My clutch was going out and a bunch of techs at my work recommended this place. It is near my house, so I thought why not. I called and tried to schedule an appt in a day last week in the middle of the week and had to leave a message. I ended up leaving 4 messages on Tuesday and two on Wednesday for a return call back to get it schedule in so I knew what I needed done. I figured my clutch needed replaced in my Mazda 3, but I wasn't 100% sure and wanted it in before it broke down on the side of the road. It has been over a week and still no call back from anyone there in the service department after over 6 messages. That still does not include the other times I called, got voice mail and did not leave a message. My husband even did a chat online with them and they still never gave me a call.I guess they didn't need my business. I took it to Mazda in Longmont instead and had phenomenal service. Won't recommend Brighton Ford to anyone or be buying a vehicle from them. read more

I took my vehicle into Brighton Ford for a diagnostic and repair. Several days after dropping it off, I received a series of calls from the service adviser asking for more information, and providing an "estimate" of repair cost. I asked to carry the conversation to email, as I work in an area with bad cell service. The service adviser repeatedly referred to parts incorrectly, did not provide me with ANY other information regarding the diagnostic, other than "timing codes", did not itemize the estimate, and got confrontational when any part of the process (diagnostic and estimate) was questioned. Up until I had further questions about the diagnostic and estimate, our conversations were normal. After that, the adviser wrote his emails in ALL CAPS, and he repeatedly suggested I just come pick up the truck if I was not happy with the diagnostic (which again, I had no real information on other than "timing codes"). Upon visiting the service department to pickup my truck, the adviser again got very confrontational, saying he was NOT rude (to the point of almost getting in my face), accused me of calling him names, and was heard talking loudly about us to another person in a back room. The "give me money and shutup" attitude that is tolerated by management of this adviser is unacceptable. They will not see another dime from my family. I emailed a very detailed complaint to both the service manager Kevin Wagner (the email address on his card), and the management email listed on the website for Monica Kidd and Stacy Mead over a week ago. I did state in my email that I was not asking for anything from them, but I did not even receive a canned response from either one. read more

Please Read My experience with Brighton Ford in Brighton Colorado has been a negative one. I took my Expedition in because it felt like the truck was down shifting aggressively. In addition to the hard down shift the truck suffered from a rough idling problem. I paid $664 for their recommendation of a transmission re-program and new spark plugs. I still am experiencing the original symptoms plus an additional symptom that was introduced after my visit to Brighton Ford. The new symptom is that the entire Expedition now vibrates. Brighton Ford had the vehicle for two weeks which caused transportation difficulties. $664 was paid for a transmission re-programmed and the spark plugs change. The Expedition is still suffering from the original symptoms. Brighton Ford has now stated that the issue may lie in the torque converter or that the vibrations may be coming from somewhere in the engine. They provided me a quote of $1925 to fix the torque converter. I asked that the original $664 be taken into consideration. They would not despite the torque converter possibly being directly related to the hard down shift. Their comment about the spark plugs was that "it was probably time for them anyways". I wasn't there for new spark plugs. I was there to fix the rough idling problem which still exists after the spark plugs were installed. Brighton Ford offered $100 dollars towards the $1925. As you can imagine this was unacceptable. In addition, they could not guarantee that the torque converter would fix the problem. I had no other option but to pull my Expedition out of the Brighton Ford service shop. I do not have the money that is needed for Brighton Ford to attempt a series of troubleshooting solutions. I could not invest what would now be a total of $2589 and still possibly not have a solution to (a) my original symptoms and (b) the Brighton Ford introduced vibration symptom. Allowing Brighton Ford to continue working on my Expedition was too high a gamble. If the torque converter is not be the issue, the next troubleshooting would be working on the engine. Brighton Ford is not willing to take previous monies spent into consideration but is willing to continue working on my vehicle. I am shocked that a service shop is able to function in this manner. The service doesn't seem honest and feels somewhat predatory. I feel taken advantage of. Brighton Ford has cost me time, money and stress. And I'm essentially at square one but worse. Now my entire truck vibrates in addition to the original symptoms. I took the Expedition out of Brighton Ford's shop on Tuesday Sept 27th 2011 and did not allow them to keep working on it. Buy a car here if you want to get ripped off. I bought a supposed "certified pre-owned" 2009 Escape. After about a week of driving it, I noticed transmission fluid on my garage floor. After looking under the vehicle, it was obvious this had been leaking for a while so I called them and they said they would take care of it under their bogus limited warranty. so I drove all the way out there and then there "service manager" Chad told me it was "dry as a bone" down there and no leaks at all. This was an absolute lie. I told him to look at it again and then the sales manager, Dave also told me he looked at it and it was "dry as a bone". Another lie. Once I realized they were crooks, I just picked the car up and drove it home. I put it up on ramps and guess what......not dry as a bone and leaking all over my garage. These guys are liars and their "certified pre-owned" label is also a lie. Run from this dealership. They actually did address my leaking transmission issue and it seems to be OK now. I just wish they would have taken it seriously the first time when I took half of the day off to get the car there. If you have service issues, then just deal with Mike the service manager otherwise it seems hard to get anything done. He's a nice guy. I continued to have multiple problems with the vehicle and Dave Pogue, the sales manager helped me trade this vehicle for a better, more reliable one. They did not have to do this and was pleased that they decided to make things right. read more

