Everyone else who was there during our stay seemed to be a regular. Beach has a population of about 995 currently so this all makes sense. They quickly found a booth for us in the back and we started getting to know them. My husband had heard of walleye (fish) before so he was excited to see it on a menu. Apparently it's very common in this part of the US. The steak sounded good to me so I enjoyed a steak and a beer. The only tough part was leaving because the conversation had started flowing and our little guy was enjoying walking/crawling around an unoccupied part of the restaurant.

My girlfriend has been continously sexually harassed by employees at this establishment, and after…read morementioning it to any of the women around medora, they have all said "oh it was Johnson wasn't it? He makes me uncomfortable too" or "he flirts with every woman constantly" or "hes such a creep", or some variation of finding him to be a sex pest. When we spoke to the manager about it, they were great, and passed things along to the owner. Unfortunately when we spoke to the owner, we found her to be very dismissive and not taking sexual harassment as seriously as she should. She went on about how shes not hard to get ahold but she is in fact hard to get ahold of directly if you dont have a personal in, as no email, phone number, or direct contact information is listed anywhere, only the stores contact info, and anyone can reasonably understand why someone who has been sexually harassed isn't going to call the store for fear of their harasser picking up the phone. The owner also was not great about setting up a meeting. We agreed to meet 30 minuets after we began texting but she did not provide a meeting location until just moments before we were supposee to meet, getting frustrated with us after we were, understandably, running late due to the lack of knowing where we were going. There was a total lack of empathy towards our experince. The same employee also insulted me to my face, and treats me with disrespect every time I'm in the store. Unfortunately there is no competition as far as gas stations go unless you go to belfield, something the owner seemed smug about, and when we mentioned other girls being uncomfortable with him, particularly with him asking if their into black guys, her response was "he's allowed to ask that". There was a strong vibe that seemed like she thought we should just deal with the harassment. The manager assured us he would treat me with respect going forward, but had said "won't flirt with girls who belong to someone else", which reads as very dehumanizing and disrespectful towards women, which is unfortunate considering the owner is a woman. Another girl i know who has had similar issues has already reached out to the owner, yet she was adamant that we were the only ones, the lying was something i found to be disrespectful. Frankly I find this behavior disgusting, and i hope they find a good HR person to keep employees in line and respectful, and i hope the owner tries to be more empathetic towards women experincing uncomfortable situations with her employees and understands how serious an employee insulting a costumer is. I would caution women from going into this store alone. I feel horrible for the other women who work at this establishment. I was very hopeful appropriate action will be taken, and i expect going forward to be treated with respect, but at least for now, its suffice to say that I am disappointed with everyone except the manager who I spoke to. It's also worth noting that the owner had said there are two sides to every story, however in the case of harassment, making women feel uncomfortable, and insulting costumers, there is only one side. A woman should never have to feel the way my partner felt, and a customer should never have their looks insulted while making a purchase. To try to defend that behavior is insanity.

I got a small cup of huckleberry ice cream and it was delicious and refreshing! We were able to find parking easily. They have tables and chairs outside to enjoy your ice cream at. The inside has gifts if you are in the mood for shopping. They had a large selection of flavors of ice cream to choose from! Highly recommend!

We stopped by this shopping locale just minutes away from the entrance to the park. Outside there is a window where one could watch the taffy machine that stretches and pulls the candy mass. Inside the shop and to the left is another window and we could watch employees operate the candy wrapping machine. I'm not really fond of taffy but I always look for my favorite at a candy shop... Milk Chocolate Peanut Clusters. I am fortunate that I'm not allergic to peanuts because I love these crunchy, salty delicious treats. I made my way to the counter to look for my favorite... I purchased two pieces of the chocolate peanut clusters because they were huge and loaded with peanuts! No, not your See's Candy (although I love their peanut clusters too).
