My husband got a few quotes and based on the customer service he experienced, the price quoted, and also that it is a smaller family-based local company, we chose Sparks and Sommer. We had the insulation done in late summer/early fall. I was the one home when they came by and got a good education on the upgrade. A small team was brought which included the dad and son and a couple others. They were quick and thorough and took me through everything before and after completion. So the real test was when we lost power this winter from the ice storm. We were down for a few days, and the house never seemed to get that cold really. When power finally came back on, it clocked in at 51*, which seemed to be pretty good compared with some of my friends that lost power. Very happy with the results and the service.

Ray kindly asked if he could inspect our roof as he noted a recent storm caused a lot of damage in our area. We learned that Ray is a former insurance adjuster and was very familiar with the process. Ray found what he considered enough damage to our roof to convince our insurance adjuster to process a claim for a complete roof replacement on our home and our garage! Our second meeting with Ray was to educate us on the comparable products our insurance company will cover, in addition to some better options. For a little extra out of pocket, plus our insurance deductible, we are going to have a superior roof over our heads and for a great value.
