I was very impressed with their service. They were quick to respond to both texts and calls, and their communication throughout the process was excellent. The service was fast and efficient; my project was completed within a week, and the welding itself only took a few hours. read more

What a find! I have employed Brian's Welding for two projects at my home, both a little on the eccentric side. The first was a custom made gate that was a copy of one that I had seen on a brownstone in New York, a relief of the Man in the Moon with a rocket projectile stuck in his cheek. Not a simple thing, but Brian arranged for an artistic metal shop to mold, cast and stain the piece. That was probably ten years ago now. I smile every day when I look at it. Recently I called upon them again to build a steel shelving unit in my garden on which to place large cymbidium orchid planters for display and shelter. Super happy with that job too. I also must say a word about the company culture. Everyone who I have met there is uniformly, courteous, informative, helpful and downright friendly. Everyone appears to be happy to be there. Brian and Diane definitely know that any business is all about the people in it. They have created a wonderful company with wonderful employees. read more

I definitely would recommend this business. I called the business and Diana answered right away. I followed up with her with an email and she set an appointment. All seemed fairly straight-forth. During my appointment with Brian, I worked with him to design a pedestrian gate for my home. I had a rough vision of the gate's design and Brian sketched the design for me and helped to make a great finished product. The quote from Diana came back in-line with my budget. I visited the welding facility during the initial mock-up of the gate and met some of the other members of the business. Everyone I met were so nice. Brian's shop is very cool. The work they do is amazing. Brian is very friendly, personable and is fun to work with. The gate install team were great and worked with professionalism. My new gate is absolutely beautiful. read more

In 2004 we had work done on our yard and we used Brian's welding for the two gates, which looked beautiful. Fast forward to 2022 and the finish is still fine but I wanted to brighten it up a bit. They came out and showed me the color that they recommended in the initial painting (2004) and it was just what I was looking for. Similar enough to the original color but so much more vibrant. They came removed the gates with care and took them back to be powder coated. They then reinstalled them a few weeks later and I could not be more happy. So wonderful to deal with a business that still has the same employees as when the original work was done. read more

I hired Brian's Welding to complete my new fence with wrought iron. When I met with Brian I was adamant that I wanted my wrought iron to be different and not look like many of the other typical wrought iron fences. Brian did not disappoint. I am extremely happy with quality, professionalism and service from the entire team @ Brian's welding. The job was finished on time with no surprises. We couldn't be happier with the end result. My advice, if you are investing in your home don't go to cheap. The quality of the work always makes a big difference and will payoff in the end. Best of luck to you with your project ! read more

Brian and his crew were all very friendly and helpful. Brian first stopped by our house to show us different colors and samples of iron work. On site, he quickly sketched a design and modified it based on our feedback. He's very creative and artistic and renders beautiful designs in a matter of minutes. This made it very easy to quickly decide what we wanted for a custom gate. His crew then came over with the gate to show us what it would look like installed and where it would be attached (height and depth), which direction it would swing open, the color, and detailed elements to be added. It was very helpful to see it temporarily installed before making final decisions on these details. The entire process from beginning to end was very smooth. And the end product is a very beautiful and hardy gate that was nicely installed. read more

We have a big front yard and two very active little kids. We invited Brian to do an estimate how much it will cost to do two gates and fence in front of our yard. He explained everything that needs to be done and said he will send us an estimate. I waited a week. After that I called his receptionist and she said she will let Brian know. He didn't reply. Brian was here Tuesday 4/18. I called Tuesday 4/25. I tried calling again several times on Thursday 4/27 and Friday 4/28. Either the receptionist recognized my number and didn't want to talk to me because she didn't have an answer or that is how they work. She didn't call me back either after I left her a message Thursday. Today, Sunday, 4/30 I received an email from Brian that he cannot do the project because he has not done such a wide gate before. He wasted 12 days of our time when we could find others and have already an estimate. Didn't he know when looking at our project that it will be a wide gate or at least he could of said NO the next day or within a few days. Therefore, I do not recommend this Business to anyone. When you cannot rely on a business that is not a good business. read more

We put in a new fence with 2 gates for our Victorian home located in the historic old quad in Santa Clara. Brian was able to adapt to the architecture of our house and the creative process was actually fun! We visited Brian at his facility in San Jose. He showed us a ton of samples and then came out to our house to do measurements and on the fly drew out some options until we hit exactly what we wanted in our price range. When his crew came out they staged the base fence so I could see exactly what it would look like and made a few modifications that I'm sure added time/difficulty but never saw an increase in the original estimate. His crew is just about the most courteous and focused team we've ever worked with. In short, Brian runs a great outfit, highly recommend him and his team read more

