We had a new part go bad and went to this shop for repair. They kept the customer and me informed and let us know what the vehicle needed to get back on the road without any unnecessary repairs. I would 100% anybody in the area take your vehicle here, they were honest, definitely fair and reliable! When I'm in the area I will most definitely stop in! Thank you guys so much for all your help for me and my customer! They took what could've been a very difficult part warranty situation and made it so much easier!

As a woman that doesn't have family nearby to help with car stuff I tend to get nervous taking my car in for repairs just from fears that I might get taken advantage of because of my lack of car knowledge. I didn't feel that way at all coming here and can say that as soon as I stepped through the door it felt like they were family friends and I've been coming here my whole life. Point being- I'm so grateful for all the guys at Brighton Radiator & Mufflers and can't thank them enough for diagnosing, explaining my car issues to me, and fixing my car in a timely manner so that I could get back on the road again. Kevin and all the guys here were incredibly communicative throughout the whole process and went out of their way to help me out. 10/10 can't recommend this shop enough! -Jessie

I do not recommend CB at all. Especially if you're a solo female…read more I only write this in hopes it helps someone else to make an informed decision. I have to suck up my losses and accept responsibility of trusting when I knew better. I let my guard down and trusted CB. Huge mistake on my part. For a few years I trusted they were doing me right. Around end of November 2025, I was told that the noise my vehicle was making was shocks, I asked numerous times that if they were sure shocks would fix the noise and that was all it needed-was told over and over- yes. Because something was really starting to feel off, is why I asked numerous times. After shocks were put on it still made some noise and some days worse. I was sent a 'how was your experience' by the owner, Dan West. I replied with my concerns. I never heard anything back from anyone. Crickets. I called CB and was met with some resistance from Scott but, he told me to bring it in. Supposedly a tag or something was left in and it was a 'humorous' moment and that was causing the noise. Which It was not. I was starting to feel iffy with CB and went elsewhere for an oil change to be shown a demolished plug and it was in way too tight. That mechanic finally managed to get it out (I watched through the window) Only CB had been doing my oil changes. So it left me asking a few questions about oil changes. And why wasn't I informed about the plug? I dreaded calling CB about the noise due to they meet you with resistance and an attitude- I had to finally call because it was so bad. And yes, I was met with resistance and authoritative attitude from Scott. They wouldn't do a refund because shocks were under warranty but I could get the shocks replaced again. Made no sense if that didn't resolve it before but, apparently my only option. I took my vehicle in and dealt with that condescending attitude and Shaun(?) and another guy lifted my vehicle and went right to the actual problem rather quickly, including the bearing(?) Which made me think, they knew all along. I asked about the shocks and I was told that because of the (hydraulic fluid?) was holding the control arms up just enough to eliminate some of the noise. And now it's low due to the pressure of the control arms(?) it's low again. I was authoritatively informed that I did need shocks and they would not be changing them out because they were still good. But, yet they just said the new ones were low on fluid now or pushed down(?)... And the noise was horrid again, so what is that saying about the shocks this time if before they supposedly didn't have this fluid in them? And I was told due to the control arms, it would have drained(?) the fluid and why the noise was so bad again. They contradicted themselves. And how could they not have known it wasn't shocks making that noise when they were replacing them if it were so obvious it was the control arms and a bearing? I've been looking back on some questionable moments I've had and now asking- if they feel they can get away with it and do bare minimal work on your vehicle (or none at all) and still charge you for it. And/or tell you that something needs done when it does not. I undoubtedly do believe they would, hands down. I was taken to the office by Shaun(?) and given a quote to fix the control arms and I believe a ball bearing. He made it sound that they were doing a customer service by discounting the shocks from the total. Which was less than what I paid. He reprinted a new quote with a slight disgust. I also noticed an "other fees" charge. I wondered if that charge was always there. I didn't bother asking for obvious reasons and I already knew I would not be coming back from all I experienced and observed. It was enough. I highly recommend staying away from them. They may appear to be super friendly and only there to help- it's super fake and they are deceptive. They are more than happy to take your money and good luck if anything goes wrong after. It's more of a lure for the love of the piggy bank for them.

