I normally get skin hives from environmental stressors but my tattoo was only slightly red immediately after and not hiving at all in the recovery. It is healing really well, too. The business itself is also very welcoming and bright. I cannot recommend this business and Maddy enough!

It was done in watercolor, and it was just gorgeous. I had a very personal tattoo that I had wanted done for quite a while as a part of a healing journey I was coming through so I booked an appointment with Mike Miller at the shop. The shop was very comfortable as far as the atmosphere and the staff was awesome. Mike did my tattoo which was a spine tattoo and it turned out so beautiful I couldn't be happier! Additionally, conversation and the overall experience during the time I was there was comfortable, easy and very welcoming. Since my first tattoo there, I have returned three additional times to have tattoos done that I had set aside until I found a tattoo artist that I really liked; Mike Miller is that artist. Because of the tattoos I have received from Mike Miller at Devine Line Tattoos and the many compliments on the work he's done, one of my other daughters has now scheduled an appointment to see Mike and complete some artwork she has wanted done for a while as well. I guess I would have to say that Devine Line Tattoos and Mike Miller have become our family tattoo artist; that's a fun thing to share in a family of girls. Thank you, Mike, and to your staff for being such a comfortable welcoming shop. I'm saving up for the next big project!

Lora is truly the best -- highly recommend. I used to have very low piercings and they looked terrible. I tried getting stacked piercings at Rowan, but the nurse (piercer) didn't really know what they were doing. My ears were poked multiple times, nothing was lined up, and it just looked off. Even though I paid a lot, I ended up taking them out. Then I went to Lora -- she immediately understood what I wanted, walked me through everything, and gave thoughtful recommendations. The result looks SO much better. I honestly wish I had found her earlier. Do not go to places that use piercing guns or devices -- they don't follow your markings properly. Go to Lora.

It's how I understand the change that we each encounter and sometimes have to endure. Yet, we have to keep going. Navigating. Persevering at each turn and dead end. Icarus was told not to fly too close to the sun. He did anyway. Yes. He burned and fell into the ocean. But, that doesn't have to be the lesson. Maybe going for it, is the lesson. Out of that fire, something else can be born. Someone new can rise from those ashes. . . I have admired Christian's (@kurtistattoo ) work since I first saw an Instagram post, many years ago. Then I saw his work on a few people, and up close, it was more incredible than in any of the pictures. I was on a wait list before the pandemic in 2020, but ... so, in March of 2022, when his books opened again, I secured my consultation and my first session for November of 2022. 9 sessions later, and about 25 hours of work, this is a masterpiece; One I can't believe I get to have on my body. I gave Christian the overall concept, and he brought it to life. It was easy and awesome to trust his artistry, completely. Many years waiting for the right time and for availability. So WORTH THE WAIT! I love it!!! I couldn't be happier! I'm also grateful for the funny and friendly crew at @stonethecrowtattoo! Every artist there, has a unique gift! We are lucky to have this collective in the DMV area. Thanks Christian. You're the best! And, I'm sure I'll be back!

I recommend both of them in the highest regard and I think you should look no further when booking your next tattoo or piercing. Also, they both really love the organic fruit leather snacks from Whole Foods, I usually bring it during my visits to share with them because of how much they both love it.