There is a reason they have 59, 5 star reviews! I have recently renovated my house and spent plenty of time dealing contractor's/handy men and everyone in between. Brian and his team are a cut WAY above the rest. They are responsive and respectful, show up on time and do the work in the time they estimate. They are a little more expensive than other's, but their quality work is way above everyone else. They don't cut corners and don't try and sell you on extras ( I hate that the most ). Brian is honest, upfront and friendly. He made the whole process as easy as possible while including me in every step of the process the ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. He came out to my house and drew up a sketch on the spot that was amazing and my gate looked almost identical to it in the end, with the few alterations my wife and I picked later in the process. They have been in business a long time and it shows. The majority of the crew has more than 10 years with the company, and they act like a family. They all love the work they do from the interactions I had with them. That meant a lot to me, I don't want someone hiring last minute help who doesn't care about the business and just slapping work together ( which I have seen in my home with other contractors ). One more note about quality, you get what you pay for. Yes Brians gates are a little bit more but I will never have to replace them and they added value to my home. But with Brian, you get great quality and great service! I wish they were paying me for this but they aren't. I really liked the whole experience so much I couldn't be happier! read more

I called Brian's Welding to have our iron gate repaired. The staff was quick in returning my call and have the work scheduled ASAP. Brian came out and fixed the gate with no problems. Brian and his team just installed my trash/garbage bin and the results are just amazing. He does the most beautiful work. He turns practical, utilitarian necessities, like garbage receptacles, into works of art. He used dark wood and welded metal to create a bin that is so easy to access. No more balancing a heavy trash lid, while I hurl big bags into my old bin. Brian also created our backyard gate with the same wood, metal, dark chocolate combination. I knew he'd do a beautiful job as our gate is amazing, and has endured the elements well over the last few years. I highly recommend Brian's welding and would use him for any household job. He will sit with you to understand your vision. Then he will draw a sketch to see if it fits your ideal. He will modify it according to your wishes. Then he comes out and measures the area. He does the work in his shop and then has his team come and install the finished product. His prices are reasonable and fair as I compared dozens of other companies' prices when I was looking to have my gate done. read more

I called several welding companies to come over to my house and weld 6 chairs. Brian was by far the most accommodating and had prices that were reasonable. Recently wasted months waiting for Brian's Welding. We needed a nice driveway/entry gate and it is a sizable project. Brian came out and looked at the job and agreed to help us, and said he would send design ideas and a proposal. After literally a month had passed and getting nothing by email, I spoke with Brian's office manager/wife at least three times on the phone. She assured me for over three months that Brian's email was coming soon with concepts and budgets. Never got that proposal from Brian, not even a polite message explaining their silence, just empty promises. Coincidentally, Brian has an Angie's review describing how he and him and his office manager/wife have done the same thing to people before. PS I read Brian's untrue response to a negative review by my friend who I am helping and who has had many projects over the years with great contractors. Brian first "owns" the negative review and then back tracks and personally trashes my grieving friend. I was shocked at Brian's unprofessional comments in a public forum, for one reason because I was part of that meeting and thought it went well. We met with Brian for 45 minutes and Brian was 100% in sales mode and seemed eager for the job. My friend had lost his son a couple of weeks earlier, but I remember him as professional in the meeting. I can't believe Brian is now making stuff up and criticizing my friend for responding to passing neighbors who had given condolences. What a cheap shot! It was at most a minute or two and I barely even remember it because the rest of us kept talking. If Brian honestly wanted to pass on the job for that or any other reason, why didn't he just say so politely then, or ever? Instead, Brian and his wife kept the job in their backlog by promising a proposal, and my friend lost months in fixing his place up for his son's Celebration of Life. Rather than apologizing, Brian insults and blames my friend. For what, exactly? I guess the tip off should have been that Brian quotes JFK at the bottom of his emails about having high standards towards others! LOL! There are other and better companies out there, search for them! read more

Had an appointment on February 19, 2022 to see about replacing our chain link fence with something nicer. Diana at Brian's Welding said Brian would be out to look things over at noon. It is now March 26, 2022 and I have not heard word one. Very disappointed. read more

Outstanding job by Brian and his team. Beautiful side-yard gate made and installed, very happy with everything, great quality work.

