We pulled in and thought "jackpot!" The grounds by the office are really nice and so are the RV sites. There were many empty grassy, shaded, sites. Then, we made our way to the site my husband chose online. We drove out of the "nice" area, through potholes full of water to end site J1. It's right along busy Lower Rainbow road so forget sleeping in. And long term campers warmed up their loud cars and diesel trucks before heading to work. Let's just say, it's not as peaceful as the website mentions. Free basic wi-fi wasn't true for our site. We couldn't even find it on the list. We did not take advantage of the hot springs. Too many kids. I would prefer to have paid less for my campsite and let me choose if I want to buy entrance to the hot springs. I really liked the staff. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond just to find us a Bozeman magnet. She offered to open the store so we could look. Thank you. I give the campground 3 stars because of her. I will look to stay elsewhere if in the area again.

Clean and neat Excellent camp sight

Can't wait to get back!! We had a great adventure during the Covid shut down..traveling in a motor home and keeping to ourselves across America

What an awesome place. Nice shady sites, friendly staff, free breakfast, clean bathrooms and free admittance into the indoor /outdoor Hot Springs pools next door. Live entertainment twice a week next door during the summer.

Cabin area there is a fire pit on the other side of the picnic table also

So we drove all day and arrived after hours. We were relieved to find the keys in an envelope for us with a map and instructions to follow. Super easy. The bathrooms were close by and clean. In the morning they had a delicious hot breakfast eggs and waffles with other choices as well. We had to leave before doing anything else but there was a drop box for the keys. I did notice they have a lot of activities for families. I would definitely stay here again as it was affordable and clean.

Too bad it is not scratch and sniff! Btw- this is not the worst....

Great time at this RV park! We loved the hot springs! Wish we could of booked more days, but it's hard to get in with it being so popular!

Terrible. Over priced with no WiFi or cable as advertised. Loud neighbors, no staff. Save your money ($80) and go to a campground.

Tent site was spacious so, although there were quite a few there, you weren't on top of each other. The bathrooms were clean every time we used them and the showers had great water pressure and temperature. While we were out hiking, it began to rain. The campers next to us seen that we had left our tent open and put our rain fly up for us. Amazing campers etiquette. The only thing missing for us was a campfire. The train noises were there but in the background and didn't wake us up at all. The person who checked us in was extremely hospitable. It is near town for all the amenities

Spoke to the young man at the front desk who said oh yeah we've had another person complain about that last week. Ok? And the owner just refuses to fix it? Wow... then proceeds to tell me they are completely booked and can't move us to a different site, so, I'm supposed to use my generator all week? Magically, an hour later they find us a different site. Dog area is not fenced and they obviously don't care if people don't pick up their dog's crap. I stepped in it multiple times. Lastly, we had to run a load of laundry which took 4 hours. Washers work fine but had to wait 3 hours to get a dryer since 2 of the 4 don't work very well - fix your f'n dryers. Yet, the loudmouth owner proceeds to give my pregnant wife shit about leaving our laundry in the dryer for an extra 45 minutes - sorry we tried to get it done before dinner, but since you're a cheap ass and won't fix the dryer somehow it's our fault. Stay away from this place. Shame on you.

I can't say enough about how incredible the food was. But also the service! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. They start the meal with homemade donut holes, served hot and fresh! Then your main course... and if you're lucky you get a homemade biscuit with your choice of homemade jam. Then for Easter they ended the meal with cupcakes. The chicken fried steak was the best I've had... ever... hands down. My daughter got the country omelet (she usually sticks with eggs and bacon). She couldn't believe how good it was. So good in fact that when her brothers girlfriend accidentally took the wrong leftovers the next day we had a couple tears! Thank you!

While checking in to the Rambling Moose RV Park, I could immediately tell that this was a very nice RV park... As a matter of fact, it was a nicest park I stayed in between Oregon and Virginia city! Everything appeared brand new and Kim, the owner, pointed out all of the many amenities that they offered.... including her quilted art artwork! Beautiful! I must've looked pretty sick because Kim, out of the kindness of her soul, refused to allow me to sleep on the ground in the cold that evening. She gave me a camping cabin at no additional cost! Next the next morning, I still felt very ill and was unable to ride my bike. I asked her if she could help me find someone who could take me and my gear from Virginia City to West Yellowstone, which was my destination for that day. Kim, and her husband Greg, without blinking an eye, offered to help me! Kim drove me the 85 miles from Virginia City to West Yellowstone so I could get a hotel room while I recovered from this debilitating stomach issue, People like Kim and Greg of the Rambling Moose RV park are the kind of people that care about their guests and make sure that their guests are comfortable and happy with their experience. Since it is just 2 of us, we thought it best to leave 2 beds available for a family that might need it. We emailed them to switch us to the single queen bed. They were very quick in their response. No issues or problems, we were switched. As we pulled in, my first impression was how immaculate and pristine the property looked. The lines between the gravel and grass were clean and straight. The grass was well manicured and green. The gravel was thick and pretty. There was nothing but beauty to see. These people care about their property. There are shaded tent-spots steps away from a covered picnic table and a real bathroom (a bathroom with lights, soap, hot water, a flushing toilet and an outlet to charge your phone). Next to the office are free hot showers, real bathrooms, coin-laundry facilities and a sink to wash dishes. Everything was spotless during our 48 hour stay. We stayed in a cabin. There was a small covered porch with 2 plastic resin chairs and a small plastic resin side-table. Next to the cabin is a picnic table and a grill for briquettes when there is no fire ban. Inside, there is a very comfortable, memory foam queen bed that is wrapped in a protective cover. The bed frame is made of logs and is beautiful. Bring your own linens and pillows. We travel with sleeping bags and pillows. There was a lamp, heater, fan, 2 screened windows, a side table, a small square dining table and 2 chairs. The floor is a washable surface (vinyl fake wood?). Because every surface was washable, it was very clean upon our arrival. All cabins have electricity. Check-in was a breeze. The owner was a delight. We talked for several minutes. My most important message to convey to anyone deciding to stay here is this: Safety, trust and piece of mind. They have a strict rule regarding dogs off leash. During our 48 hour stay, we witnessed one dog off leash for a minute. This was quickly addressed and not seen again. I appreciated this very, very much. When you enter the campground, it is clearly posted that only registered guests can continue or you must check-in the office. As we arrived, the owner immediately stepped outside and was greeting us. To me, this means they are very aware of who is in camp. Half the time, we did not lock our cabin. Additionally, they have ice for sale for $2.75. They could gouge the consumer and charge much more. Instead, I feel, they are decent people. Thank you for a wonderful 2 days at your property.
