Good craft beer selection.
Rick C.

What I liked: - good selection of tap beers on tap. In addition to the usual Texas beers found anywhere, they had Stone IPA on tap and it tasted fresh. - nice outdoors patio to enjoy a beverage. The pizza was not great.

The Pig & Fig Pizza

Adorable small place serving wood fire pizzas with a great selection of wines and beers. Happy hour from 5 to 7. Specialty sodas also available. This is not your normal pizza place. You can build your own traditional pie or try one of their specialty pizzas like the Fig & Pig or the Thai chicken. Great service. Delicious!

What a fantastic evening learning about, and tasting some fantastic wines. Brick and Brews is a casual family friendly neighborhood pizza place with an above average selection of wine and craft beers. Service was fantastic. A must try for foodies near Magnolia and the Woodlands. Yum-yum!!!

Home Run

It was pretty good pizza. I love the chew of the crust, and the char was nice on some of the slices (and pretty intense on some others). I love to support any local business, so we will be back again to try some other combinations. The fig and pig and home run were good! I will try the margarita pizza next time. If you enjoy beer, they have so many on tap! I wish they offered Diet Coke (or any diet soda!), though. (Straws would also be awesome!) I did feel like paying $70 for two pizzas, two small salads, and two iced teas was a little exorbitant, but I guess that is to be expected going out to eat now.

Charcuterie Board for 2

I really wanted to review Brick & Brews higher than 3 stars because the pizza was very good & the place has a very nice ambiance, but in the end I landed on a 3 out of 5 star review for the following reasons. The restaurant is really best set up to serve parties no larger than 4 due to building size & furniture. My party of 9 was directed to outdoor seating that wasn't ready for guests. We had to wait for the tables to be wiped down & dried due to leftover rain from morning showers when arrived for dinner. Also, temps dropped off into the 40s, so we were huddled around gas lamp heaters for warmth. It's not a negative, it just is what it is & it's something patrons should know going in. Another observation is that Brick & Brews is essentially a serve yourself restaurant. Ordering for our outdoor table for 9 was done by going inside to a computer at the bar. Not a big deal, but servers weren't coming by during the meal. A manager/owner looking person made a couple of appearances, but that's it. No drink refills were offered at any point. Our charcuterie board appetizer came with 2 types of salami -- regular & peppered. Turns out both types were pretty spicy, so my wife & kids gave it 2 thumbs down. The biggest negative for me was the bathroom situation. They only have a single unisex toilet for the whole place. While there, every person in our party that needed the restroom facilities had to wait. The food was high quality enough I would go back in a heartbeat with a smaller party, but I probably won't try to meet friends there again anytime soon. Favorite entrees from our visit were the "homerun" pizza & the "fig & pig" pizza. Gluten free crust options available.

Why 4 stars? Because the pizza is delicious, it's just hard to get. --- --- --- I bookmarked Brick and Brews long ago and have always wanted to try it. The thing is, when I attempted to do this months ago, no one would ever answer the phone for a pick-up order. I tried multiple times on multiple different days and had no luck. Fast forward a couple months and I was talking to someone who said they loved this place and I mentioned my issue. They said that they never have a problem with that, so I assumed maybe I just had some bad luck. Unfortunately when we attempted to do so many months later, the phone still rings until it just hangs up. My wife had to run to HEB anyway, which is right across the street, so she went in here to order in-person, did her grocery shopping, and then came back. Unfortunately the original quoted time was nowhere near what it ended up taking. So, with what I've written so far, it's hard to understand my rating is 4-stars. I do want to say this in their defense: according to my wife who saw the business first-hand, it's a very small operation. According to her view point, it may literally be a mom, dad and their two kids working here *end of list.* I'd imagine, if that's the case, they don't have the ability to take phone orders. But if that is true, it would be helpful to have a recording that says, "we don't accept pick-up orders." Because it's pretty annoying to call several times and never speak to someone. But now, let's talk about the best part of this experience: the pizza itself. It's amazing. Truly. Which is why it's such a shame that it's so inconvenient to order. We went with the Pig and the Fig, and the BBQ Beef Brisket. Both of these were divine. Truthfully, I was barely hungry when my wife arrived home with the pizza. And then I ate like 10 slices because I couldn't stop. This is definitely one of the best eateries in the area. But this is my plea: please answer your phone!

You get your choice of sides and tater tots are a yummy option. The coleslaw is crunchy and creamy and the fish is to die for, you get three big giant battered white fish filets and it's plenty for two or three depending on your appetite. The shrimp cocktail sauce reminds me of my all time favorite Pete's Fish-n-Chips sauce back home (an institution in Phoenix) now I wish Woodson's had some fried shrimp too. We will be back again next week if we don't make it to our church fish fry!

