Many flavors to choose from and I appreciate the number system, so there is no confusion or line cutting. I am a very experienced ice cream eater, and this ice cream is just okay for me. I've only tried one flavor, and I'm willing to try again to change my rating since many people seem to love this place. For me, it's hard for any ice cream shop to beat Handels in Fishers. read more

Brics is a great place, don't get me wrong... however, I went in just a couple days ago with my niece. She was so excited about coming, and the girl who helped us was unbelievably disrespectful. Which is not the type of service I am used at this business. The girl, Synaia, gave me and my niece nothing but an attitude and eye rolls. I expect much more from Brics and I am highly disappointed with my visit. The ice cream is great, but the service just is not satisfactory. read more

Brics is my go-to ice cream shop all year round for many reasons including: 1. Huge variety of flavors and "creations," like the Bric House which includes 3 scoops of your choice of ice cream, chocolate chips, hot fudge, crushed Oreos, and whipped cream 2. Homemade waffle cones 3. Indoor and outdoor seating for the warmer months (and to get to pet other people's dogs while outside on the porch, of course) 4. Extremely welcoming staff and clean, friendly atmosphere 5. If eating in, they offer your ice cream in a glass with a metal spoon, instead of a foam cup and plastic one due to their dedication to being as green as possible. If eating out in Broad Ripple, stopping by Brics for dessert afterward is a must! read more

Been here twice. The cookies and cream was just ok. However, the chocolate chip cookie dough was delish! Their scoops are huge which makes me happy. I feel like I'm getting money's worth. It's located at Broad Ripple right next to the Monon. They have convenient 2 hour parking spaces in their private lot. Service is great. The people were so patient with me since I couldn't decide what to get all the time. Their patio is nice for you to people watch while eating your ice cream. read more

One of my favorite Indy ice cream spots! BRICS has hands down the friendliest service. And the ice cream doesn't disappoint either! Plus it's right on the Monon! A perfect stop on your walk or bike, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and conversation games at each table. BRICS is always a good idea! read more

Brics - I may have over ordered - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

I can't say enough good things about this place! It's my favorite ice cream stop here in Indy. The staff are always super nice, bring you water, have table topics to chat about while experiencing the chill atmosphere. They even offer soups, pies, and various parties throughout the year read more

Brics - National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day 2015 - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

One of the best ice cream spots in Indianapolis! With a variety of flavors you can't go wrong with Brics! Since moving to Indy, I have frequented Brics a number of times. From Monon Tracks to the traditional Butter Pecan all of their ice creams are creamy and rich. Along with the cookies and brownies from local bakeries, there is something for every ice cream fan. read more

The ice cream in this old rustic train stop is amazing. The customer service is also amazing and the serving sizes are spot on. If you are ever walking on the Monon you should definitely stop and get some ice cream. read more

This review is not on the ice cream. The ice cream is awesome. The review is on the staff in hopes that someone sees this and does something about it. You cannot get anyone to answer the phone here. On the super rare chance that they do answer, they have no idea if a rotating flavor is available. I'm not driving from Zville to BR for no reason and BRICS never gives me one, so okiedokie. Last time I went, this was an actual conversation: Me: "Hey - do you guys have still have half price specials on your ice cream?" Them: "No" I then step to the left so the next person can be served and see the sign that says "Half price pints and gallons from 4-6". Dude. read more

Yum yum yum! Come here to grab ice cream with a twist, or something classic! I loved the coconut almond fudge ice cream, and my friend enjoyed her birthday cake with sprinkles ice cream. I don't think mine was dairy free, but I really like the light coconut taste, and my friends tasted exactly like birthday cake (ps the sprinkles make the difference). Busy on a Sunday night, but felt like the staff wasn't trying to rush us and let us try a few flavors before deciding, they were patient and friendly! Great outdoor seating and staff is quick to clean up when you get up so others can enjoy a table, too. read more

