I remained in the car while she attempted to open an account, but was later asked to provide my driver's license when I entered the office. I explained to Richard that I did not want to be involved in the rental agreement, and he assured me that I would not be held responsible since the credit card on file belonged to the former student. However, several months later I received a bill for the storage unit. When I contacted Richard, he told me that I was responsible for the payments since I had provided my driver's license at the time of rental. Despite my objections, the unit was not closed until payment was made, and the items in the unit were sold at auction without my knowledge. Although the debt collection letter did not include the former student's name, Extra Storage considered me to be the rightful owner of the unit since it was opened using my driver's license. As a result, I am now responsible for paying the creditors for a storage unit that I did not rent. The creditors themselves acknowledged that Richard could have handled the situation differently, such as suggesting that the former student return to rent the unit using their own driver's license at a later date. Overall, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing.

INDOOR UNIT CLIMATE CONTROL - very important to me because I had stored furniture in the unit. LOCATION - Very easy to locate, lots of parking, nice neighborhood CLEANLINESS - Extremely clean and well maintained SECURITY & ACCESS AVAILABILITY- Cameras and a secure code operated elevator with 24 hr access to the elevators. Units on upper floors are only accessible if you have a security code for the elevator. SUPPLIES - Free Flatbed dolly carts to move your stuff and lots of packing supplies for purchase MANAGEMENT - Cesar Flores is very friendly and always there to help. He is knowledgeable and will work with you to ensure your satisfaction.
