Tall trees between the parking strips provided shade for the parked vehicles. The entry/exit way of the building was straightforward to navigate and sections in the library were well marked. I was particularly impressed with the non-fiction offerings in the movies section. They were organized by subject with names on movie jacket bindings easy to read. Approximate run times for the titles I checked were not covered by library barcodes. As run time did factor in in to my selection today, I appreciated the run times were not covered. Check-out went smoothly.

I stopped by Mountlake Terrace Library today, Friday 20 March 2026, to look for a world history…read morebook. The building was clearly marked on the exterior of the building itself and signage along the street indicated its location for pedestrians/vehicles. The main entrance/exit was straightforward to find and navigate. Tabled work areas were located throughout the library and were busy/full away from the main entrance/central area. The non-fiction area was clearly labeled as was its shelving by topic. There was breadth and depth in offerings for the topic I was searching for. I opted for a book with a Middle East region focus and made my way to check out. The check out kiosk operated in a manner consistent with procedures I have encountered at other Sno-Isle Libraries. School began TItle IX investigation which found no evidence of SA. I told investigator she had become abusive recently. She forgot her key, and when I opened the door, she screamed and pushed me because I was late. One time, she grabbed me by the shirt collar and scratched my neck with her nails. She snuck into my room and stole my bloodstained shirt. She repeatedly threw away my shoes to stop me from going to school or meeting friends. Eventually, I lost my patience and messed up her things. She brought her friend who attacks me. During the investigation, she stole my iPhone and returned it when she moved out. Despite all of this, my side of the story was ignored by school. Even though there was no evidence of SA, I got a disciplinary warning for messing up her belongings. She and her friend faced no consequences. For years after the investigation ended, she kept emailing and texting me on Instagram that she is sorry. Imagine if the situation were reversed. What if a guy stole a girl's phone and stalked? What if a guy assaulted a girl or kept her from going to school? What if a guy brought his friend to assault a girl roommate? I believe the outcome of the investigation would have been very different and you can go to jail.

The cashier up front is usually nice but the person behind is unfriendly and judgey if you ask them to make your own drink. If I'm paying almost $10 for a drink then I would expect it to be made to my satisfaction! Not a fan of the Cafe! I would rather pick up my coffee somewhere else and then go to the book store to browse.

There isn't much to say about Lake Forest Park. It is a very nice city and is very small. It has…read moregrown substantially over the past few years though and continues to grow. The "downtown" area is center around a large white building which houses the majority of the administrative and government offices. There is a lot housed in the one building though and it seems as though all the stores are situated in this one area of the city. I did notice the police department right away but there is also a quite nice public library & town hall along with a few other cute shops. It's a really quaint city which feels extremely safe. That might explain why the population is blowing up.

First, I was given wrong information from (name I forgot, sorry!) regarding release of information. She told me to look it up online. Okay, lazybones, I know it is not available online and I have to contact the courthouse. Sorry to interrupt your game of computer solitaire! Again she tried to deny me (I'm honestly beginning to wonder if she got paid off, I find her behavior so odd...why this delay? Is she seriously that lazy) So I called the courthouse on my cell phone when I was standing right in front of her, and the lady behind her answered. This is the only way to get things done; you have to both *be there* and call them at the same time. The same information I was able to get from the Everett Division in about 60 seconds, and I would imagine that is a much busier court. and that is the sad thing. at least their employees are competent. However, most of the cases were filed in this court, so I have to deal with them regarding release of information. It would've been helpful to learn that the person I was filing against was a convicted criminal, but they denied me that information. Thanks, but no thanks S Division. Explain it to Jesus on judgement day!!

This is going to sound weird, but... going to this courthouse was NOT a bad experience…read more I don't know if anyone has ever said those words before. I went in to change my last name. Every single person I encountered was pleasant, had a sense of humor, and gave a &^@#% about not taking up my entire day. I've never experienced that in a government run office before. I told my husband it was like a court from the Twilight Zone- pleasant. Strange. Way to go folks.