First visit to this Broad Ripple staple was fantastic...even in December, ice cream is very necessary! Great location tucked away right by the Monon trail so you can walk or bike your way for some tasty treats. Tried the chocolate peanut butter as well as the lemon lime sorbet...perfection. Would go here again...you should, too! read more

I'll choose Brics over any ice cream place on any given day. Everything about this place captures the essence of broad ripple--cute, fun, unique, and kind of quirky. The shop isn't just your average brick and mortar store front and the ice cream isn't just your average ice cream either. It's in an old train car right on the Monon trail, so it's perfect if you want to take a stroll while eating delicious ice cream. I get the cookie dough and french silk pie flavors and it is to-die-for. Unfortunately the lines are always long, but it is so worth the wait!! Whether you're just visiting Indy for 1 day or you're a regular and go to Brics 3 times a week, it won't disappoint. read more

This is my favorite ice cream place in Indy and I'm always trying to drag people to go here with me. I found Brics on Yelp in the midst of Winter 2014 aka the year Canada moved south. I couldn't wait until the weather warmed up so I could try it. It took a very long time, but the weather finally warmed up and I got my ice cream! I spent the last few weeks walking along the Monon, eyeing Brics, and my opportunity came this past weekend when my mom was visiting. I wanted to show her what Indy has to offer so I took her on a walk along the Monon and enticed her with ice cream. I had a single scoop of chocolate peanut butter in a sugar cone. It definitely hit the spot. My mom ordered pistachio but I'm pretty sure they gave her mint chocolate chip. She didn't seem to care and ate her whole cone. Everyone else must have had the same idea as us because the place was jammed with people and plenty of their four-legged friends. The wait was really long. I don't know if I'd stop again if the wait was super long, but I will definitely stop by to treat myself after a nice, long walk. read more

BRICS IS AN INDIANAPOLIS INSTITUTION. I AM SCREAMING FOR ICE CREAM RIGHT NOW. Brics is an all-season establishment in my eyes. It's -10 degrees with windchill? Yeah, I want Brics. It's 95 with 62% humidity? This is my second time today at Brics, no big deal. You know an ice cream parlor that's packed to the brim with customers at every hour of every dang day... it's going to be good! And it absolutely is. I think I've had an actual dream about their pistachio ice cream in a waffle cone with sprinkles.... now, I'm usually not one to go to a place and choose the same thing on the menu every time. Believe me, I've tried many of their other flavors (chocolate choo choo, yellow cake, peanut butter, the list goes on), but that combo I just mentioned is top tier. I rarely stray from it these days because it's that amazing. Though you may have people in front of you when you pull your number, do it! The wait is generally minimal and the reward is a mountain of ice cream filled with happiness and joy. read more

Always awesome, great service, and I love to support local business, and I LOVE ice cream. This is also a great spot to bring your dogs when it's warm out and sit on the deck area along the Monon. read more

One of my favorite ice cream places in Indianapolis! It is the perfect place to go after dinner or a long walk (run or bike ride) along the Monon Trail. Brics - Yum - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

What to know: Bring your pup! You can order from a window on the patio that sits right on the Monon Trail. The friendly staff will even offer your dog a frozen treat to enjoy with you. What to order: I'm personally a sucker for Pistachio, but everyone I know raves about the Yellow Cake Batter. Bottom line: Brics is a charming spot for a casual date or to take out-of-town friends for some prime people-watching on the Monon. read more

I love ice cream. I love BRICS. Large selection, friendly staff, nice ambiance. Butter pecan on a waffle cone gives me heart eyes. The banana split is outstanding as well! A welcome stop when walking the Monon trail. read more

Love the ice cream here! My favorite has been the coconut almond fudge, but have never been disappointed by a flavor! All of the workers here have been very friendly. Great space inside, and lovely patio on the outside. I like to get my ice cream and walk along the monon with a friend. Also, I love how they gave away free scoops of ice cream on national ice cream day too! Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

