Breathtaking resort with something for everyone. Amenities here are absolutely fantastic and the staff could not be more attentive and kind ! AND EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL. There was no "umm I don't know", that means the staff is trained really well. All of the guys in valet are true gentlemen racing to open doors for women and to see if they need assistance with anything. Andrew was extremely helpful and stood out by name. All the others were fantastic as well. The girls running the bakery....wow, so sweet and working their tails off. It's also so cool you can watch them making all the pastries. I truly cannot wait to come back. This hotel had so much to offer, we couldn't even get to everything ! lol

Montage is by far one of the most beautiful hotel resort chains! We were visiting with friends, on a road trip from California, and everything about this place was breathtaking from the stunning mountain scenery to the warm, professional service. The experience was flawless from valet to the pastry and coffee shop, where everyone was friendly and welcoming. We stopped by the bar for some cocktails, and it was absolutely luxurious beautifully decorated with a cozy indoor fire pit. This is truly a must-visit destination while vacationing in Big Sky, Montana!

Montage Big Sky offers an unforgettable experience with beautiful and spacious suites that are perfectly designed for relaxation after a day of adventure. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, making you feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout your stay. Victorio is beyond kind and professional and always makes our trip perfect in every detail. Our driver Owen was so friendly and got us to every location safe and prompt. My daughter loved Ava, she made sure she received all her fun pins for the activity book and even poured us a glass of champagne. ;) The food is exceptional, with every meal being a delicious and highlighting local ingredients and expert preparation. Beartooth Pub is delicious and casual with yummy soups and my favorite pretzel/ cheese dip. We love to bowl and play games there too. As for a fine dining experience Cortina is exceptional. The risotto is my favorite dish. Our family loves all the fun activities that are available including ski in ski out, bowling, golf/sport simulator, and swimming. Montage Big Sky backdrop has stunning mountain views, and the resort's surroundings provide a serene, awe-inspiring atmosphere, making it the perfect destination for both relaxation and adventure. We never want to leave our visits to Montage. A true 5-star experience in every way!

Can't recommend this place enough! Food and drinks are pricey but everything is worth it. The spa is an absolute must! The rooms are super nice and the staff was amazing. You definitely get what you pay for The drive in is a trek and shuttles are expensive. Recommend renting a 4 wheel drive vehicle. There isn't a shuttle to town, but they offer complimentary Cadillacs on a first come basis. The views alone make this place a must go to.

This place is gorgeous. Everywhere you look it's just perfect. The service, the food, the ski shop and proximity to the lift- alll fantastic. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service, great dining outlets, and gorgeous rooms. This ski season they will have a snow machine so you can ski in/out. 10/10 experience

Love the property and the team! Huge shoutout to Jafary on the valet team. So friendly and accommodating, he really went out of his way to make me and my family feel welcomed and special. FIVE STARS for him!

Beautiful, upscale resort. We were staying nearby at Big Sky Resort, and had heard a lot about it, so figured we'd come by to check it out. It's ski in/out to Big Sky, so you can get to it by the lifts (Southern Comfort to Sacajawea, and it's at the bottom of the Lewis & Clark). But if you decide to drive, it's about 10 miles/25 minutes away from Mountain Village (and valet parking is $26, unless you get validation). Beautiful high ceilings and views of the Spanish peaks, cozy fireplaces. They also have a gorgeous spa ($280 for a 60 minute massage), golf course, pool, jacuzzi. Lots of beautiful people. Very cool Alpenglow bar with great views, craft cocktails, appetizers, fireplaces, live music - our bartender Michael Dean was great! Plus they have an Italian restaurant (Cortina), a Wildflower Market w/ coffee, ice cream, breakfast and lunch items, and Beartooth Pub & Rec w/ bowling, darts, arcades, pub food, pizza, and desserts. They're also expecting to open the Backcast Bar & Grill in Spring 2022 - open air dining w/ BBQ and smokehouse. There are 139 guestrooms, suites and residences. They are luxury accommodations, but extremely expensive. For example, looking at availability for the last weekend in Feb./first weekend in March 2022, you could get a 1 bdrm residence for $6,500/night, a 2-bdrm for $7,500/night, a 3-bdrm for $11,000/night, a 4-bdrm for $15,000-$18,000/night, or a 5-bdrm for $20,000/night. But, if it's within your price range, it's quite lovely.

If I could leave a negative review I would. I was so excited about having a massage after a long week skiing was really looking forward a great experience , especially when you pay $350 for a massage. While I was in jacuzzi compete naked I had a gentleman come in from their own stuff on a lady locker - wandering around like it was his own bedroom. I addressed the issue at the reception and I got nothing but oh , I didn't knew about that . Not to mention that my massage was cut to 40 minutes due to the fact that my experience wasn't proper timed by the reception and the therapist was going on a lunch break. I waited from the ski base for the shuttle at -15 which was late 48 minutes to start with . Not one but 3 major issues that should be addressed for a 5 star property . The massage itself was fairly ok and the therapist tried to accommodate all he could - but just the fact that I saw a male wearing supplies in the locker room while fully naked would scare me to death to ever return.

World class service and amenities. Fantastic wine selections. Food was extremely generous, a bit on the heavy side. People working here some of nicest people I've met during my travels.

Every time we thought we were getting our bearings, we'd discover another whole zone tucked behind a ridge. Big Sky really does live up to its name. We kicked things off on what was supposed to be a "warm‑up run," but joke's on us, it was long, challenging, and honestly kind of brutal... in the best possible way. These runs are no joke and some of the longest I've ever ridden. But once the legs woke up, the rest of the day just flowed. Endless terrain, great snow, and barely any crowds. Absolute bliss. Had to pop into The Montage on the far left side of the mountain, and wow, the cocktails are phenomenal. Pricey? Yes. But you're on a mountain this bougie... what did we expect? Totally worth it. And let's talk about that gondola to tram combo up toward Lone Mountain. INSANE. The views are surreal, the exposure is wild, and the access is next‑level. Will I ever attempt the Big Couloir? Absolutely not. Do I love knowing it's there for people braver (and crazier) than me? Absolutely yes. Between the bowls, tree runs, off‑piste pockets, and wide‑open cruisers, there's truly something for everyone and somehow it never feels crowded. Big Sky has officially earned a top spot on my favorite‑resorts list. No question, I will 100% be back.

However, they seemed understaffed, which obviously isn't the workers fault - they were trying very hard to keep up with interacting with us and the other guests. For such a high-end place otherwise, with a high-end price, I think Collective Retreats should hire more workers.