Welp, they lose all interest once they make a sale and I am 95% certain their "detailers" scratched the hell out of a 2016 car I bought from them for $18000 while I was signing papers. Clear DEEP swirls from some kind of grit scratching the windshield (never seen anything like it) as well as DEEP scratches clear through he base coat in the front quarter panels. That is, the car was fine when I did my test drive before signing, but their high-schoolers "detailing the car" scratch up the windshield and the panels just in front of the front wheels (looks like they were trying to climb up in a rush to wipe it down--it was about quitting time for all those folks when I was signing and getting ready to take delivery). Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home. That isn't the worst of it. I discovered a number of issues in the next couple days only likely to be noticed by someone familiar with the car. I find a random piece of ventilation duct under the passenger seat that is either a spare or wasn't installed. A definite concern for me that they had to investigate and assure me is a spare that some idiot in their shop decided to just leave under the seat for the buyer to find. The spare key is defective and has zero effect in unlocking/starting/locking the car as well as sticking the car with "My Key" speed and volume limits, which I had to figure out from the manual (why the hell didn't they fix that on their own before selling the car and giving me a bum key?). The right fog light won't come on and the salesman tells me the tech pulled the entire bumper off to replace the bulb (the manual says you can pull the facade around the bulb and YT videos demonstrate you can go in from behind the bumper). Anyway, 4-5 hours later, they triumphantly hand me the replacement secondary key fob. I open up the replacement fob in front of the salesman and the tech and say hey, where's the hard key (the cut key that fits the door is supposed to be stored inside the fob)? The tech blinks and looks at the empty key fob and says oh yeah, let me go run and grab that for you. So clearly I have to think of everything for these retards. Then, they tell me some kind of $1000 module needs to be replaced for that fog light to come on (thank goodness for factory warranty, but I'm baffled that the left one works fine!). Further, I overheard a full conversation between a woman and a sales manager while I was burning half a day there; she clearly stated that she had spoken with the staff and had been told that she could pick up her belongings from her trade-in, which they admitted was true. Her belongings *mysteriously* vanished by the time she arrived--including a new child car seat and an unused container of laundry detergent. The sales manager claimed that they "throw those things away." I don't know about you, but I'm picturing the same kid that's climbing up on my car to "detail" it and scratching the sh*t out of it with his shoes debating about what to do with a brand new container of laundry detergent or a brand new car seat. What do YOU think, folks? Finally, I call ahead of my appointment to get the $1000 module for one fog-light replaced (I'm still doubtful for some strange reason), and they tell me they want to keep the car for a full day to fix and won't provide a courtesy vehicle. The salesman tells me it's my choice to come to them and not a dealership closer to where I live, rather than where I purchased it (*spits*). My personal opinion? Stay far away from Brighton Ford. Don't shop there, don't take your vehicles there for service. If you MUST, photograph the entire car before signing papers or dropping yours off. Also check every single bulb, lever and switch as well as take the time to rummage under all the seats because they'll sell you half a car if they can get away with it. read more

