On a whim I decided I wanted a second hole in my ears. I googled places that were local and highly rated and Brilliance Piercing consistently kept showing up in my searches. I knew I wanted to steer far away from mall piercing locations after a bad cartilage piercing experience in college. Since I was in the area on a random weekday I popped in to find out how everything worked. I met Jen and was able to ask her a few questions and booked my appointment for the following week. When I came back, the process was easy enough, as I had already essentially pre-selected what earrings I was going to purchase. The piercing itself was quick and Jen carefully informed me of every step along the way. I felt a quick pinch in each ear, but the pain subsided quickly. Went here today with both my girls for a 17th birthday piercing. Great experience and customer service!!! We were immediately greeted by Elizabeth with a friendly welcome. The sitting area was full and the shop has a great feel. Clearly weekends are busy, but do to a lucky break and a call in cancellation why we were there, they were able to fit us in. Elizabeth was very helpful with helping her pick jewelry Mom and the birthday girl were satisfied with. Jen performed the birthday girl's piercing. The birthday girl decided on a tragus piercing. Jen was very clear in explaining the process and the cleaning and care routine. She also explained everything before she did it which was very much appreciated as this girl is a real needle skeptic. Everything went exactly as planned. No screams occurred which was very surprising to me!!!She made everyone feel very comfortable. The shop and piecing area were spotless. She cleaned the piercing area with a appropriate prep, iodine. I didn't ask what she uses for those allergic to iodine, but she did notify us what she would be using so I assume she has an alternative for those allergic to this prep. When were done I saw her clean everything with an appropriate cleaner to include the table. Also inside the shop, you can see all the appropriate certifications posted. That's a great comfort too! The only thing I can say is maybe it's time to expand because there were at least two other walk ins while we were there and to schedule a weekend would have took us two weeks out. Brilliance Piercing is awesome, I'd definitely go back! I went to BP to get my second lobe piercings (first ones occured with I was 3 years old) so I didn't really know what to expect. Jen and her staff made me feel super comfortable from the beginning. The studio is so pretty and they have a ton of options for earrings, including some really stylish gold ones. I chose an opal rose gold stud and was brought to the back room for piercing. Jen made me feel super comfortable and had me lie down to get pierced. The studio was very clean and sterile. I could see her sterilizing all the equipment. Overall, the process was quick and easy. The pain really wasn't bad at all. I left with two beautiful piercings that were well placed. I'm about 3 months out since my piercing and I had no infections or issues. The flat back earrings really help make sleeping comfortable too. I wish I could give this place + Jen 6/5 stars! I only had single lobe piercings after a traumatic second lobe piercing incident a few years ago at a different shop. As soon as I walked through to door I knew my experience would be completely different. The receptionist was very sweet and helped me pick out my jewelry - Brilliance has a huge variety of implant grade embellishments. This was important to me because of my metal allergy. Once I picked out the ring I wanted, Jen inspected my ear to be sure I had the correct anatomy for the piercing I desired. During the entire piercing process Jen was very kind and professional. She answered every one of my questions and talked me through each part of the procedure. She takes hygiene very seriously, demonstrated by the clean piercing room, changing of gloves, swabbing the outside of packets with alcohol before opening them, etc. for those who don't have an iodine allergy, she will disinfect the local area with that as well. She will have you complete breathing techniques while piercing, which made the actual event not hurt at all. Afterwards, she walked me through care instructions and at no point did I feel like she was trying to rush me out the door. My piercer was super calm and sweet, and they helped me through the process as I was noticeably nervous. They also only carry internally threaded, surgical titanium or gold jewelry. I'm not as informed about gold, but I know the former two are both preferable for healing. My piercer also informed me about possible complications with my piercing and clearly had my best interests in mind, they weren't just going about things without much thought. They also were quite "picky" (in their words) about placement, which I appreciated because they wanted to make sure it'd look good and that I'd like it. Their forms also have sections for preferred name and pronouns, which I appreciate as a queer person. 10/10 recommend for anyone new to piercings who's nervous, queer people, and anyone looking to get a piercing in general! :) read more

