Taffy and so much more! [Medora ND] This candy shop is located in the beautiful Badlands of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora ND. We stopped by this shopping locale just minutes away from the entrance to the park. Outside there is a window where one could watch the taffy machine that stretches and pulls the candy mass. Inside the shop and to the left is another window and we could watch employees operate the candy wrapping machine. I'm not really fond of taffy but I always look for my favorite at a candy shop... Milk Chocolate Peanut Clusters. I am fortunate that I'm not allergic to peanuts because I love these crunchy, salty delicious treats. I made my way to the counter to look for my favorite... I purchased two pieces of the chocolate peanut clusters because they were huge and loaded with peanuts! No, not your See's Candy (although I love their peanut clusters too). Hubby and I have been on the road for over a month now. We are staying in Medora for a few days and stumbled across their lil taffy shop. Of course we had to pay it a visit and didn't walk out empty handed. The taffy is absolutely great! The flavors are spot on, size is consistent and texture is perfect for our liking! Back at home in California we drive over the mountain to the beach for tacos and taffy. Rushmore Mountain Taffy beats our taffy back home! Thumbs up. read more

Me and my husband are driving around the Dakotas and Medora was one of our stops. The town is small and cute and Taffy had a sign they make fresh fudge and taffy daily. The shop is small and super cute! Filled with amazing candy! The service is great - they are happy to give recommendations and my husband talked to the lady that makes it all! She recommended the peanut butter and the caramel fudge. They were both delicious - very good texture! Peanut butter was definitely the winner! It was not an overpowering pb taste - just enough. So so so yummy! The taffy was pretty good too! We got surprise flavors - the lady picked them all for us. Medora and Taffy shop - we may be back all the way from Texas again! read more