Brian was recommended to me by a home-builder friend but I was waited and waited to move forward and have a railing made for my '20's bungalow because I was convinced I would end up with something that didn't blend with my house. Well, Brian's crew just installed my railing and I am thrilled with how it turned out. For the design, Brian came to my home, got a feel for what I was looking for and sketched something out. After seeing samples at his shop, I could tell his workmanship is very high quality and that he could create the perfect railing for a small space. Brian is an exceptionally nice guy, great at understanding what the customer is looking for. His workers were very professional too. read more

If you are looking for a custom gate, then you've come to the right place. You are in luck that you've found Brian's Welding! Custom!? Well, it sounds expensive but it is not true! We've found that Brian's prices are comparable to your standard cookie-cutter fencing/gate companies. Brian is not just an awesome welding/gate contractor, he is a talented artist! Brian sketched out the design of our gate within minutes of listening to what we've envisioned. He then walked us through the material selections, scheduling, installation and timeline of the entire process. Everything was well organized and on scheduled as promised. Karl, the engineer/technician who assisted us with the install, provided the best customer and follow up service when we had a mechanical issue. We opted for a modern gate to match our existing fence and the gate came out beautiful! We can't say enough good things about the professionalism, expertise, stellar customer service from Brian and his crew. We would highly recommend their services to anyone. Warning - I'm OCD. I fuss over every detail and I'm very picky. I contacted Brian when we decided we wanted to take our remodel up a notch and replace our double gate. It was a redwood gate that didn't fit into the design we were using. Brian was very friendly and came out and made some very good recommendations. We worked out a great design, metal and wood gate/fence panel/house number using ornate branch/leaf design . The install went smoothly. So what do we think? Well the gate (and matching fence & house #) look stunning. The gate works perfectly. The 2 parts fit closely and you get that solid click when it closes that screams high end quality. We get positive comments from just about everyone that sees them. Bottom line is Brian is as knowledgeable and friendly as you'll get. His shop produces metalwork second to none. It isn't free, but well worth it for the quality, professionalism, and friendliness. This is as good as it gets. 8/2015 About 6 months ago I had Brian out again to make some metalwork for our interior stairs. Same personable service, excellent design, and a truly professional staff from start to the final install. read more

I had a tiny little job, which was to repair an antique brass fixture, broken in two pieces, brought from Italy. I was pretty worried that the brittle and old metal alloy would be hard to make like new. But Brian did better than new... he did a fantastic weld which could not be detected from the front, and on the back side did a very nice job of grinding and polishing just for the sake of nice detail. The shop shows attention to design and detail and good feng shui. He showed me some of his gate designs in progress, and I am probably going to use him to replace our front yard gate, based on this small job, and the very nice gate designs I saw in progress at his shop. Highly recommended. These guys know their stuff. read more

I had just put in new stairs during a house remodel and needed a new railing. I was referred to Brian's from a stair contractor and was told that I might need to wait awhile to get an estimate. I called and left a message and was surprised how fast Brian showed up. Brian grew up in my neighborhood so we talked about all the folks we knew and then I showed him a few ideas I had and photos of what I liked. I originally wanted a formal railing since that is more in line with my homes style, but on this project I wanted something more whimsical, fun and organic. Before I knew it, he drew out a design that had me excited. The process took a while but we were still finishing up our stairs and having the treads stained so it all worked out fine. The guys came over to rough fit the railing and that was so much fun to see in process. Very exciting! A few weeks later it was ready to install. It looks fantastic! Brian even managed to fit in a metal bird within the design. That bird gets more comments than anything else. Our postman loved it so much he took photos of the railing and bird. It was everything I wanted and it adds such great fun to our formal home. Brian is a real pro and artist. I highly recommend him and his staff. read more

Needed a driveway gate reinstalled after it was removed due to construction work. I needed the work done quickly to secure the property and Diana at the office was extremely helpful and returned emails and phones call promptly. Long story short, spoke to the owner Brian and explained the problem. We are so happy with Brian's Welding. They built an absolutely beautiful gate and fence for our new pool enclosure. After meeting with Adam from Brian's Welding to go over the project, Adam quickly had a perfect design for us with several options to select from. Adam is a true artist when it comes to design. We opted for the custom gate and fence, and we could not be happier. Adam had us come down to the welding yard and took us all around the yard showing us how the fences and gates are put together, showed us samples of other fences, and all the accessories that can be added to the fence and gate. I had no idea there were so many options and so many powder coatings to choose from. If you have an opportunity to visit the yard, I highly recommend it. It will give you a greater appreciation for the work involved in building your project. After we approved the design, Brian's Welding got to work on building the fence and gate. Adam was very good about keeping us advised on the projects' status. Adam was quick to answer any emails I sent him, was always on time to scheduled appointments, and was a true professional. The installers did a fabulous job. They came out multiple times to ensure the fence and gate would fit perfectly and always did a great cleanup job. After the fence and gate were installed, they wiped down the entire fence so it looked absolutely beautiful. I never know rod iron could look so beautiful. We just had Karl, from Brian's Welding, replace our old, non-functioning gate motor, and the outcome is wonderful! The whole process, from the first call, to Karl's first visit to evaluate the old motor (which he did more than once, and didn't charge us for), to giving us estimates, to his (and Diane's) prompt communications via email, to installation, to showing us how the gate works, was one of the easiest and smoothest processes we've had with a home business in a long time, maybe ever.