I initially thought it was related to the Fielding's restaurants in the Woodlands area but it has no relation. It's basically a sports bar with a kitchen, but apparently a big kitchen because they have a good size menu of burgers, sandwiches, comfort food, seafood, Italian food, salads, apps, pricy desserts, egg rolls, mac and cheeses, wings, and a healthy list of draft beers. I came in for the burger since I had read it was formerly a tri-blend of my 3 fav combinations of beef on a burger: chuck, brisket and short rib. I'm not sure if they're still doing the blended beef because the patty didn't taste like any previously blended burgers I've had before. When I ordered the burger it came out to my table about 4 minutes later. Not sure how they can pull this off for a patty that's 1/2 lb. At home it takes me at least 8 minutes. I went with the Texan specialty burger. This burger wasn't that good and was one that tasted best upon first bite, then progressively got worse as you eat more of it. I didn't finish it and eventually peeled off a lot of ingredients and bun by the end. They have a nice atmosphere, but I would try another menu item next time. I will likely visit the location closer to my house in Spring next time.

4.5 stars overall!…read more This is the new spot! Hitting their one year anniversary today, I can highly recommend moose and oak! The decor/setup provides a slightly upscale, but still casual, sports bar feel that's family friendly. There are dart boards and various games surrounding the tables but it's all separated appropriately. Tbh this would be a perfect place to watch your sport of choice! The lineup: SOFT SERVE MARGARITA: you read that right & The reason we came here (thanks Instagram!) we got strawberry and it was everything and more I needed it to be. Will be back for this alone. TRUST. although..... I feel like it should've completely filled the glass like it does in the advertisement $9.99 a piece! 100/10 Appetizer: fried pickles spears - YALL. I am soooo picky about fried pickles and these are the best I've had. The pickles were good, crunchy, not overly oily, and stayed together! 12/10 Pickle flatbread: apparently I felt in a pickle escapade mood. Surpringly not over pickly and delicious. I would absolutely get this again. The crust was soft and cheese was melty! 9/10 Fish tacos: average. The chipotle sauce was a bit spicy. Don't know that I would get these again. 5/10 Fries I could skip, not my fave. The street corn was so good, though I wouldn't consider it traditional &! A bit heavy on the red onion, but I enjoyed it! Their sauces were all so good! The prices were fair & I feel like the amount I paid was relative to what I had, so kudos to management for that! Last but certainly not least, Prestyn, our server was great and hilarious. We truly enjoyed her & her jokes! PS - Girl, you and your name are beautiful! The food was semi-slow to come out, but thankfully we weren't in a hurry.

They added a wall with pool tables since it changed owners. Ordered the blueberry lemon drop, it was 9/10 and would have been 10/10 but had no sugar rim... maybe I need to request it? Usually lemon drops come with but I dunno. Also ordered grilled shrimp tacos with cheese only. They came out with only shrimp, waitress brought out a side of cheese when I asked. Three shrimp to a taco, one more would have seemed more appropriate. But they were yummy. Fries were great, some of the best sports bar fries I've had. I enjoyed my food and drink and woke return, even though they still have some kinks to work out.

First, the positives because there were quite a few. Our waitress was excellent -- friendly, fast, attentive, and efficient without hovering. The atmosphere was interesting and honestly pretty fun. The place feels like a blend of Irish pub, sports bar, and live music venue. There were signs for trivia nights, karaoke, and live bands, so I can absolutely see this being a fun local hangout spot in the evenings. The food itself also tasted good across the board. My friend enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, another had avocado toast with crispy potatoes, and both were happy with their meals. Unfortunately, my crab Benedict was where things went sideways. Flavor-wise, it was actually delicious, which somehow made the disappointment worse. For $20, I expected actual crab cakes. Instead, the "crab cakes" were extremely tiny, thin little patties that looked more like miniature pancakes with crab mixed in. The English muffin was overcooked and completely overpowered the crab flavor to the point that I had to take everything apart just to taste the seafood. For perspective, I had bariatric surgery years ago and usually cannot finish a full restaurant meal unless I specifically order from the kids menu. I finished this entire plate easily and was hungry again shortly afterward. The portion size simply did not match the price. I didn't complain because the waitress truly did nothing wrong and the kitchen execution itself tasted good -- it just felt wildly overpriced for what was served. I would absolutely come back to try other menu items or visit during one of their entertainment nights, but I would never order the crab Benedict again unless the portion and presentation changed significantly. Overall: great service, fun atmosphere, tasty food, but the crab Benedict was one of the most underwhelming $20 brunch plates I've seen in a long time.
