This place completely surprised me. Don't be fooled by the outside and location...this place is a hidden gem. So many people trust and go to this shop! It's accross the street from a great ice cream shop, so make it a 2 for 1!!! Nathan's dairy bar. I called about getting some help with my nose piercing I got a year ago. I wish I had known about the shop then because I actually ended up paying close to $200 to get my nose pierced and was convinced to get a very expensive stud. I called ahead and a friendly person answered and let me know to come on and do a walk in. The second you walk in someone checks you in and let you know where you can sit and wait until it's your turn. I was waiting amongst approximately 10 other people each either getting tattoos or piercings. Loyal clientele speaks VOLUMES! The place is spectacularly clean also and well lit. One of their piercing specialists called me in, his name is Ian! He was just fantastic and explained everything to me as he went along. He explained that the nose stud they used on me was mot meant to be used in nostrils and thicker than recommended. He made me feel validated in explaining that I just could not manage to take it out myself! He switched out the jewelry it so quickly and skillfully that I barely felt anything, he even installed my own ring that I had purchased from outside. Since I trusted him so much I had him check out another of my piercings and he was able to also change that out as it had become oxidized and was a health risk. Ian was fantastic, quick, knowledgeable, personable and even told me to come back if I never needed to change it again. He didn't charge for his services and just charged me for the one new ring. $25 dollar bill versus $200!!! The atmosphere is nice too versus rude and snobby. I had a great experience and will certainly come back for more tattoos or piercings here!! I Was told the tattoo minimum is $100 and from what I saw the work is very well done! I'm the area visiting while my wife is working the RV show and I decided I needed a new tattoo. Did a little research on Yelp and found their IG page and saw that they did the gumball machine tattoos! I went in yesterday and they had walk in availability! The whole vibe of this place is CHILL. Super clean, super dope merch and very friendly staff. The receptionist was super friendly and she stayed busy the whole time i waited for my artist. My artist was G! I came in with my daughter who has been asking to get her nose pierced since she was 14yo. I told her she had to wait until she was 16yo and the time had finally come and she had not forgotten. I found Exposed Temptations from multiple recommendations of other moms in the area so I felt comfortable coming here with my daughter. When we got there, I appreciated the parking lot, which is pretty big. Other businesses in the strip line up on the busy street on Liberia Ave. We walk inside and the lobby is open with a tall, long table and a couch to the right. There is a desk directly ahead where a dark haired girl is sitting waiting and greeted us. She was very nice and helped us along the way even explaining to me about the form had a front and back side - which I immediately forgot and didn't fill out the back! She gave it back to me to fill out, of course. My daughter and I were talking about the case of jewelry and I knew she was a bit nervous. After I filled out the back, I gave the form back to the dark haired girl. She started to tell me the total as well as asked me about the saline spray. I inquired about it when a blonde haired girl in a short sleeved shirt to her right piped up and gave the prices on the two sizes. When I asked more questions about it, the blonde haired girl let me know that the person who would pierce my daughter would go over it with us. Okay... I don't know where this blonde haired girl came from or who invited her into our conversation, but I don't recall speaking with her and we were doing just fine without her butting into our conversation. It's one thing if she had someone helpful to add, but she didn't. I feel like the dark haired girl could have answered my questions without the blonde haired girls "help." Anyway, Lauren, who pierced my daughter's nose called us back immediately! She was so professional and matter-of-fact. I asked if I could take a before photo and she obliged. I attempted to take another photo while she was about to pierce, but she informed me no videos were allowed so I waited. Once the piercing was over (which took maybe 15 seconds!), I took a picture of my daughter. It happened so quickly and Lauren was so great with her! We were in and out of there! I'd highly recommend Lauren for nose piercings (my daughter said it was like getting a shot). I did ask her how to use the saline spray and that was a quick, simple explanation. I would have given 5 stars, but I just didn't care for that interaction at the front with the blonde haired girl. She should not invite herself into conversations she was not part of and let the other girl do her job. The dark haired girl was doing just fine already. read more

