Just a simple chain and pad-lock keeping gate closed. Code hasn't changed since I started storing there almost a year ago. All in all, this is just what I'm looking for in a storage yard.

My U-haul was towed by U-haul when it was under contract, paid in full and parked legally in a private parking lot. A random employee of a neighboring business called and said "The Uhaul seemed sketchy, abandoned and was blocking their entrance" None of this was accurate and the u-haul was towed w/o contacting me or the land ownership. The shopping center was aware that I was using the truck for equipment/signage storage while we were doing some light remodeling. The truck was NOT PACKED for travel and several items were broken and smashed when it got towed. I let the local office know I needed to file a damage claim and am super upset that I spent almost an entire day dealing with this situation and even was charged for the lost day. Some random person should never have the power to call uhaul and have a truck towed w/o contacting the customer first!! Craziest deal ever. Will never recommend or use uhaul again... Now for the good-The employee at storage perfect did his best to talk me off the ledge when i realized uhaul towed my truck and damaged my equipment The GM of the 75th & York location (where the uhaul was towed) was awesome and really helpful in trying to do what he could about the mistake made. The tow company uhaul called also pulled the valve stem so the truck had a totally flat tire as well

The business was not prepared to deal with the amount of customers that were present at the same time. When I showed up one hour before closing, all the parking spots were taken. So I pulled as close as I could to the east side of their small parking lot. I went in, I sat down and waited my turn. As Soon as the receptionist finished with her client, the male client left, and she started with her next client, female. Then he(the client whom just check out) returned, asking who drove the vehicle that I was in. I told him that as soon as I could that I would definitely move it for him, because there was no parking Spaces available. He started yelling at me, then someone else (female client) started yelling at me, then the people behind the counter stared yelling at me. Just to be clear I was the only person that was light skinned and blue eyed the entire building. I had to endure such a racial slurs says "white bitch"& "Privileged white bitch". I was told by the Male worker I was being Berate, for standing up for myself. I offered to move, which was denied. I offered to back completely out of the area, which was denied. Eventually the Male client who was screaming at me in the parking lot left. Before he left, he screamed at me. Calling me 'white' and other things. At this time I'm just stunned. I parked and went inside to ask the manager what the next step was. He told me that they refuse to do business with me. A female, being yelled at by a man and woman in the parking lot. I would like all the none Prejudice individuals of our community to understand that this is not a place That I would do business with. I pull up to my unit and there's a big red lock on it not put there by the system. I won't get into the problems it caused me not being able to access my things that night. Went in the next day and saw him and he was very non chalant and told me he couldn't refund me. So shame on me for risking my own money and energy trying to be helpful but it's clear this place has gone corporate. My rent also went up a ton since last month. And the new management are lurkers. Almost a stalker feel. Walking by the unit multiple times to look in and be nosey while your accessing it. Shame Barbara and the welcome, safe and trust dynamic that came with renting here and the previous owners is gone also. Time to move on. 20 bucks is 20 bucks. Normally this could be easily done in person, but Denver is currently under shelter-at-home orders. But that doesn't stop Fil, the manager here, from delivering top notch customer service. He explained the steps over the phone, sent me clear email instructions with all the details I needed to access the unit, and made it easy for me to finish the process in time to get everything moved early the next day. I'm very impressed by his level of support and ensuring I had everything I needed, he was just so incredibly helpful and I'm really glad we have our storage here!
