I came to Lucky Cat to follow Jacob (the latest addition to the shop!) as I have gone to him for ink and jewelry before. Not only did Jacob do a FANTASTIC job, but the rest of the staff are just as amazing in their own unique ways! Becky and Kendall have great out going fun personalities and welcome you right in. Jacob worked on my leg piece that he started a few months ago, adding highly saturated color and lots of depth and details. One of the many reasons why I love having him as my artist is his attention to detail and knowledge of his craft. I went to Kendall for a combination of services. She pierced my flat and it was one of the swiftest piercings I've gotten done. I had about eight lobe piercings that needed to be put back in after a procedure and she did them swiftly and with a few design changes that looked wonderful. Kendall is the best! My daughter and I both got piercings done. She made us both very comfortable. I got a little lightheaded and she ran and got me something cold to drink. Over a long holiday weekend I realized my piercing was embedded and was honestly a little panicked about it. I went in the minute they opened and she brought me right back and fixed it and placed a longer post until it healed a bit. I was able to book an appt on booksy to get it shortened back up after healing. It was just all in all a great experience and I highly recommend her! this place is a joke. I wasn't going to write a review but after getting more piercings at other shops I have to. I came here a while back and got a Medusa piercing. I have naturally larger lips but the piercer did not account for that. my jewelry popped out twice causing me to get it tapered by another shop because I lived 1hr30 away. after calling for a jewelry only refund as I had to buy more from a different shop the manager had the worst attitude and blamed me. I never touched the jewelry and talking is not an excuse for it to pop out. my lips swelled of course but the jewelry was sinking into my skin! not normal! the manager said it's up to the piercer to do refunds. the piercer said they would give me a refund but ghosted me completely. I am from tx, and I have been to plenty of artists and piercers, I myself have many piercings and a few tattoos, so I have had my fair share of shitty places and artists. i found All American tattoos just bc I was really wanting to do an impulsive piercing again and the prices they have listed are pretty good, so I figured why not. My piercer was Kendal who was such sweetheart! not only did she make my piercing (I got a regular nose piercing, keep in mind I have had my nose pierced including my septum, at least 6 times which have all been terrible experiences) so so painless, she keeps you distracted from being so anxious or nervous and talks to you and keeps you relaxed the whole time. I also have a surface tragus piercing which is a rare piercing since it has such a high rejection rate and many complications, it's been hard for me to find ANY jewelry or anyone to even help me remove or change the jewelry, but when I mentioned it to her, she was so helpful, changed the piercing AND gave me such cute jewelry that fits my face much better. I recommend this shop 11/10!! Now, my partner and I also got a tattoo from there, work done by Beckey, and let's just say I will be going to her from now on, I am actually doing an entire arm piece all done by her. she is so amazing! Today I took my 13 year old daughter to get her cartilage pierced at Lucky Cat. It was a last minute appointment and we were able to get in and out. Kendall Rose was extremely welcoming, super friendly and helpful the entire time. Was excited to try and get my first tattoo, I looked up in my area for tattoo shops and this one was the closest to me so I thought why not give it a try. I check their hours and reviews before coming here and it seemed ok, I didn't mind most of the bad reviews since I'm looking to get a small tattoo. Anyways, I show up at around 5pm (their hours are 12-9pm) and the OPEN sign is on but the doors were locked. I was confused since there wasn't any other sign on the door stating they would be closed otherwise so I just went back to my car and decided to call them. The guy picks up & I asked if they were open and he says "yea we're open, how else would I have answered the phone". Trust me I get it, it's common sense a place would be open if they just answered my phone call but like I said earlier, their OPEN sign is on and their doors were locked soooo I wasn't sure where the guy got the attitude from. I brushed it off and just said that I wanted to see how much it would be for my tattoo and/or set up an appointment and he just said to come back tomorrow because he's all booked already. Took advantage of the super cheap 30 dollar any piercing. I got exactly what I payed for. Cheap shitty work. I had my left side lip already pierced and decided to get snake bites. I asked for 1 symmetrical piecing on the other side of my lip. The marking looked okay but whoever did my piercing missed by a long shot. It was a whole cm too low on the outside. On the inside it looked like he put the needle in at a weird angle so it was even lower into my lip. As soon as I looked in a mirror I told him it was off but he said it was due to swelling. I kept it in till swelling went down and as I figured... It was just very very off. I do not recommend this place at all. If you're looking for something super cheap then this is the place for you, just don't expect any quality at all. If you want a better job, go somewhere else, pay a little more. read more

the worst service i've seen in a tattoo shop. went in to inquire about a tattoo, a lady with an english accent pulled up with an attitude. I was trying to be as nice and as polite as possible, I had gotten a tattoo here prior and had no problem. but this purple haired devil spawn started throwing tantrums once I asked about the other tattoo artist, and demanded me out the shop. I was driving down 28 North and saw a sign for a new tattoo parlor that said "$30 any piercing." So I decided to have my nose pierced and immediately turned around. I walked in and the staff was friendly and upfront that it's going to hurt. I was thankful, I knew what I was getting into. The piercing was quick and I was on my way with my instruction sheet. I originally went in to get my daith pierced and a male piercer was going to do it. I paid ($30) and signed the forms and stuff. The piercing guy came out and was pretty friendly, asked what I wanted, then went to the back room then, he tells the front desk guy "daith piercings are $40" and I (like a chump) dished the extra $10. I went to the back room he pulls out the stuff and draws the entry point dot. I look at it in the mirror and its not where the daith is supposed to go lol. It was on my rook. Jen comes in and is super friendly and greets me and also notices that the dot is in the wrong place. I tell her about the daith I wanted but she informed me that I didn't have enough space for it (which I really appreciate because doing the piercing anyways wouldve resulted in complications later). She suggested I go with a snug, but we comprised at an occipital conch (which I love now) She was super sweet through the process, very considerate, everything was clean, and she totally knew what she was doing. I read the reviews and thought this place would be great. But after my experience, it's not. I recently got a piercing and I love it but unfortunately it's not healing properly. I knew it would be swollen for a day or so. It's still swollen and extremely painful when I clean it. I didn't feel like at was at clean and safe. I noticed a few things that didn't seem right. If you're looking to get a piercing don't come here. Do research before you somewhere. There's a lot more other places that will take better care and give better after care instructions. read more

