This place is really sick. (In a good way) Got almost 3 deck-boxes here. They even have wiffle ball stuff. (Which saved my boredom of the summer time) beautiful selection. We needed to get a bunch of key copies, so off we went here since it was the nearest "real" hardware store we could find in an emergency. Parking is a bit tricky on the weekend, so we had to park (possibly ethically wrong, but I swear it was empty!) in a neighboring business's lot and walked over. The gentleman who made our keys took his time to make sure they were matched up correctly, and I appreciated that little bit of extra effort. If you're a woman who thinks your lips need a touch up with perhaps a few shots of botox and are on a budget, try this instead: Go into the Ace and snag some of their freshly popped popcorn near the checkout station. Whoever is in charge of making this stuff usually over salts the shit out of it, making my lips swell up so I resemble a giant sea bass within an hour or so. It takes me about 4 bags and I'm a dead ringer for Charlie the Tuna. Real handy if you have an important event and don't want to mess with plastic surgery. Go Ace. read more

Throwback hardware store with a lot of extremely helpful staff. They have a little of everything and almost all you could want for that quick home fix it project. I would stop here before wandering the aisles of one of those big stores. Local gem, excellent staff. read more

Our hotel had horrible frying pans-- we needed a nonstick frying pan and ACE hardware was the only store that had what we needed. God I wish they were in north jersey too. I get so overwhelmed in those big joe depot types of places. I loved this store and the staff were the best. read more

This is a remarkable place. I have a hat from Australia that takes 97% of the suns rays and I've had it for years. The leather strap fell apart. Went to Ace and the owner knew exactly what I needed. Brigantine Ace Hardware located in the center of Brigantine island and really have everything you could need to clean up, fix up or repair most anything around your home. The staff here is always so very friendly and knowledgeable, ready with helpful advise and it is usually very good. Beats the heck out of driving all the way to Absecon to a big box store with a bunch of people working there that do not have a clue and as is usually the case never available to answer a question anyway. Brigantine Ace is no more than 5 minutes from any where on the island. Prices are competitive with the big stores and so much more convenient... save time, save gas and save your aggravation go the Brigantine Ace Hardware. read more

I felt that it was time to review this place as I have been going there since I moved to Brigantine to pick up odds and ends, plants for my garden, etc. My last few purchase were done via store pick. I order the items I need at the ACE website, pay for the purchase online and the item has been ready for pickup within hours. I love being able to walk in to the store and just pick up my items without searching for them. My last order consisted of five items and I double checked everything when I got home and they got it perfect. Residents of Brigantine are really lucky to have and Ace Hardware in our city. More expensive than any other store in the area. Every manager is arrogant and rude. Anyone that complains about anything they say or do is immediately told to leave the store while these managers wave and say, "Ok. Bye." (I have personally witnessed that behavior three times in one year.) Take my advice and go to Home Depot in Absecon instead. This store does not deserve your business. Oh, do I need to mention the fact that they have an excuse every time a return comes in? Good luck getting your money back for anything that you buy at this dump. read more

They always seem to have what we need and on those rare occasions when they don't have it, then tell us where to get it. It's always "mission accomplished" when we visit Brigantine Ace Hardware. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!! They do not honor returns and they are twice as expensive as Home Depot which is only minutes away. Also, a friend went in without a mask. He is on the state exemption list because of numerous collapsed lungs. It endangers his health to wear one due to the decreased oxygen. They refused to allow him into the store saying that it was for "everyone's health". If everyone else has masks on, wouldn't that make them safe? If they aren't safe with a mask on then masks are obviously useless. When asked why my friend should have to risk his health when the state guidelines released him from the "mask craze", the EXTREMELY RUDE manager said, "It's our policy and that's that." It isn't about safety or health in this store. It's discrimination against people who are health compromised in other ways just so that they can pretend to have some sort of social conscience. When told that he would lose a family of customers, the manager said, "Ok. Bye" and walked off with his nose in the air. The manager is a hypocrite and a liar. We have tried to return things many times -- after being assured that returning the item would be no problem -- only to be given some story as to why they can't accept the return. Recently I took some screens to have them rescreened. Ran into a few problems with getting this done. Finally Shannon helped me with my situation and was absolutely amazing. She was always available for me to talk to. She finally got everything taken care of for me and was absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied.
