He showed up on time, worked hard the entire time he was here and cleaned up after himself perfectly. I would recommend anyone shopping for carpet installation to use Pannell Floors. One thing I learned about installation of carpet is that it significantly improves the ability of the installer to stretch the carpet if it sits in your house overnight to acclimate to the temperature and humidity of your home. Not only does this improve the installation, it extends the warranty. You pay extra for this service as it takes his guys two visits to install the carpet vs just showing up and doing it. Colt removed and disposed of the old carpet and padding, then cut the new rubber padding to size, ran a double tack strip so I could run my surround speaker wires under the carpet then cut the carpet to rough size. We then cranked up the heat to around 74 degrees for the night to warm up the carpet so it can stretch better. It looks and feels outstanding. I'll use Dave and Colt when we need the rest of the house done. They are responsive, professional and price competitively. There was very little waste or leftover (which we regret), but it's a testament to how accurate Dave orders to minimize cost of material. I would recommend this rubber padding under any rug or runner vs. what is available to purchase online or through Amazon...even the expensive 1/2" rug pads. The rebound is so much better and easier on your feet, it feels luxurious!

One room is used as an office/library and the other is my art studio. In my studio, I needed a floor that could stand up to water and paint drips. So far, so good. We had a bit of a time constraint in the office/library. We were having an office desk/storage system custom built to fit the space and the floor had to be done before the installation. Jacob arrived early on a Monday and completed the two rooms by about lunchtime. He worked alone but quickly and efficiently. Both areas were cleaned up well too. We could tell when the job was finished that Jacob was a meticulous craftsperson and paid attention to all the details. The floors were beautiful and the installation exceeded our expectations. It's hard to add much else to all the other reviews, but I wanted to give a special thank you to Jacob for being willing to wear a mask while in our home. It involved not only sanding and refinishing, but leveling the kitchen floors and lacing in new wood with the old in multiple places, several patches, installing all new baseboards, and some creative problem-solving to work the quarter round around the floor vents. He also built a new cover for my crawl space entry to match the flooring around it. Throughout the job, Mike was responsive, friendly, patient, respectful, and worked with a high level of integrity and transparency. He was genuinely fantastic to work with - I never felt like I was being brushed off or taken advantage of (as opposed to some other contractors I've encountered). We called many in town and not a single one would pick up their phone. So I ended up doing them myself. Not only that, but I talked to Virgil, a very nice guy who absolutely loves what he does. He came to my house and saw what I had done, and despite knowing that I was doing the floors myself, he was gracious enough to give me a few pointers. When we looked through his busy schedule, we found a date that was open. Though we weren't going to be in town that week, he was super helpful and willing to work with our schedule. Virgil, who owns the company, promoted his dustless system and ecofriendly refinishing and the new technology involved. The work was done in a timely manner with very little dust, in fact, I had to really look for it. There was a small amount on the surface of the stove and some on window sills, but it wiped off easily just like doing any other home dusting. The smell was minimal and quickly faded after a day or two. I was hesitant to put out a large amount of money and wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. Virgil was very helpful in answering my questions. He mailed the contract to me in advance so that I could review it and ask additional questions if needed. I also had several scheduling barriers and changes. Virgil was patient and answered my calls in a timely manner. He also was able to move my refrigerator out and back in without harming the floor for a relatively small fee. The worker was professional and careful. There was no damage to floor boards and no mess left behind. I got 3 quotes and he was right in the ballpark. I'm glad I didn't go with anyone else.