Best piercing place in the area -hands down- and I have gone to several others. I've visited Brilliance Piercing a number of times to get pierced or just to purchase jewelry. It's a beautiful, clean shop with a friendly, airy atmosphere. It also has a gorgeous selection of jewelry, and both Jen and Elizabeth are just awesome people to talk to. A few days ago I came in planning to re-pierce my navel (it had been pierced too deep within the skin at another piercer's). With Jen's suggestion, I decided to wait two more weeks to re-pierce it so I could give it the best chance at healing. Jen's incredibly knowledgeable and wants you to get the best piercing possible. If you're not sure about what part of the ear you want to pierce next, Jen and Elizabeth also have great ideas about how they can add to the piercings you already have. I was unhappy with my second lobe piercings being uneven (unfortunately, a piercing from another place), and they switched it up by suggesting that one uneven side become a double vertical piercing. I booked an appointment for daith and double helix piercings. When I went in, Jen let me know that I don't have the right ear shape for a daith. A few months ago I got a bug up my butt to get a few additional ear piercings. As it has been probably 20 years since my first ear piercing, I took to the interwebs to find a reputable place. I found Brilliance Piercing right away and booked an appointment for myself and a friend. Although it's tucked away in the back corner of a shopping center, it is super easy to find. The studio itself is bright and clean with a great selection of jewelry. Jen is amazing and answers all your questions with poise and obvious knowledge. Our piercings were quick and painless (but let's be serious, it was additional lobes, so a relatively easy area) and she gave us clear after care instructions. This weekend, my typical accident-prone self ripped out one of my new piercings (with the back of the earring still attached). I panicked and emailed Jen and was shocked to get a response back within an hour after hours. She told me to make an appointment and come in and she would assess the damage I had done. Yesterday I popped in and she was able to fix it quickly and gave me super great instructions how to keep it healing nicely. There is a little bait and switch going on here. They only allow you to use their own jewelry for piercing which is overpriced and of low quality. If you are ok with that - you will be fine. Otherwise they treat you like a third class citizen. On their website the price for ear piercing is $50, but after you have been forced to buy their jewelry (the cheapest kind is $60) the total comes up to $110. Absolutely the BEST! Just had my ears repierced a week and a half ago. I was so glad when I was able to snag an appointment with Jenn. Read their site about booking an appointment and get ready to book as soon as the slots open up. Took me a bit to get one but the wait was SO worth it! Easy to get to location with plenty of open parking. It is a beautiful store with so many jewelry options. This store goes above and beyond to be medically safe and it is for your protection that they set up as many safety precautions as they do and I am very glad for it. My reason for repiercing was aging earlobes- my earrings were practically hanging off my ears! Jenn was very careful to expain everything throughout the process and the piercing was so fast for each ear. They are in the perfect spot and I could not be happier. My ears hardly swelled and swelling went down super fast-maybe a day or two at most. My ears never turned red, never hurt. Directions for aftercare were fully explained and I was also given a cute bag with aftercare directions written out and a can of saline solution to spray on my ears for cleaning. I have had them pierced three times, and this time, without a doubt, was the best. My new "diamond" earrings are perfectly centered on my ears and I actually feel younger when I look at them in the mirror because they are now sitting where they should be!!!! This review is long overdue. Since my first piercing experience at Brilliance Piercing, I have returned again and again. Jen is so kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging- hands down I would have stopped at piercing #1 but now I'm well on my way to a curated ear. I have gotten my helix, conch, and Daith pierced. But Jen also redid my navel and earlobes. My navel piercing, which I got when I was 22, never healed even when I allowed it to close. It developed a keloid and all kind of issues. Jen advised that I should get a "floating navel" piercing given the way my belly button is. Not only is it healing with no problem, but my old scar is disappearing! I never would have expected such a great result. My last piercing was to have Jen re-pierce my earlobes which I got done at the age of 5 in a mall. I've always hated the placement (too high). Jen spent a good 30 minutes making sure the placement was perfect with what I was looking for. It looks so much better! Bottom line is that Brilliance Piercing is your last stop for your piercing aspirations. You will fall I love with the jewelry selection and the caring and professional staff.
