I used Dave to purchase my carpet from Area Floors and Colt installed it. We chose the most premium rubber pad available and have no regrets. Colt did the installation and he was excellent. He showed up on time, worked hard the entire time he was here and cleaned up after himself perfectly. I would recommend anyone shopping for carpet installation to use Pannell Floors. One thing I learned about installation of carpet is that it significantly improves the ability of the installer to stretch the carpet if it sits in your house overnight to acclimate to the temperature and humidity of your home. Not only does this improve the installation, it extends the warranty. You pay extra for this service as it takes his guys two visits to install the carpet vs just showing up and doing it. Colt removed and disposed of the old carpet and padding, then cut the new rubber padding to size, ran a double tack strip so I could run my surround speaker wires under the carpet then cut the carpet to rough size. We then cranked up the heat to around 74 degrees for the night to warm up the carpet so it can stretch better. It looks and feels outstanding. I'll use Dave and Colt when we need the rest of the house done. They are responsive, professional and price competitively. There was very little waste or leftover (which we regret), but it's a testament to how accurate Dave orders to minimize cost of material. I would recommend this rubber padding under any rug or runner vs. what is available to purchase online or through Amazon...even the expensive 1/2" rug pads. The rebound is so much better and easier on your feet, it feels luxurious! read more

We hired Pannell Floors to install carpet in our third floor condo. Colt and Tyler hauled all of our carpet, pad and supplies up three flights of stairs without one single swear word! ALL of our contractors have potty mouths when they see our flight of stairs! And ALL of our contractors immediately tuck into the fetal position and begin sucking their thumbs when they realize they are facing many more trips climbing those stairs! Not Colt and Tyler! They sweat, they huffed and they smiled as they dragged the supplies up the 56 steps to our install location. Dave is awesome. We moved here from SF, and were looking to install new carpet in our house. Our new home came with white carpet, and needless to say with two cats I don't do white carpet! :) We hadn't even closed on our house, so ordering the carpet and getting the installation set was a little tricky. I was in town and had permission for two hours at the house with the seller's realtor. With two days notice, Dave was able to commit to the two hour window and have his installer measure for what we needed. Then I headed over to a wholesale carpet place Dave recommended and picked out what we wanted and ordered it. With a month's notice, Dave fit me into his schedule for installation. I was moving in on a Monday, having closets removed on Tuesday, and having my furniture delivered on Friday. His team came in on Wednesday and pulled out the old carpet and replaced it with new pad and carpet. We kept the house nice and warm overnight and Thursday, Dave came out with his team and stretched everything into place. Dave and his team are on time, affordable, and professional. Because they did such a fabulous job, I asked Dave if he did bamboo flooring, and he referred me to someone he knows that does excellent work with hardwood floors. Being new to the area, I thought that was really kind - certainly going above and beyond. We will be installing carpet after we build out our basement this Fall and guess who I will be calling? We had a small job (3 9'x12' rooms) that needed to be done in a narrow time frame. Dave was easy to work with and his installers were friendly, focused, and efficient. They removed and disposed of the old carpet and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. They will be on the top of my list the next time we need to have some carpet replaced. One important thing to note is that there is no show room or office to visit, so don't expect to drive to the posted address and browse. If you drive to the address listed above, all you will find is a residential neighborhood. Initial contact is done by phone, and once Dave gets an idea of what you are looking for, he will point you to a supplier for the carpet, and then handle the installation when you have decided on the particular product you want. The approach is a little different from what I expected, but it does serve to keep overhead costs down and that's always a positive in my opinion. read more

They quoted me a very reasonable price to install carpet in entry and down the stairs to the basment, about half as much as a few other people who were asking for almost $1,000 for half a days work at most. Oh my gosh, I'm so thrilled we went with Pannell Floors. From the beginning I had a good feeling about Dave and his team. Dave was incredibly responsive, and very informative with regards to our whole house carpet install. To complicate things, we did a carpet with a pattern repeat, which can make things a bit more difficult, but Dave walked us through the direction of the pattern and everything before install. The team showed up on the big day and explained the process. All carpets were removed, new carpet tacks where needed, and disposal of the existing (DISGUSTING!) carpet were all included and ITEMIZED in our bid. This was not the same as some of the other bids, which just felt a bit fishy. Dave even backed out material in the end that he didn't end up utilizing. Totally honest, upfront company. I cannot say enough about the job they did. Our house is big, and those guys worked their rear ends off. The team was incredibly pleasant, very hardworking, and did an absolutely amazing job. I will never use anyone else for carpet install. Seriously. We bid out three different contractors (no box stores), and one locally owned carpet install place was just astronomically overpriced. Dave's was reasonable and well worth the finished product. And as a last bit of praise, even after working a very long day, the guys did a great job on clean-up. We needed new carpet in our bedrooms so i started searching Yelp in Oct/Nov. Found Pannell Floors to have the best reviews so gave Dave a call in early November. He suggested going to Contractors Furnishing Mart in Hillsboro. Within an hour or two of searching at the Mart we found the carpet we loved and got it ordered. We scheduled the install a couple weeks later and now we have the carpet installed. It looks better than we had imagined. So happy with our new flooring and Tyler and Colt who installed were friendly and finished the job so quickly! We also thought we would need new carpet padding and not knowing much about carpet i would have just not even known what was good padding and what wasnt. When Tyler and Colt looked at it they said our current padding was in great condition and i didnt have to change it out if i didnt want to. Saving us a couple hundred! Quality work. Dave's workers were hard working and great. Had some back-and-forth miscommunications with the owner which was irritating but in the end, got resolved. Never met him in person. Just spoke with him on the phone and then met his employees who did the work. I feel it would have been a better idea for the person that we were talking to to see the inside of our home so that they have a better idea as to what the job consists of. From start to finish, we had an excellent experience with David and his team. We were quite nervous about how the berber carpet we had bought would look, but his team did a great job of laying it down, and we were particularly impressed with the way they handled the seams. The energy and care they expended on laying the carpet exactly right in the closet spaces says a lot about their meticulousness and attention to detail. We had a bit of trouble with the carpet afterward (within the warranty period), and David responded to our concern promptly and resolved it.