One of my favorite spots in Broad Ripple to have a sweet treat! I'm a huge dessert person, especially when it comes to ice cream. So, I'm particular about my ice cream-- and I love Brics. The ice cream is very creamy and tasty, and also tastes very fresh as well. I love the original, Indianapolis-related names of flavors, such as Monon Tracks, which is Brics' version of moose tracks. I usually can't help but get two flavors when I'm there. For the price of one scoop, you can get two different flavors. The best part is, you should technically only be getting the size of one scoop, but the employees are pretty generous on size :) You get what you pay for. It's moderately priced for ice cream I would say - more expensive than Dairy Queen, less expensive than Coldstone. Some of my favorite flavors are the incredibly fresh and sweet strawberry ice cream and the indulgent cake batter. I can also never deny Brics' cookies & cream or cookie dough...or the peanut butter cookie dough of course. The shop is right off the Monon trail, which is extremely convenient when on a summer stroll. There is both outdoor and indoor seating, with a cute patio outside facing the Monon trail. There's also a walk-up window, so you never have to go indoors during the warmer months. It's dog-friendly outside as well, so walkers/runners can feel free to bring their pups for a sweet treat as well. It's usually pretty busy during the warmer months, but Brics has a number system that keeps the ordering process rolling along quickly. The wait time is never too long, because it's often hard to choose from so many great flavors. If you can't decide, the Brics employees are more than happy to let you try a few flavors before deciding on one. Of course, if ice cream isn't exactly what you're looking for, Brics has milkshakes, cookies, smoothies, and a number of other sweet treats. For the health-conscious visitors, Brics always has a few vegan options or a no sugar added option. My favorite part about Brics, other than the ice cream, is that each indoor table features a stack of cards. Each card has a question on it. The point of the cards are for two people on an ice cream date to ask each other questions and get to know each other better. The cards work for romantic partners, friends, family, or anyone who could use a few conversation starters. How sweet, right? Other than that, if you're dining in, Brics will give you your ice cream in a cute, vintage-looking glass dish. The entire experience really pulls together to differentiate Brics from other ice cream shops. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. Also, if you were wondering, it stands for Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station! How cute! read more

We stopped by Brics after dinner for a quick dessert. Great options! And delicious waffle cones (not sugar cones that look like waffle cones- a pet peeve of mine). The only thing that would make this place better is if it was pet friendly! One of us waited on the patio with the dog while the other went in and then we switched. Overall, great little place to stop for a cold treat- right off the monon trail! read more

Mmmm! What a great find while I was up at the lululemon store in Broad Ripple! First, it's a super cute space right on the Monon trail - I can see how this would be the perfect stop in the middle of a run, walk or bicycle ride. But - for the main feature - ICE CREAM! I was really pleased to see so many flavors...but I did wonder how much ice cream they sell and if it was worthwhile to have SO many (something like 25) flavors in the freezers all the time. I got a single scoop of triple caramel. The scoop was HUGE! I was so shocked to get that much ice cream for about $3. Another lady in front of me mentioned getting "half scoops" so you can get different flavors and I will seriously consider this the next time I stop in. The caramel was really good...it was a tiny smidge icy (hence the question about so many flavors at once), but overall it was creamy and a great treat. They also have coffee, juices and other goodies. Inside seating is perfect for the winter...the deck looks great for warmer temps. read more

the two scoops is ridiculous - its enough for 3 !!! I don't eat sweet often so I almost had a heart attack out on the back deck. luckly a doctor was running by and she saved me... THe sugar almost killed me lol... but really everything I had was amazing and the texture was just right! Topping being 60 cents can make a scoop of ice ice cream pricey so watch out for that. Waffle cones and bowls are made fresh on site. great date spot, post workout - lol, Monon delight! Love it ! read more

Brics - Vegan Oreo shake and vegan pineapple gelato-YUM! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

