all. For you karaoke fans who'd rather give your money to more ethical businesses, I suggest avoiding: -Pure Karaoke in Milpitas (here) -Focus Karaoke in San Jose -K Time Karaoke in San Francisco All are owned by the same people. read more
