We had the Mac & cheese bites as an appetizer. There is a burger with Mac and cheese bites on it which I heard is really good but I didn't want to have too much of a good thing. The waiter recommended an onion and jam burger even though I told him that I didn't like onions. He said there weren't any onion pieces in there so I took his word. The burger had a light, sweet and very tasty flavor. It didn't need any ketchup. The rest of the family had burgers and chicken fingers and everything was good. I was told by the students that there's nothing bad there. One student said that he was on a mission to try every item on the menu.

I saw four giant heaters ready for the wintertime. The taproom and beer garden are strictly 21+. There's a pulltab dispenser machine for your gambling pleasure. The menu looks interesting, unfortunately nothing on offer that's really English other than fish and chips which is a shame. The atmosphere just cries out for black pudding or a shepherds pie. So I'm really rating 4 1/2 on that account but definitely rounding up, as it is such a cozy feelgood place.

This bar is great, I initially walked into the place thinking it was a movie theater and wanting to see the new wreck it Ralph movie. I waited in line with what I believe to be fellow wreck it Ralph fans like myself that pregame before they saw the biggest animation movie of 2018. I should have known something was amiss when I got weird looks when I express my hopes of having sonic make another appearance in the movie to the skimpy dress girls next to me when all they did was give me weird stares afterwards. After paying the 21 and over movie ticket fee I entered the lobby of the establishment where I thought they were playing the movie's new soundtrack by Skrillex to get us pump for the feature presentation (a classy touch that I think more operations should do). When I was stopped in my tracks because of the floors being sticky which I believed was a result of a moviegoer not being able to contain there excitement and spilling there large coke (a common problem that I witness at most theaters) which I don't pass any judgement. The large crowds of people in the lobby I thought were a result of the screening rooms not being clearly labeled as I have now been looking for the movie now for 15 mins. when I finally gathered up the the courage to ask a fellow who was sucking on a usb stick for help to which he relied "this is a bar bruh". I was incredibly embarrassed by this and I quickly asked where the exit was to leave. The man was very helpful and told me I should get a trash can on the way out as it was a customer favorite. I'm now sitting at home writing this review being glad of getting a unintended experience of oxford night life but I would not recommend getting the trash cans at brick. The smell of puke and mix liquors is really stinking up my apartment and dragging it from uptown was a lot of work. read more

I've been here in oxford a few times. As a Junior, I can appreciate 90s and the occasional drunk weekend where you decide this bar is a good idea, but god forbid you piss of someone. I personally forgot an ID that said I was a student here (GOD MOTHERFUCKING FORBID I SWITCH MY WALLET) and as someone who turned 21 in December, I actually had to get the police to show up before I got into this bar. I just think its HILARIOUS how these dumb freshman hoes can get in by merely existing but with a real, 21 ID and 4 different forms of ID (including my PILOT LICENSE) I couldn't get access to this stupid place without a Miami ID. Thanks Brick, I guess this means nothing since trashy hoes will continue to jizz all over your dance floor for a million dollar watered down single well. GOOD LUCK if you ever think, yeah, lets go to brick tonight, LOL. read more

If I had a dollar for every hour that I spent at First Run (it'll always be First Fun to me) then I'd be more ahead on my student loans. :) I gave it two stars because while I was a huge fan in college, if you're not between 18-23 then you're out of place. The bouncers turn over like crazy so the guy at the door might have just started a couple of days ago. Overall the bouncers and bartenders aren't trained to deal with issues and instead become indignant. If you're looking for a dive that's crowded, fun and lively then Brick Street is a good spot. If you're past your college years and have no interest in drunk underage kids then it's best to steer clear. read more

Most egotistical bar. A required cover charge at the door to enter an "exclusive" rats nest of a bar which serves the same skunk beer at the same price as every other bar in the area. The difference is every other bar doesn't make you pay to enter and pay again to drink. Ridiculous nonsense of a policy. Loud, obnoxious, and dirty with frat and sorority losers everywhere. The door is ran by intitled sorority sisters who have never heard the word "no" in their life. Avoid this bar at all costs. Every other bar may card you and give you ludicrous attitude about your bag or purse but atleast you don't have to pay a cover. read more

This is the worst bar in Oxford. It is just a festival of drunk underage idiots. They must break so many laws at the this establishment, yet still seem to be appealing to most. They will serve anyone with a piece of paper that says they are 21 regardless if it is true or not. The floor is also very sticky, and the place always seems to have a musty smell lingering. I personally have been a fan of Brick for many years. I used to go as a freshman and now I am a senior. I recently heard the news that Will Weissman only gives VIP passes to girls that show him their titties. I think this is inappropriate and vaguely illegal. Will Weissman is a pedophile considering the fact that he is 53 years old and all the girls who show him their titties for VIP are 18 or under. I think the cops should be notified. Thanks! read more

A crowded, filthy, vomit-inducing mess of a bar that is a public nuisance. It should be cited for health code violations and serving alcohol to minors. It is an embarassment that Uptown has a bar as run-down and disgusting as this one as its centerpiece.