The best customer service in town. Need I say that it is the top rated ice cream shop in Indianapolis. Yesterday, on the 4th of July, I dropped my drivers license through the gap between the wooden deck panels outside their shop. The waitress was extremely helpful and also passed it on to one of the manager/owners who happened to be at the shop. They promised me that they will take apart the boards and retrieve my drivers license for me the next day. And just as they promised, they did that and called me to let me know that it was ready for pickup. I will definitely continue to be their loyal customer. I also paid for a few extra ice creams as a pay-it-forward. I am sure you will be happy to stop by this place for the best ice cream in town and the friendliest customer service. read more

I love this ice cream place right on the Monon. Friendly to all and to pets. Parking can be difficult to find. There's usually a line but go in and grab a number ticket then go outside or off to the side until your number is called. You can order inside or out on the patio window. Their Whistle Stop Wake Up is my favorite (espresso ice cream with dark chocolate chips) and coconut almond fudge. They have seasonal flavors too like persimmon. We couldn't decide on flavors so opted for Tour de Brics which allowed us 4 flavors... whoa it seemed like they gave us 8 scoops of ice cream lol! If one scoop is $3 and the Tour $6 I'd say we got our money's worth. Out of carrot cake, persimmon, blackberry, and blueberry vanilla, i loved the blueberry vanilla. The blackberry was a bit tart, carrot cake rich, and persimmon tropical tasting. Take your ice cream to go walk it out on the Monon or chill sitting inside or outside. read more

This is my favorite ice cream stop in Indy. They have so many flavors to choose from. The location is right on the Monon trail in Broad Ripple. Stop by after a walk, bike, run or stroll. This is some good ice cream. It is also located in a great fun part of Indy that is very fun to explore. Be prepared to wait in line here, however. This place is very well known and is always busy. When you walk in you take a number from a dispenser on the wall. The pricing here seems a bit expensive at first, as the small being around five dollars. However, a small is equivalent to around 2-3 scoops at most ice cream places. I'm one to usually get larges of things and the small here was plenty to satisfy my. I had the cookie dough and a friend of mine had the Monon tracks which looked very good. There is seating indoor and outdoor and it isn't hard to get a table even though it is always crowded. read more

Talk about a lot of flavors! I was taken here by a friend on our walk on the monon. It's a prefect spot to rest and grab a treat. I had the pistachio ice cream and it was amazing !!! The scoops are pretty big, so I'm glad I only ordered a small. Just an FYI if you go inside, you take a number and then they'll call you up to order. When we went in there wasn't any direction and after 15minites we finally figured it out. But all in all good ice cream! read more

It's ice cream, what's not to love? Ice cream is kind of like pizza for me. Even when it's bad it's still good. I will always eat it. Always. Picture it, Indianapolis January 2001, A young woman, in the prime of her youth I might add, has just gorged herself on an amazing birthday dinner. As her younger sister clears the table, the family collectively leans back with smiles on their faces and bellies full. Everyone is stuffed like a Thanksgiving Day turkey. Couldn't eat another bite. The young woman's grandmother, thanks everyone for the glowing reviews of the meal and even blushes a bit. The younger sister, from the kitchen says, "Then no ice cream for dessert?" To which the young woman quickly replies, "Oh, I'll have some." That young woman was me and that ice cream was every ice cream I have ever come across. This spot is great, right on the Monon. One scoop is enough to share. They will even do a half scoop of two different types if you just can't decide! The building is awesome and they have the coolest celling fan I have ever seen. The employees are super friendly even when it's crazy busy and the store is full of squawking kids. Great variety and they even carry Circle City Soups! read more

BRICS is by far my favorite ice cream spot in Indianapolis. Their portions are very generous, and they have tons of great flavors you wouldn't find just anywhere. My personal favorite is Chocolate Malt Supreme. Another great thing about BRICS is that they let you split up your servings, even for one scoop! I have a friend who gets one scoop, or even the smaller "bric-let" split between two flavors. The staff are very accommodating. There's outdoor and indoor seating, so it is a perfect stop year round. As an added plus, there are conversation cards on the tables which make for hilarious (and heartfelt!) conversation between new pals or longtime friends. read more
