My wife and I loved how easy it was to pop up the top (seriously takes 5 seconds to put up and take down) without the hassle of needing to tow a trailer. It was also plenty warm in the top at night, and we loved being able to store our gear in the cab that we could access without needing to get out. The Jeep was super clean and we really appreciated the cooler and folding chairs that Alyssa had in the Jeep all ready for us when we picked up the car. We didn't need to do any offroad driving but the Jeep handled great on the roads, even at highway speed. Thanks a ton Hatch for a great experience, can't wait to use one of these sweet setups again in the future.

In the summer they usually have it setup with a tent in the back of the truck. Can't wait to try that! Overall an amazing experience with them, you will not regret it. Stephan is a super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating person. We forgot a cell phone and he was kind enough to get it for us and overnight it!

Deceptive practices. Read your paperwork before leaving the counter…read more We reserved a **minivan for one week for $1,282.33 and declined all rental insuranceduring the online reservation because we are covered through our credit card. When we arrived at the Bozeman Airport Hertz/Dollar counter, Shamus told us they were low on minivans and offered us an upgraded SUV for $42.99/day, saying it was "50% off." We agreed. What he did not tell us was that he also added rental insurance for $66.99/day. He never asked if we already had coverage and never disclosed that insurance was being added. On the drive to Big Sky, we reviewed our contract and immediately noticed the charge. We called the office right away because we wanted it removed immediately--not after the trip. We were told only the supervisor, Kristina Wilson, could help. Over the course of our vacation and after returning home, we have called at least five times. Kristina has never come to the phone or returned our calls. When we questioned Shamus, he said, How was I supposed to know you had insurance through your credit card? My response: Ask the customer or look at the reservation, where insurance was clearly declined. To make matters worse, they placed a $2,827 authorization on our credit card for a one-week rental. For comparison, my brother rented a vehicle for the same trip through another airport and paid about $600. Customers should know that rental agents often receive commissions on insurance and upgrades, making full disclosure especially important. Based on our experience, the lack of transparency was unacceptable. Read every line of your rental agreement before leaving the counter.Although this location operates under the Dollar name, it is the same company as Hertz. We will not rent from this location again.

Fortunately, that did not happen, and not only that, the representative went above and beyond and got us a hybrid as we requested, the car had only 2,600 miles on it and was in excellent condition. On top of that, the representative did not try to up sell or swindle us into buying additional coverage since I had LDW coverage from Amex, which some other car rental companies (such as Fox) would have tried to do given the amazing rate I had managed to book at (only 1/5 of the current booking price). Just an overall great experience from pick up to drop off. Highly recommend!

GORDON MENAGER Avoid…read morethis location, and especially avoid Gordon Menager. This was one of the most appalling customer service experiences I have ever had. Gordon Menager was arrogant, condescending, insecure, and completely unfit to be dealing with customers, much less representing himself as the person in charge. We arrived with a confirmed Dollar rental reservation costing approximately $500. There was an extremely long line. An employee came out from the back, and I specifically asked her whether, as a Hertz Gold member, I could use the Hertz Gold line even though my reservation was through Dollar. She told me yes. I followed THEIR employee's instructions. After approximately 45 minutes of waiting, I reached the front and was told I needed to go back and start over in the other line. I calmly explained that I was standing there because their own employee specifically instructed me to do so. Gordon then inserted himself into the conversation and stated that their employees would "never say something like that," essentially calling me a liar. Unfortunately for Gordon, another customer standing next to me had witnessed what happened and immediately corroborated my account. Rather than acknowledging that he was wrong or simply apologizing for his employee giving incorrect information, Gordon doubled down on his obnoxious behavior. He introduced himself to me as the "GM," meaning General Manager. I subsequently learned that he is apparently a manager in training and has reportedly remained a manager in training for years. If accurate, perhaps his behavior provides some insight into why the training period has been so extensive. The worst part, however, came next. Gordon did not initially refuse to rent us the vehicle. After being spoken to so disrespectfully, I calmly asked Gordon for his business card. Only AFTER I asked for his card did Gordon suddenly decide that he was refusing to rent us our vehicle. What an incredible coincidence. The moment I asked for the information necessary to identify him and report his behavior, Gordon suddenly discovered a reason why my family could no longer receive the vehicle we had already reserved. The entire interaction reeked of insecurity and a desperate need to feel important. Gordon seemed extraordinarily impressed with the small amount of authority he possesses behind an airport rental counter. Rather than resolving an incredibly basic customer service issue, he appeared determined to remind everyone around him that he was the person who could say no. There is something genuinely embarrassing about watching a grown man become so intoxicated by such a limited amount of authority. A secure and competent manager would have resolved this situation in approximately thirty seconds. Instead, Gordon turned a simple misunderstanding caused by HIS OWN EMPLOYEE into an opportunity to posture, condescend to a customer, question my honesty, and ultimately punish my family after I dared to ask him for his business card. It was one of the most pathetic displays of petty authority I have ever witnessed. His behavior gave the overwhelming impression of someone with a serious chip on his shoulder who derives an unusual amount of satisfaction from having the ability to inconvenience other people. The arrogance would almost be funny if his little power trip had not actually cost my family a substantial amount of money. Because Gordon refused to honor our confirmed rental, we were forced to obtain a last minute vehicle from Avis for approximately $1,500, THREE TIMES the approximately $500 cost of our original reservation. His ego cost our family approximately $1,000. Imagine creating a thousand dollar problem for a customer because she asked you for your business card. That tells you everything you need to know about Gordon's temperament. This is not how a professional manager behaves. This is how someone behaves when the title on his name tag seems to be doing an enormous amount of work for his self esteem. And considering Gordon introduced himself as the General Manager when he is apparently still a manager in training, the obsession with appearing important becomes even more remarkable. Hertz and Dollar corporate should seriously examine whether someone who behaves this way should have any managerial authority over customers whatsoever. If Gordon's behavior is representative of the management culture at this location, I would recommend renting literally anywhere else. A confirmed reservation apparently means very little here, and if you have the nerve to question Gordon's behavior or ask for his business card, you may discover just how eagerly he is willing to exercise whatever tiny amount of authority he has. We will be seeking reimbursement for the substantial additional expense his conduct caused and escalating this matter to Hertz and Dollar corporate.
