I was immediately greeted by the folks at the middle desk and as I studied I could hear them kindly checking in on others and helping out. They're friendly here, I definitely loved the vibe. I chose a large table in the fiction section where there was a magical looking Hobbit painting and giant windows on the sides. Even on a cloudy day these windows provide a lot of natural light and it's a motivating spot to sit and get work done. You can even sit at the window sill and really enjoy the light. I was happy to find my table had an outlet on the desk for convenience but there are also outlets laid out everywhere. A huge plus! The computer areas are also scattered throughout instead of it being a large area where you have to sit with everyone and I thought that was pretty cool. Another plus for the study room fully equipped! However, online it says they're currently not available but I'm looking forward to it opening back up!

Oh, my! It's one of my favorite things about Sultan!…read more You can get 100 books at a time (!!!) and lots of movies and CDs. It's a small place but you can go online and ask them to bring things available in Seattle or elsewhere to Monroe, and then roll in and pick them up. I put myself on the waiting list for the last Game of Thrones season and despite being number 68 on the list, I had it within a week. They have a job club for those searching, and other community activities, lots of magazines, free internet, easy parking, and a free Seattle Times Sunday edition. I have cancelled my Netflix subscription, as I can get pretty much anything I want through them. Yay! $16 a month now in my pocket. I love, love, love this library.

This turned out to be very complicated-not straightforward at all. There was a young man working at the library who helped me. He was very patient and knowledgeable. I really loved going to this library every week as it was a good place to be and hangout with my…read morefriends, but recently i was with a group of my friends around the recetangular table in the middle, then a random guy comes out of nowhere yelling gibberish about how my friends and I where on the second floor disturbing him (me and my friends on this day were not at all on the second floor) and while saying these things, he came next to me and he clenched his fist ready to punch me. I was really scared for my life (being a high-school teenager) but the security guard, the staff and the people around us did nothing, and I and my friends were frozen in fear, the guy randomly left, so we thought he came to his senses or he realized that we were never in the second floor, so we continued on our own business. Then suddenly 10 or minutes after that, the guy shoved me hard and I knocked down one of my friends that was sitting next to me, so the rest of my friends left calmly, to call security or ask for help, and the guy that shoved me kept talking more gibberish about us in the second floor bothering him, so the person next to me was desperately trying to explain we were never in the second floor today, (keep mind that nobody including the security guards did anything, I don't think they even cared) then the guy randomly called his dog on the second floor in the library (and keep in mind that pets are strictly not allowed in the library and I was so scared the dog was going to maul me) and then the guy was yelling for the security to come (which up on to this point was literally doing nothing) and he told the security guard that we were on the second floor bothering him (the security guard knew we never were on the second floor) the security guard then said to me and the guy that we will be kicked out if we don't stop bothering each other, the guy then left to the second floor(and I was thinking thats it? You're not going to do anything about himself assaulting me?) And I was so shocked that the people around me, the security guard and the staff did nothing about this. (Also keep in mind that one time me and my friend was throwing around a light ball in the library and we were threatened to be kicked out of the library and we had to really apologize to be not kicked out) so if I throw around a ball I get kicked out of the library but if a random guy assaults me he gets of scott free. (I don't feel safe anymore in this library especially when the staff didn't care a vulnerable high-school kid was being assaulted infront of them)

Huge plus for the air purifiers around too. I usually come in the morning on weekdays and it's never very busy. My favorite area is the couch chairs in the back which has nice lighting and is a peaceful place to read. It's also next to a large meeting room which I've never seen used but it's very spacious, equipped with tables, chairs, and whiteboards.

Parking was packed on my visit to Lynnwood Library this afternoon, Wednesday 2 July 2025. The…read morelibrary abutted the recreational center though there was library-specific parking on the side of the library opposite the recreational center. Tall trees between the parking strips provided shade for the parked vehicles. The entry/exit way of the building was straightforward to navigate and sections in the library were well marked. I was particularly impressed with the non-fiction offerings in the movies section. They were organized by subject with names on movie jacket bindings easy to read. Approximate run times for the titles I checked were not covered by library barcodes. As run time did factor in in to my selection today, I appreciated the run times were not covered. Check-out went smoothly.

I was in Redmond and decided to stop by to try to get a library card for the King County Library…read moreSystem, and it worked! A section with a few computers near the entrance is dedicated to applying for a new library card and you'd have to fill out an application on a website on the computer. Then, you go up to the librarians to have your application processed. The librarian was very detail oriented and friendly, I loved talking to her. The library is medium sized, not too big for a library, but still felt wide and spacious. There is AC and I like that there is a bus stop right outside so that I can comfortably wait for the bus that takes me home.

There was never a library I didn't like, including the Redmond Library. I normally visit the…read moreBellevue location, but while I was in the area, I decided to check out what the selection was like here on a Friday. And it was a solid library with books to explore and purchase. The Redmond library is located across from city hall and is walking distance to the Redmond Transit Center. When I visited on a Friday afternoon the library was quiet and did not have as many people here as the Bellevue location normally has, which was nice. When you enter the library, there are shelves near the entrance for books to purchase from the Friends of the Library sale, which is worth a gander for some really cheap deals. I was easily able to return books and browse through the selection, as the different sections were easy to find and there was ample seating. Not far from where I work out, I'll make Redmond library an option for when I need to return or pick up books.
