She was so easy to understand considering I am deaf. Reception area was very nice and welcoming too. I then met with Jessica who took the time to get to know me by asking how I ended up in her office and from there she was able to tell me about the Lace program along with cost and benefit. There was no pressure to purchase. The time so to her showed me how much she cares about helping people because she took the time to check my hearing aids and noticed that I was due for an adjustment and I had been noticing some struggles with hearing of late too. I consented to her making some recommended changes that I am trying to adapt now and so grateful to her for her time and expertise. This is a great office and I look forward to meeting with them again in the future.

Other ophthalmologists only offered prescriptions for stronger eyeglass lenses and only made passing remarks about early signs of cataract growth. The stronger eyeglasses offered no improvement in my distance vision. Eventually, I could no longer read street name signs while driving. In addition, I barely passed my DMV eye test (yes, even with my glasses!). Luckily, Dr. David Simon opened his office in Napa. After, a series of office visits, eye examinations, and listening to my accounts of diminishing distance vision, Dr. Simon scheduled my lens replacement surgery. Immediately, I knew I was in good hands because Dr. Simon offers thorough, comprehensive eye exams and eye tests using the latest optical equipment. He always maintains a hands-on approach in fulfilling his patient's needs. I'm still amazed at the improvement in my distance vision! By the way, please dismiss any anxiety you may have regarding pain during cataract surgery. Yes, you are awake during the surgery, BUT, in my both-eyes experience, there wasn't even a hint of discomfort. Thanks again, Dr. Simon, for giving me back my eyesight!

He is an excellent and caring provider, explaining all the options and giving his expert opinion. The measurements he obtained, not only for my significantly bad myopia (-13 diopters) and near vision, but also for my astigmatism, were perfect as I can now see all distances without contacts or glasses of any kind. After 61 years without being able to see without them, I am amazed and very happy. The surgeries proceeded exactly as he had explained they would, and I really appreciated being able to do them only one day apart so I had only the one week of recovery rather than two. I give him very high marks!!

Dr. Henderson was my first experience with acupuncture, after a recommendation from my doctor to…read moretry it out for my back pain. At first, I was impressed with the communication and organization from John at the front desk, and my first few treatments left me with great results. I left his office feeling physically and mentally better than before. However, there were moments that felt off. At my initial consultation, the doctor asked about the source of my pain which is primarily neck and shoulders. I told him I had x-rays done years ago and that doctor told me I had dextroscoliosis of the thoracic spine. "You mean cervical spine?" Dr. Henderson replied. I wasn't sure how to respond to him correcting my own diagnosis, so I said sure and brushed it off. At another appointment, I mentioned that I was experiencing pain in my lower back. So, he put the electric stimulation pads on my legs instead of my arms. From the start, I was very sensitive to the estim and required a good amount of aloe on the skin and a low setting on the machine. When he put the pads on my legs, they burned pretty badly. I spoke up about this, since he told me to always speak up when something hurts and I shouldn't sit through the session in pain. He replied that shaving the legs can make them more sensitive to the estim and, quote, "It's not my fault you shaved your legs before coming here." I was never told not to shave my legs and his tone was rather rude. At the next appointment, I asked for the pads on the legs because it did help my low back pain. Once again, the pads itched/burned so he turned the estim down and put on aloe. Before leaving the room, he asked if I was comfortable. I said that my legs still burned. He looked at me and said, "....AND?" with attitude. I was not sure how to respond. He angrily said, "Do you want me to shut the whole thing off?? Do you want me to move the pads? What do you want me to do?" Unsure how to respond to his anger, I said to move the pads. He left the room and I felt so disrespected. Pain continued in my legs and in one of the needles in my right hand. But I decided I would rather sit through the pain than deal with his attitude again. That was when I decided I cannot see a doctor who does not have good bedside manner and does not make me feel calm in that environment. I've been struggling with pain in my right hand ever since my last appointment. I wish I never went to this office and I feel nervous to ever try acupuncture again. Overall negative experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
