My son always takes me to the most interesting places. We were here to pick up prescriptions/photos at CVS across the street...which weren't ready. I was anxious to get on the road ahead of the blizzard but here we are. From the first moment when we were greeted by regulars and I raised eyebrows by asking for a glass for my PBR, I knew I was among friends. Regulars had all brought in food and we were warmly invited to partake. Everything from home baked cookies to Arby's! And a world class collection of sports memorabilia. Really world class. I wish this was in my hood. But I was told it is often this way during games, so I will be bringing my new friend, who does live nearby. I used to think this was a great home town bar. But the owners grandson was in the bar and thought it was okay to keep using the N word. Which is not okay at all. Guess he felt it was safe to use a slur in a family owned place. Bit it even made feel uncomfortable when he said it and it wasn't addressed for one and for two considering that's part of the surrounding community. These critics are not the typical type of patrons we regulars want to bring us down. I've been going to Vinces for roughly 50 years day time night time and never have I seen a fight. Some people aren't looking for the neighborhood atmosphere but rather a place to get their last drink for drunkenness then complain they have to leave at closing time. There are a few other joints in our friendly town that cater to the misfits of nature and then see if you complain about Vinnies. Come in during the daylight hours at 11:am and join our gang of friends and the very talented LITTLE BIT that greets you with a big smile. Vince's! The Worst Bar in Town! If you're actually looking for "just one more", Vince's is the place to go. They will absolutely serve you after hours, but beware, they will make you chug your drink within five minutes of setting it down and then push you out the door to your car so you can then drive home or to White Castle. Every time I've gone here the place has just cleared out because there was a bar fight earlier. It often smells like sewage. There is a smoking patio. Nobody you want to see is here. There is often a line at the end of the bar, protocol is to get in the line because you can only order drinks from the end of the bar? Even when sparsely populated, getting a drink here can take a long time unless you personally know the bartender. And now for the good: When you're wasted the neon palm trees are like a beacon of insobriety. Drinks are like a dollar, maybe two. Did I mention you can get a drink after two? All I can ask for in a whole in the wall bar drinks are cheap service is average and that is all you look for in one of these bars ! If you are looking for a quick cheap stop before a night out go here. Like I said I give 5 stars due to drink prices... I got top shelf for great amount. So, in full disclosure, I was a part of Christine M.'s group of six. I echo her sentiments. This place reminded me of every smalltown bar back home-sports and alcohol paraphernalia on the walls, your token four middle aged men at the end of the bar, a small selection on tap (Sam Adams, Yeunling, and maybe 2 others, certainly a Bud/Miller Lite), free popcorn, and some pool tables. The only other thing I would mention, of course, is the bathroom. The women's restroom is more or less directly off of the main bar area, and there is no main door, fair enough, there were doors on the stalls what more do you need, but. there was...carpet. That's right, carpet on the floor of a public restroom...in.a.bar. O, and a pink commode. [I'm told the men's restroom was outfit with entertaining photos.] Solid choice for a little day drinking on a holiday with friends. read more

A laid back family owned bar with pool tables and a brand new deck out back. Perfect for the summer time! They also have live music and food trucks that pull right up to the deck! The prices are the lowest around and they have a good craft beer selection considering it's just small town bar. You can play music right from your phone at your table. I know little to nothing about this place or the neighborhood it's in, in general, so this review can focus only on what happened for us in the confines of the bar. Not a terrible thing, but I lack any larger context to evaluate Vince's. A group of 6 friends and I hit Vinces' Other Place (is there an original?) on Labor Day after a lunch party. Mid-day drinking on a day off sounded decent. Though I might not head back to Vince's any time soon because it's a bit out of my way, we had fun, could hear each other talk (rare in many bars any more), and had reasonable drinks. Win. The bar felt a lot like someone's basement full of sports memorabilia, mostly baseball. Not my style, but it wasn't pretentious, so that was nice. As I said, the drinks were cheap, the company was good, and for an off the wall choice, this was a good time. Food choices looked sparse and the dart board was covered by a punching machine (poor choice there). A pool table and some nudie lady pictures in the men's bathroom (so I heard) rounded out the 'decor', but with good friends and some drinks, this didn't really matter.