My vehicle was fixed quickly. My issues were that we didn't know the evening before that you could drop off the vehicle in a small section in front of the gates, so we had the vehicle towed to the parking lot right next door. I had to wait two hours for a two truck driver the next morning because it would be an $80 hook up fee for the dealership to move my vehicle over. It took almost two hours to talk to anyone in the service department before calling the tow truck driver. They were efficient in getting the vehicle fix and letting me know right away. Also, the cashier was very friendly when I had to call to pay for the repairs in case I wouldn't make it back into town in time and wanted someone else to pick it up. I called and left two messages asking if my car would be left accessible if I came after the service center/ cashier had closed and received no response back. I did go to the dealership when I got back into town and a nice man was able to find my paid receipt and have my car brought up. It would have been nice to have some response before and not show up at the dealership and hope my car would be available. The actual service itself seems to be good, the communication was horrible though. read more

While waiting on my oil change u read some reviews. I decided to write a review. It's a Friday just snowed and they are very honest on their wait time. I have purchased over 5 vehicles from Brighton Ford new to used. The dealership has been upgrading there facilities and can't wait for the next phase. Quick lube has been great now they are updating their service area. This local dealer is honest I have met the owner several time and he is getting the dealership "back in the future" and has invested a lot in the community and staff. Dave who is now a service manager of the quick lube used to be a salesman of the dealership they defiantly promote from within. Also, Chris in service has been a foundation for over the seven years we have dealt with Brighton Ford and prayers go out to him and his family!! God bless this dealership!! read more

7 months after purchasing a used car from Brighton Ford I decided I wanted something different. I offered my business back to them, this time for a BRAND NEW car, but they could not sell me a 2016 Ford Fusion Energi because they were not an EV (Electric Vehicle) dealer. So I had to purchase my new car from a different dealer. -no big deal- Until I went to cancel my extended service contract on the used car that I had bought from Brighton Ford. They refused to cancel or give any refund (even a pro-rated refund!) I WASTED $2,200 for that extended service contract and never used it once in 7 months. Warning to all, they will push the extended service contract on you hard and they will not cancel it if you sell or trade the car in. They could care less. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from here again and will tell all about this misfortune. read more

The car is fine but the buying process has been a nightmare! I have had a hard time with the professionalism and customer service. Upon buying my car my name was spelled wrong on multiple papers, my handwriting is very clear obviously the financial guy was rushed and seemed to not care. Upon running my banks information he came back and said they couldn't find me, I clearly asked him are you sure you processed the correct bank? His response was yes it's after hours and as long as my social security number was correct i would be fine. A few weeks go by and I call my bank they had not received any information from brighton ford. I thought that's weird, so I called the financial guy (who was very rude and kept cutting me off mid sentence) he assured me after I repeated my banks name that the paperwork was sent to the right place and that it just takes time to process. To my surprise I received loan information in the mail from Colorado credit union...my bank is credit union of colorado! Something I clarified multiple times. I could understand this confusion had I not clarified multiple times in person and over the phone! Now I have a loan with some random bank instead of the bank I have been with for almost 29 years! My bank would have given me a better percentage but now to transfer the loan it would be another hit on my credit! I have good credit so this is very upsetting! I was then told my car would be fixed for a tire sensor issue, it took almost a month to get this addressed after multiple phone calls. I will say that Aaron in the service department was the only silver lining of my interaction with brighton ford as he was very polite and considerate. I guess I expected much better and some attention to detail from my name to my bank... My spouse and two brothers wanted to buy new cars from brighton ford but have since changed their mind seeing the issues I have encountered. read more

The people that "work" in the service department are either crooks with no integrity or the most incompetent people ever in a service department. I had an emergency tow of my 2008 F-150 to Brighton Ford, my truck was completely dead. I called in an hour prior to having it towed in so I could get it seen, however when I arrived they acted as if I never spoke to anyone, when in fact the person I spoke with was the person who checked me in. I asked when they thought they might be able to look at it, they said they had no idea. I understand why they might say this but I was just asking for a general time frame so I could set up a rental car, this was annoying but not the bad part. After having my truck for almost a day and a half. They call me to say well we don't really know whats wrong, you have a weak motor and probably need a new rebuilt motor (finding out later that cost nearly $4500). I was told "we can keep looking around but that could end up being hundreds of dollars if not more just to find the problem" He said you are $150 in now you do need a new battery, because without it you wont be able to get it home as it is running but you cant start it again if it dies. So $300.00 later and a new battery I pick the truck up to have it die and "not start" less than a mile away. Last night I had a friend who is a certified Ford Mechanic for over 30 years come to look at the truck. It took him less than 5 minutes of just listening to the truck and plugging in his computer to figure out the problem. Which now will cost me less that $500 to fix. I guess I should have expected this from a dealership. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this dishonest group. Your vehicle may not get fixed and they will charge you for just thinking about your car. Shame on you Brighton Ford. read more

