I was immediately greeted by the folks at the middle desk and as I studied I could hear them kindly checking in on others and helping out. They're friendly here, I definitely loved the vibe. I chose a large table in the fiction section where there was a magical looking Hobbit painting and giant windows on the sides. Even on a cloudy day these windows provide a lot of natural light and it's a motivating spot to sit and get work done. You can even sit at the window sill and really enjoy the light. I was happy to find my table had an outlet on the desk for convenience but there are also outlets laid out everywhere. A huge plus! The computer areas are also scattered throughout instead of it being a large area where you have to sit with everyone and I thought that was pretty cool. Another plus for the study room fully equipped! However, online it says they're currently not available but I'm looking forward to it opening back up!

What's important to me, is that my kids enjoy and appreciate the library as a public service. At other nearby locations, the children's section is just as nice--but it's how the children are received and treated that sets this library apart. Mini (sp?) the librarian is extremely kind, welcoming, and fun-loving. She helps my kids find what they're interested in--always going above and beyond. And she treats them like they are wanted there. Also, there are Children's activities set out for kids to play with every time we go. I really appreciate how they welcome kids in and encourage a love of reading and community. Most places in this area do not.

What a gem this library is!…read more Spacious, large and well-maintained, this establishment is very friendly and inviting. We arrived for story time but were a few minutes early and had the opportunity to peruse, participate in summer reading programs and talk to the staff, who were all very helpful. The story time was well-organized and easy to join for the first time. :) The children were engaged and the children's librarian offered helpful lessons on the alphabet and counting games/songs which reinforce what many children are learning either at preschool or at home.

Plenty of seating, free Wi-Fi, restrooms. There's a filtered water dispenser (bring a water bottle!). To my surprise, there's a cafe ("Howdy Y'all Coffee", open all week except Sundays) on-site. Spend an hour walking up stairs or using the elevator to see the stunning architecture and views of the city.
