If I could give these people and this place Bright and Clean Laundromat a minus 5 stars I would! These people are very unfriendly and rude from the first time I used their laundromat. I stopped going to them for a while because of this but then tried them again by mistake. Besides being unfriendly, they do not understand English well at all but insist that they do and then get mad at you for them not understanding it. If you do not understand or speak English well and you are running a business in America, how is that my fault?
Some rude foreign lady came in and wanted 3 washing machines right off the bat when I and one other rude lady were waiting for one each. The owner, Luis came in and didn't know we were waiting, he told the lady when she asked that she would have one in about 9 minutes. His employee who refused to give me her name when I called back later on (which she had someone translating for her because she did not understand English that well also) was trying to tell him in English, that others were waiting. He didn't seem to grasp what she was telling him.
I simply and politely informed the owner that 2 other people were waiting for one first. I was not rude, I did not yell, I did not have an attitude. I just let him know matter of factly so that he would not give her a machine before us because he didn't know that we were there first.
He became very rude, pointing out many different machines one by one like I am an idiot or something, saying to me that there were other machines also going to be available in 9 minutes, with an attitude. I did not know that because I only saw him point to the one machine that said 9 minutes when he told the lady that. He did not point to any other machines to bring it to anyone's attention and I was putting my laundry in another machine at the time anyway.
The owner very rudely snapped at me and told me I should look around before I say anything to him. I told him why would I do that, if anything, that was his job because he was the owner. It is not my job to check the time on all of the machines to see when they are going to be available. Common sense, if I see that a machine is empty then I will use one but that wasn't the point anyway and he knew it. I told him he misunderstood and he denied it. I said you are getting mad at me for no reason and that is going to make me get mad too.
Really it was all just an honest misunderstanding and he had no reason or right to be rude to me at all but instead of being rude to the pushy lady who wanted 3 machines right away like she was the only person in the place, he was rude to me instead. That's crazy!
I tried to talk to Luis again. He still did not understand and gave me an attitude, telling me that I should not have complained to him about anything and that I was the one making the problem.
He kept asking me what I was complaining about, he kept going on about it, so arrogant until he finally apologized for something with a smirk on his face so I said yeah you should be sorry. I told him that I would do my laundry there this time but that I would not come back again anymore after that if that is the way he is going to treat me, a regular customer. He did not seem to care. He just smiled.
I didn't start my machine yet and I really should have left at that point and not even given them my money or my business especially when there are 6 other laundromats around the block from them.
Then the other lady with the 3 machines when I asked her to try to explain to the owner what was going on, she said she did not want to get involved after she was the one who was so selfish and caused the whole problem in the first place that I got blamed for. She said she worked all day and she was tired, like she was the only one who was tired and worked all day I told her we all worked all day and are tired, what does that have to do with anything?
Then the lady kept talking to me, telling, when machines were empty, if I wanted them, which one, how many and rushing me to go over and use it like if I didn't then she would. She was annoying and obnoxious!
This is not the first time that I had a problem in this place. I one once before with another customer. Very low class people go there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away! Very poor customer service. The wife has an attitude too most of the time and also and the female employee who refused to give me her name although, she was nice enough to hold the door for me tonight on my way out which, I was thankful for.
They also let dogs in the store. I pay a lot of money to clean my clothes not to have dog hair flying around or as a tripping hazard. And what about people who have allergies to them, etc.?
Do yourself a favor go to one of the many other laundromats around the area. No one needs them if they are going to treat people the way that they do and not provide good customer service or care if they lose a customer! read more