BE CAREFUL I always hate to have to change good reviews. I've gotten a lot of piercings here. And they all did great. Until I just got my medusa done. It has swelled up so bad that the disc in the back is completely sunken in and seems to want to become engulfed by my skin. I went in, explained my problem and asked for a longer bar to which I was told that they don't have longer bars. What?? I've never heard of a piercer not having a longer bar to aid when someone has swelled more than average. Now I have to take it out. I spent money on this. And to top it off, it was for my birthday. This place was....amazing. I looked this place up & read up on the reviews, and I finally decided to stop by. As soon as I got out of the car, a man was already standing by the door ready to greet me. He was friendly & gave me all the details I needed to know. I was just going in to get my second piercing on my ear & he told me that it would be $40 ($30 for one) & helped me pick out a pair of earrings. He also reassured me that it would be painless (I was just walking in for info & waiting till later on to do it) & convinced me to do it right there & then. Oh & his name was TIM. Seriously, best guy there. He was talking to me throughout the procedure & I have no pain tolerance what so ever unfortunately for me. But he kept me calm and talked to me about piercings and tattoos. He pulled out the equipment he needed (which was all sterile, did not use the same needle) & before I knew it, it was done. He was so nice about not wanting to cause me any pain and afterwards he showed me a few tattoos he did. He was amazing & I don't think I can stress that enough. I called to make an appointment to get a tattoo with the artist and when I came in I was ignored despite standing at the front and when I finally was acknowledged I was told that despite the fact I came in at the time scheduled that another client that was more important had come in and to come back later in the evening (my appointment was in the morning). Beyond Rude! I went in to speak to an artist (I believe his name is Andrew) regarding a current tattoo that I had started in New York and was immediately interrupted by a loud and obnoxious women. Her interruptions continued throughout the entire 10mins I was there, no matter what her location was in the shop. I wasn't even able to express my wants, ideas or tattoo history properly because of her constant need to shout into the current conversation I was attempting to hold with the man. Following my "consult", the man was honest enough to tell me he was not the right artist for the type of work I was looking to have done, and that is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. To be honest, even if that wasn't the case I don't know that I'd even be able to have a tattoo done in such a rude and frustrated environment. A nice family walked in while I was finishing up my attempted conversation. The mother kindly addressed me "Excuse me, I noticed you have your tragus pierced, my Daughter is here to have hers done- did it hurt?" And before I was even able to respond & address the women back in the polite manner she deserved, the RUDE women proceeded to yell "Well I didn't do hers!" Got my tragus done here by Jenn and I couldn't be more disappointed. Thought I could get a good deal from a $30 piercing and it went horribly wrong! First off she made us wait 20 minutes so she could go vent over a fight she had with a previous customer. Then, she didn't even use clamps or mark where the piercing would she just kinda eyeballed it. Then she pierces from the inside out with a 14g needle which is supposed to be 16g. Two days later I'm developing an infection even though I clean it everyday. It's been six days and my whole tragus is enflamed. It's covered in crust and pus and hurts like a bitch. I have two other tattoos and while both were good work, I did not personally like my artists. I got my third tattoo here and I will definitely be back. When I came in and told Jenn what I wanted she was very frank. She told me it would be much larger and more complicated than I thought and worked with me to redesign something that worked for me. I really appreciated her honesty and how it met with something I wanted. When she told me she wanted to shade the art, I explained how I personally dislike shading on tattoos, and she accepted my preference cheerfully. I got my work on my heel and it hurt like a bitch. She didn't mock me when I flinched or even whined. She kept up a steady stream of conversation to keep me distracted. Overall she is a very warm, upfront person and the work looks awesome. It's my favorite work so far. The shop itself was very clean inside. I would recommend making an appointment though. I was lucky as a walk-in. Walan, if you're reading this, I think the shop is dope, but you know why I'm giving it a bad review. Long story short, my artist was fired after he drew up my design and was ready to do my tattoo on a scheduled appointment. I called in twice to see if the appointment was still scheduled because my artist is gone, Walan said sure he'll take care of my tattoo. So the after 2 days prior to the call (after scheduled for about a week), I drove up to the shop and they gave me a blank stare. They didn't have my design because the previous artist took it, but funny thing was I wasn't notified at all nor did they redrew a piece that probably took less than 30 minutes. He told me I'd have to come back another day, and I was like cool, sure. Then he told me even if he had it, he wasn't going to be able to work on it because he was too tired. Fyi this was early noon, so all they wanted to do was chill and kick back that day i guess.. Also they do not have real portfolios of their previous work unless you look online, and even so, it's only 3-5 photos, I was lucky that I didn't let them tattoo because it might of turned out to be something I didn't want. after that I never came back to the shop, however they do offer cheap piercings if you're interested for $30. read more