From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease speaking with your service writer, Bruce P. It felt like chatting with a good friend--he genuinely listened to my concerns about the truck and welcomed my input without dismissing any of it. When I received the bill, it was a bit higher than I expected, but I understood that the work was necessary. As I've said before, you get what you pay for. Sure, I could've gone to "Bob's Auto Shop" for a lower price, but I wouldn't have received the same level of expertise or the warranty that Christian Brothers offers. What really impressed me was the turnaround time. I dropped off my truck on a Wednesday, hoping to take my family camping that weekend--a big ask, I know. But Bruce and the mechanic, Ken M., made it happen. They got the truck ready in time, and I couldn't be more grateful. Christian Brothers Rocks ! ! ! !

Got it back after a few short days and will be getting some further work done as time goes on. This truck had belonged to my former landlord whereupon his daughter sold it to me as the old boy had gone to a retirement facility. In his later years maintenance and repairs had been let go but being sturdy and strong running, I bought it and am slowly bringing it up to snuff and it is good in the event I should need to do any long distance traveling with it. . Attended the new shop opening, located just off I-25 and Colorado route 66, where I met Mr. Maggio's family and some of the other customers who call Hands On Autotech their home for vehicle repair and servicing. I first went there based on the recommendation of the Martino troubleshooter show on 630 KHOW AM radio; 10 AM - 2PM, M-F. My opinion is that Tom's shop takes something of a scientific approach to vehicle repair and will go more in depth with an analyses than another shop I had been to for an issue with my '99 Tahoe. As an EV owner himself I gather that Tom is up on the current tech, perhaps more than some other places who would have men of my age (68) from the "dinosaur era" of automotive tech working at their shops.

There was a problem with the communication surrounding the tow transfer so I started my experience with Hands on Auto Tech with some trepidation. Tom handled the situation and we moved onto the real problem with my truck. The diagnosis was the clutch so I approved the repair and waited a few days for the parts to arrive and the repair to proceed. After the clutch was replaced another problem with the operation of the clutch was discovered so I agreed to the additional repair and another day for repair. After a week I was reunited with my truck. The repair was costly, lengthy and unexpected but coming out the other side of this experience I learned a couple of lessons. 1. If you have your vehicle towed to a shop follow the tow truck to the shop and verify the transfer. 2. Communication and follow up throughout the repair are key Tom was great to deal with and I feel that he was honest with me about the repairs needed and the cost of those repairs. Having recently moved to the area I feel my vehicle maintenance and repair needs can be checked off the list. I can recommend Hands on Auto Tech to anyone needing an honest repair facility and Tom as a good guy to deal with.

The owner did not recognize her truck and therefore called the police to have it towed. Her doorbell camera recorded the tow so she was able to clearly see the name of the company logo on the tow truck. Within a time span of 2-3 hours she called the company and asked if they were the ones who towed her truck. They either replied with "I don't think so." or "No.". Personally, I find both answers unacceptable. Speculating the reason for that answer is not fair, however, the company's professionalism was seriously lacking regardless. When she explained that she could see her truck being towed on a camera she was then told that they did, in fact, tow her truck. She told them she was leaving now to pick it up. We arrived shortly afterwards to acquire her truck and were told the office was empty and we would have to wait. Albeit the wait was not long, she would have appreciated having the knowledge about the possibility of having to wait. When she paid $300.00 for the tow (2.4 miles from her home and less than 5 hours on tow company's property) the owner (who, by the way, called her after my original review was posted) graciously waived the $20.00 storage fee. When this man called, he asked her to tell me to remove the negative review as it would hurt his business. He also replied to me personally through YELP and called me a liar. I would be very wary if considering doing business with this company. Attaching owner's response:

The local shop quoted us 10,000 for the replacement, which we panicked about affording. We found Brighton Auto & Diesel Clinic and worked with them to get the vehicle towed down there. They confirmed the diagnostic and also another issue with the vehicle that had been undetected. They gave us a much cheaper estimate (over 6k less than the original shop.) After that and a small down payment, the engine was ordered. Thanks to diligence on the part of the front desk staff, we were able to order a used engine with less than 6000 miles on it to replace the one that had died at 84,000 miles. Although there were some slight weather delays, the shop was able to get the car up and running in a timely manner once everything was received and it's worked great since; we've had our car back just over a month now. Very glad that we used this shop and will definitely go back to them in the future, even though they are an hour out of the way from Loveland.