I reached out ahead of time about getting my daughter's nose pierced for her 17th birthday. I received a text message that stated we needed to bring her birth certificate and that no one under 15 could receive the service. Her birthday came and we headed to the shop. We walked in, only to be told that because I had an infant in a baby carrier that we could not be seen. I told the girl at the desk that I wish they would've mentioned that in the text message as I would've made other arrangements. I asked her if there was anything she could do to help us since we had already driven there and it was her birthday. She was extremely rude and she went and asked the piercer if he would do it and he was even ruder than her staying a baby shouldn't be in the shop period. I understand if I were trying to get an hours long service like a tattoo etc. but it's a nose piercing that takes a few minutes. We called another shop in Gainesville who was more than happy to accommodate us. If you have rules and policies they should be stated up front and there's no need to be so rude about it. Brought my grandmother here to have some piercings done and a small tattoo! She was a little nervous, considering this was her first tattoo! Everyone here was friendly and seemed very considerate. The atmosphere was nice. Her artist, Andrew (@working_class_thug) did a perfect job on the tattoo. It was exactly what she wanted and the experience was great for her. We enjoyed our experience and I highly recommend coming here! REVISION: I have been to Exposed Temptations many times since originally published, all with Mr. Luke Kimbrell as my tattoo artist, and wanted to highlight his excellent work with some new pictures and edits. NOTE: Tattoo pictured is fresh, after first cleaning. It is not perfect because skin needs to heal and it needs care. It is exactly what I wanted though. So, I was a walk-in, and was able to talk to an artist (Luke Kimbrell, an amazing guy) and get an estimate on cost and appointment time (he was in the middle of a beautiful addition to another person's tattoo). Paid 50 bucks as a deposit, made an appointment for a few hours later, and he came out to say "hey, listen, I need to finish this tattoo" and to risk a commission for the sake of his art was incredible to me. I happily waited, he brought me back sooner than expected, kept great conversation and explained every step as it is my first tattoo. Even down to how he was centering on my arm based on bone placement. It was fantastic to learn and I trust him from the straight talk and great results. For 100 bucks I got to get a tattoo the same day, with consult, tracing, education, and obviously the ink itself. I felt at home - no pressure to even leave a tip but for all his services gave Luke 30 bucks because it took something that could be anxious and unnerving and made it simple. I've worked with doctors who don't have his bedside manner as it were. I should say the whole team is excellent. The office manager was helpful, honest, and pretty funny; artists were happy to share their portfolios and hung out in the lobby with their clients, even suggesting coworkers who may be a better fit. It was a great atmosphere. Highest recommendations for something that's gonna be a permanent, especially if you that first time explanation of the process. Pain was nothing special, more like a moving mosquito bite. Anyway, thank you Luke and the entire team! I have back many times, and pictures reflect it :) read more

Lauren did my septum piercing which went well until the car ride back the ball fell out. I needed to have it flipped inside my nose so the fact it fell out was concerning as I am not supposed to be flipping it down during the healing process. They tightened a new one and I went on my way. Not even before stepping into my house it falls out again. So I give the studio a call and Lauren tells me to yet again come back to tighten a new one. If the first two wouldn't stay, I'm very doubtful the third time would work. I asked if there was some kind of smaller jewelry that would better fit my nose and not rub the ball, but no. It's a huge waste of time for a customer to have to come back time and time again to tighten what shouldn't have fallen out in the first place. (I live an hour away) Each time it fell out my piercer Lauren didn't seem to care/seemed so annoyed with me even though I was very understanding. They wouldn't offer me a refund for their mistake either.. This shouldn't have happened in the first place let alone TWICE. $60 wasted, had to just take out the entire piercing lmao. read more

As a heavily tattooed person, I feel I can give an honest review. This is one of the most professional tattoo shops I've ever been to. The front counter staff are super friendly & the artists are very professional as well. I've had 4 appointments with this place and I've never had to wait for my artist, Glue, to set up. He is always prepared and ready to get started on time, which is a rare for most shops. The prices are a little high but with tattoos, you get what you pay for. The only other down side is that the artists stay booked for several months out but that just shows how great of a shop it is. It's worth the wait to get booked and tattooed here. I will continue to be a repeat customer as I'm already on the books to get more work done in a couple weeks. read more

Unique stuff nothing basic was pulled! The staff were very friendly and very interested in our pulls and they were able to accommodate all of us.
