Already my stuff was taken out by someone and put in the back while I took out my second load looking for my laundry no one helped me even though they moved my laundry!!! On top of all of that, this place is horribly overpriced and not very clean. Any other possible option, go to it! I left seeing the clothes start to circulate in the wash & came back 30 minutes later to find my clothes still dirty and smelling of bleach. One t-shirt was even ruined with small holes from sitting in the bleach for 30 minutes without being rinsed. I showed the attendant there and asked if she can help to at least let me put it through the hot cycle again in a different machine. After speaking to her boss on the phone she tried to explain to me that there was nothing wrong with the machine "he said it's working" and that I had to leave my name and phone number for her boss to call me and explain if she was going to give me a free re-wash in another machine. I refused to leave my info as her boss doesn't need to explain to me clean clothes- he's not there to see the result of dingy, bleach soaked laundry. The machine hot cycle clearly isn't working. She told me that it's her job to take my info for the re-wash. What kind of management requests a phone call for a $4 wash refund to explain something he's not even there for?! Eventually she let me re-wash but no empathy, apology or even reassurance that she saw the dirty clothing and would take care of it with her boss. FYI I didn't add any soap or bleach to the 2nd wash just wanted a hot rinse and there was tons of suds and my clothes came out actually white... proving there was something wrong with the first wash and the soap and bleach was never washed out. On top of the poor washing, the dryer I put my clothing in, I could barely get the "delicate" button to switch on for low air dry and when it did, my clothing came out steaming hot and shrunk, so that setting didn't work either. I don't have high expectations for a laundry mat, except that my clothes come out clean, in a timely manner and do not get ruined. Any issues that contradict those basic requirements, should be addressed in an understating manner. Considering the pricing here is 20% higher than almost anywhere I've ever gone, today's experience definitely made me want to deter people from coming and having the same issue! 1 star for convenience and 1 star for speed on the days the units actual work. Fix your machines if you're going to charge so much and don't fight your customers over a single $4 load. Just look into it, NICELY.

Jian's is pretty busy on Sundays but you still always manage to find a machine. Prices here are the cheapest after surveying the area. It's a no frills laundromat and the machines work well. No complaints here! I think it was tough to find a self serve laundromat on the UES, so i'm glad Jian's is still there!

The information I would want to know when I'm looking up self-service laundry is below: Cost: $5 to buy a refillable card that all the machines use. If you are going for the first time ask for a card to fill, then you can put money on it using cash or card on a machine in the back right by the desk. $4 per wash (cycles are 20 ish minutes). They have a large amount of washers which I've never seen fully occupied but they only have a few that are really big to accommodate sheets and towels. They have several soap options there if that is desirable. Washers lock while washing so you can leave and grab a coffee. 25 cents = 4 minutes on the dryer. I usually end up paying less than $2 to dry all of my clothing bc they're very quick and very large. This location also handles drop-off laundry, but I've never used it! Pros: very clean, good washer availability, locking washers, fast cycles Cons: card can be a bit of a hassle especially the first couple times you use it + it costs $5 the first time

I tried out 4 different companies and would always run into issues - clothes came back dirtier and with stains, I'd get charged extra for items I didn't even include in my order, they were often hours late in pick ups/drop-offs, or they simply wouldn't show up during the scheduled window of service, and customer service would be awful - one company straight up ghosted me. I gave each of them 3 chances before finding someone new. When I tell you that I'm SOOO happy that finally found Todd Layne Cleaners, that is an understatement! TLC has excellent customer service and are professional all around. Scheduling is a breeze, delivery guys are prompt in pick-up/drop-offs, AND my clothes are actually CLEAN. The fact that I can customize my washes is just a plus. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion. Thanks TLC for making my life so much easier!! I love you so much, I could cry. It was 20 years old and I loved its classy black dress look. Took it home, put it in the closet and because I didn't wear it often never looked at it. A year later, took it out for a wedding, packed it still in their plastic bag. Got to the wedding and it wasn't my dress. It was a cheap black dress, not even my size but because it had been so long I felt I couldn't complain. Figured it was a one time issue. WRONG! In 2022 brought in a beautiful, pricey Saks Fifth Avenue blouse (about 10 years old) and a new white shirt. They lost both though insisted they delivered them. There was no record at my very efficient building's concierge. I even checked neighboring buildings. Nothing. I submitted a form for some kind of compensation. As an aside they NEVER apologized. Two years later, though lots of promises to send the check they NEVER delivered the check just like they never delivered my clothes. So if you value your items, and want them returned, go elsewhere.