Everytime I take my 1999 Expedition there I feel like I am getting a scam job. They just want to find something wrong else wrong with the car and stick you with a big bill. The 4x4 light in the dash board has been blinking for over a year now, asked them to take a look at it. First they said the is was a sensor @ $400 but that did not fix the problem, now they want $700 more for a relay. $1,100 total for a blinking light that it took them 5 days to figure out. Personally I'm not a Ford guy. So when shopping for a used Chevy of course I check the Ford dealership cause I knew I'd get a deal on one as they're looking to get them off the lot quick. I purchased my truck in September and the salesman I spoke with was a younger man named Marc. Highly recommend this guy. Ask for Marc B. There are two Marc's there. He was very VERY helpful. Actually the day he sold me my truck I had been to another dealership and looked at the same exact model with more miles on it and he sold it to me for 60% the price of his competitors. The reason I didn't write a review until now is because I wasn't overly impressed with them just beating out their competitors. Yeah I got a steal on my truck. But that's their job. Recently on a road trip though my truck broke down. (I had bought a power train warrantee which usually I'd stay away from cause they seem like a scam. But again this salesman really stood out to me.) After I lost my tranny at 2 AM maybe it was a fluke but I had the salesman's cell number and couldn't get through the warrantee center. So I called him. At 2 AM. He answered and was the utmost of helpful. The warrantee paid for a tow and to have a brand new tranny put in. But again. All the credit goes to Marc B. of Brighton Ford. Honestly, one of the worst dealerships I have ever dealt with. I called to schedule an APPOINTMENT to look at a Ford Edge I had seen online. I showed up on time for my appointment and waited literally 20 minutes to see the car. Nobody knew anything about my appointment when I walked in and only one gentleman asked me if he could help. There were, however, SEVERAL employees standing around watching sports on the television in the dealership lobby. When I finally got to test drive the vehicle I was interested in, it pulled terribly to the right and the steering wheel shook significantly whenever accelerated beyond 45 mph. I asked if they could have their service department look at the vehicle to make sure this was nothing more than an alignment issue and was told, "I guess, but if someone else wants to buy it as is then I'm going to sell it to them." Great customer service, especially after I drove out from Denver to look at it. I'm sure there are a lot of car shoppers looking to spend over 25,000 on car with these type of problems, but I'm not one of them. TERRIBLE service and overall terrible experience. I bought a 2013 ford fx4 back in June with extended warranty. I started having major problems with the truck dying. I understand it's a vehicle and stuff happens. I replaced my fuel pump, fuel rails and injectors. Took it back to the mechanic since I was still having problems seems the intercooler is full of oil gunk. He scoped the engine and was full of this gunk. Needless to say I wanted to trade the paper weight in and to my surprise the vehicle was from Canada and they said since it was from Canada they use kilometers and once it came to the states they had to switch odometer panel which is a huge no no from a dealership stand point. I urge you to get a carfax and take it to another dealership to get another opinion. Or better yet just got with another dealership. O the extended warranty didn't cover anything so I got a refund and 3600 is what I paid the dealership keep 600 I got back 3000. Now I got a 35,000 paper weight they won't even buy back hahahahahhahaha read more

I have taken my Lincoln Aviator to Brighton Ford on 2 different occasions, the second and last was this week. On both occasions it was not a obvious fix. On the first issue I was told I needed to replace parts with original Ford parts which I had already replaced with Ford parts. I paid my 130.00 dianostic fee and left. The latest issue was a engine noise. I went back to them this time only because i thought they would have more experiance on Ford Products. Instead i was told we took the Serpentine Belt off and the noise was still there we recommend a new engine. I PAID MY 130.00 DOLLARS AND LEFT. I will never go there again. read more

