First time skiing and loved Bridger Bowl! The lodge offers a hearty menu and every drink you can think throughout the day. Of course the views are stunning and the trails were well groomed. Definitely will be back here!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Slopes were dope. I would definitely come back and visit again.

Great alternative to Big Sky outside of Bozeman. Great runs and a good price. Would recommend.

[A little bit foggy] view from the top! (That pomma lift is ski patrol only, you have to hike alongside)

Bridger Bowl is unlike any ski area I've ever been to. The in-bounds skiing is decent and there's a lot of terrain, but the ridge skiing is where it's at. There's an entire chair devoted to it, and you have to have a beacon to even be let up! The mountain is set up on a large face, so there's a lot of room laterally but there's not a front and a back side like there are at many ski ares. You have to take a couple chairs to get to the top, but once you're there they have a mid mountain lodge so you don't really need to go all the way to the bottom until the end of the day. It's also nice because it sort of divides up the mountain and keeps the beginners at the bottom. Most of the really good skiing is accesible by hiking above each of the top lifts, with plenty of chutes that open up into incredible aprons for some amazing untouched snow. There's a huge variety of lines to take from just a little bit pinchy to more intense chutes with no-fall zones to some straight-up cliffs. The feel of the place is great, too, because the skiers that are hiking know their stuff and most of them are pretty bad-ass. I'd never really done beacon-worthy backcountry before, but I loved every minute of it at Bridger! It's kinda nice to actually have to work for your powder, and it's steep enough that sluff will fill in your tracks and you get freshies every time! If you're serious about skiing, Bridger is a must, but don't forget to bring your daypack and a friend to show you around!

Bridger Bowl is a great alternative to $80 lift tickets at Big Sky. Not as much vertical Drop but at $45 a ticket and no lift lines it's just what the doctor ordered if you're really into boarding or skiing and not just being on the scene. Mostly intermediate & expert runs but a new lift requires you to take a shovel and beacon with you. It's named for a guy who died in an avalanche. Sound enticing? The bar, Jimmy B's is pretty basic and so is the cafeteria. If you are wondering about the snow check out if the blue light is flashing at the Baxter Hotel in town. A flashing light means the snow is falling. Ditch work and get out here.

Every time we thought we were getting our bearings, we'd discover another whole zone tucked behind a ridge. Big Sky really does live up to its name. We kicked things off on what was supposed to be a "warm‑up run," but joke's on us, it was long, challenging, and honestly kind of brutal... in the best possible way. These runs are no joke and some of the longest I've ever ridden. But once the legs woke up, the rest of the day just flowed. Endless terrain, great snow, and barely any crowds. Absolute bliss. Had to pop into The Montage on the far left side of the mountain, and wow, the cocktails are phenomenal. Pricey? Yes. But you're on a mountain this bougie... what did we expect? Totally worth it. And let's talk about that gondola to tram combo up toward Lone Mountain. INSANE. The views are surreal, the exposure is wild, and the access is next‑level. Will I ever attempt the Big Couloir? Absolutely not. Do I love knowing it's there for people braver (and crazier) than me? Absolutely yes. Between the bowls, tree runs, off‑piste pockets, and wide‑open cruisers, there's truly something for everyone and somehow it never feels crowded. Big Sky has officially earned a top spot on my favorite‑resorts list. No question, I will 100% be back.

The lodge is very rustic and cozy. The restaurant is very nice and feels more upscale. The food was incredible, but I would love to see more vegetarian/vegan options. There are some salads and a mushroom pasta, but it was very heavy on the dairy- delicious though! The bread before dinner was AMAZING and the staff were really on top of things. My favorite part about the restaurant was the breakfast buffet. I loved the pancakes and huge assortment of tasty breakfast food. We were able to get delicious breakfast every morning before hitting the slopes, and were also excited to go back at the end of the day and grab some much needed drinks. Staff will help you remove your boots and will even heat your ski boots overnight! The locker rooms are also really nicely furnished. We learned while we were there that everything is only a few months old right now so we were really there in the ultimate peak condition. One of the other really cool things is that the Spanish Peaks resort is open only to guests. It has trails that connect you right into Big Sky so you can ski both resorts, but if you're staying at Spanish Peaks, the slopes there are included with your stay. Trails were wide open, freshly groomed, and it felt like we had our own private place to ski/snowboard. On Friday night there was a live band playing the bar area which was really nice. Also, I need to mention that our bartender Patrick (Murph!) was just phenomenal. He was friendly and attentive and clearly a great guy. Equipment and amenities were frequently broken or poorly maintained--from a leaking roof and towel shortages to a malfunctioning pool and delayed rink openings. Despite working hard and receiving praise, I experienced a lack of transparency, fairness, and consistency--especially around service charges, insurance eligibility, and end-of-season scheduling.