I purchased a 2012 F250 from Brighton Ford on Memorial Day. Overall I am fairly satisfied with my experience, but not 100%. I had originally asked about whether the truck had a bed liner and my salesman said no, but then after we had the deal basically in place he sent me pics showing a wooden (yes I mean wooden) bed liner that had been screwed into the bed. I agreed to purchase it anyway due to the overall low mileage, but would have been 100% satisfied if they would have offered to remove it that way I didn't have to once I got home. Also, I was not happy after buying a $27,500 truck that they were only able to put $10 worth of fuel into it since it was a pre-owned vehicle. read more

Looking for a vehicle from Brighton Ford? Think again. I've lived in Brighton for several years and every once in a while a vehicle stands out at the dealership and I stop in to check it out. My recent experiences are as follows: had an eye on 1 used vehicle for several weeks sitting in the front row, stopped in and test drove it and it had a red check engine light on - the salesperson shrugged it off. I left to think about it and got a call a few hours later that the car was in the process of being sold. 2nd recent experience: test drove a used car that has been at the dealership for at least 7 weeks now. Loved the car/wanted the car. The car had a red tire pressure warning light on and for good reason; there was a big bulge in the run-flat. I asked the sales person to check and see if they would put all new run-flats on the car and if so I would make them an offer. I did some research and found the range of what other dealerships are selling the car for (not surprising, several thousand dollars less than Brighton Ford). Salesperson called me and told me the price of the run-flats, told him I didn't care about the price because I wanted them to replace all 4 (he actually said that I initially told him I would pay for the tires, uh, I think not) and told him my research and gave him an offer in the middle of the range. He laughed at me a said he'd check but that they had it listed for what they bought the car for (no dealership is run this way). He did call back and told me they wouldn't budge. Awful funny that today the car is listed for $1k less and it's still not worth what they are asking! This is a shoddy run, over-priced dealership. And to add insult to injury they are misrepresenting the car - on the current online ad it says the car has leather - the original window sticker is in the car and clearly says leatherette. C'mon - get your act together Brighton Ford. Customers are smarter than you think and we can see through your games. I gave you a fair offer and you laughed at me. Guess you don't care that you lost a customer and I will tell my story to anyone that will listen. read more

I had a pleasant car buying experience here, however, after less than 2 months of owning my 2015 Ford Escape, a high pitched and very annoying wind noise started from the passenger side of the windshield. After reading about others who have experienced this with Fords, I brought the car into the service department to be looked at. I was basically told that since they couldn't reproduce the sound (even though I brought in a video clip of the car making the sound), there was nothing they could do other than call the "Ford Hot Line". I've waited for over a month with no feedback. When I called back frustrated after listening to the sound for over 4 hours on a drive back from Illinois, David in the service department accused me of arguing with him and was very confrontational. I am the customer, I purchased a defective vehicle, and yet I am not allowed to voice my frustration without being accused of "arguing"? Very poor customer service in my opinion. I am taking my vehicle to another dealership to be looked at. Beware if you purchase a car here and need to bring it in for service. read more

I purchased a truck (2015 F-150 XLT) from Brighton Ford about a year ago. I was a previous customer of both the sales (multiple trucks) and service sides of this dealer. The previous time i was in the quick lane for an oil change, they tried to up sell me on an alignment and gave me some inaccurate tread depth readings to show "tire wear" to help sell me on the alignment. As I am a former Ford Tech, I called the service manager over to show me where the tread depth readings they gave me came from. He measured the tires in several spots and could not duplicate their own measurements. I paid for my oil change and declined the alignment. When I got home i noticed a burning oil smell. I looked under the truck and found that the skid plate was covered in oil. I checked the oil level and it was correct. I discovered that they did not clean up any of the drained oil that dripped on the skid plate. I contacted them and had to drive it back down to have it cleaned up. The next oil change I had done at another dealer much farther away with no incident. When my truck was due again, I thought that i would give them another try since they are local. I explained my previous experience to the lady that wrote me up and I watched her add a note to the work order that said to make sure the residual oil was cleaned off. I paid for my oil change and air filter service and again when I got home, my truck smelled like burning oil and oil was dripping on my garage floor and the skid plate was covered in oil. I contacted the service writer and told her about the issue and I sent photos to her. She said she would get back to me. It has been two weeks and nothing.
