Anthony is a real piece of work. This is my first RV and I learned a lot about maintaining them so far, the used ones that is. This mobile RV mechanic thing is not really a good option as it might seem, for anything. And Anthony, who talked like he knew everything, doesn't. They don't know much about the mechanics of the particular cab/chassis your RV uses, so you generally should take those to a regular mechanic, and the RV shops do have a lot more parts needed because they have the space for them, while the mobile ones don't, and so often have to order the parts and then come back a few days or two weeks later, once the parts arrive, and if you are stuck on the road, your RV can be towed or serviced as a regular car or truck is. So, what's the point in hiring a mobile RV mechanic, when better qualified, normal people with access to parts on hand or a couple hours away, can do the job in normal places? Now, I hired Anthony to: 1) replace a bad carburetor on the power generator 2) repair the broken gas gauge, and, 3) do a tune up on the engine, which was running a little rough. To be fair, 1 & 3 were accomplished fairly smoothly, it seemed, but not 2. It was just as broken as before, stuck on Full all of the time instead of on Empty all the time at the beginning of his work. I paid for the repairs with a CC, each day he finished working, several times, so I collected the approximate labor for 2 from my bank, and they debited from his account. He didn't like this, & wrote a much different account to the bank as to what happened, but it didn't work. After he was long gone, I put in a gallon of Sea Foam gas cleaner into the tank and a woman standing nearby noticed it was leaking onto the pavement. See photos. The stem was not secured properly to the tank. But imagine the size of this spill if I were refilling the 70 gallon tank. Then, a new mechanic eventually dropped the tank again and found that the part inside the tank was the wrong part, designed for a much smaller sized sized tank... I heard lots of different quotes from Anthony that I'd like to share. "You don't have the same rights with an RV like you have with a car", "Working on that RV was dangerous for me because of the traffic at times," so why didn't he ask that it be moved somewhere else? "If you don't pay me for the gas tank part I'll go back and remove the part and leave the tank disconnected from the RV." "I'll sue you for slander" "I make my own rules. Not you." "Not when you do what you do." He first came across as proficient, arguably good at talking, not excellent, but as the costs piled higher and higher, he demonstrated skill not in being a mechanic but in being a proud accomplished liar. It was halfway through the job when this manipulative side was really starting to show, but I let him continue, hoping he would finish but he just gave up and blamed the problems ... on me. Price: The highest. Quality: Dangerous. Service requested: 2 out of 3.

Picture # 6 - documentation of me asking about radio after receiving invoice of 1.5 hours of service and him snapping at me.

I gave myself two months from receiving service so that I can reflect on my experience and give a balanced review. Then, I wasn't even going to leave one because I don't want to negatively impact someone else's business... but Yelp kept bugging me for a review, so here it is. Every review has to have one star... so that one is given. +1 Star: I hired Anthony after coming across him on Yelp. I give him this star because I appreciate that he was quick to respond and was quick to start work. -1 Star: I take away a star because his prices are very high. Even if I agreed with everything about his service, I would have deducted a star because I don't think a $195 Service call is reasonable (this does not include any work, it is simply for him to show up). When in a pinch, you pay it. However, I have hired many mobile RV service providers and have never paid this much. -1 Star: I take away another star because after meeting me he said that he would be able to work on the various items I had that needed attention. Ok, I thought that's great... if I have to pay the $195 (plus at least 1 hour service at $120/hr) at least the various small items (house batteries looked at and radio fuse looked at) will be taken care of. Unfortunately, he only worked on the batteries and then left and sends me a bill for 30 more minutes, when I reached out to ask about the radio his response was "are you trying to get out of paying me". What? Of course not... I just want to know that all the work has been done. {*Reference picture one} he sends invoice at 7:21pm and I pay it within 6 minutes (no chasing me down required) -1 Star: I take away another star because I asked him to let me know when he arrives at the RV (I'm paying him by the hour, seems like a reasonable thing to ask). He is scheduled to be there 9-9:30ish. I am there at 9, wait till 9:30, then need to go grab my son so I leave the keys for him since I can't hand them to him. I message him a picture of the location of said keys and he sends back that he is on his way. I ask him to let me know when he has arrived. {*reference picture 2} Then at 10:21 he says "forgot to tell you "getting everything lined up and removed", {*reference picture 3} at 11:11 he sends me a picture of the batteries installed and says he's heading to his next job. {*reference picture 4} I ask him about the radio and he says he will try to swing back by after his day, even tells me it needs to be replaced (which it didn't) but then doesn't come {reference picture 5}. The next morning he sends me bill for an hour and a half of work - per the time stamps... he did not perform an hour and a half of service. Per security at the storage, he was not there for an hour and a half. 7:39am he sends me the invoice for an hour and a half of his time. I am hoping that the extra half hour is for him to come back and deal with radio, I ask him about solution with radio after receiving invoice (as I'm clicking the invoice to pay it) and his response is "If you are trying to get out of paying for the work done yesterday..." what the heck? I was literally clicking it to pay but felt the additional half hour should be for something... it was paid within minutes of me clicking the link. {*reference picture 6} In the end, I would not rehire Anthony. I don't think his rate is on par with his level of service and knowledge. I don't like it when a service provider doesn't perform all of the service I hired them to do. I don't like paying for something I'm not receiving; when you are charging someone for your time, then bill them only for the time you were there. And ultimately, I felt his response to my inquiry about the work that wasn't done was hostile. I don't know who he normally works with, but a simple question about when the rest of the work will be done should not have a response that requires me to be offended or on the offense. Best of luck to him and his business. He is a pleasant person at first encounter, and hopefully after reading this review he will think twice before being so snappy in his client communication and laissez-faire attitude with his commitment of service that will be provided and billable time when it pertains to future clients. ‍ P.S. Took old batteries in and they were fine, just needed to be charged... oh, and the fuse on the back of the radio was replaced and the new service provider didn't even charge me to do it. We live and learn... but this was an incredibly expensive lesson. P.S.S Radio did not need to be replaced. **** I did NOT need to be chased down. I paid invoices within minutes of receiving. I NEVER wanted him to work for free, who would want another individual to work for free? That is an insane theory. This communication only emphasizes why I will not work with him again, and hopefully will warn the next person. Oh, and will take that second star away due to lying. Thankfully I survived four teenagers and learned to keep receipts.

Anthony is a man of his word. You can count on him He is prompt and professional and very knowledgeable. Not to mention that he is one of the nicest guys that will ever meet. I highly recommend him. JH

I am going camping in a week and needed my truck and figured since I couldn't solve this easily on my own I would take it to a professional. They quoted me $411 for two hours of diagnostic labor. They called me back and told me that they found one of my O2 sensors wasn't giving any readings. This wasn't true because I did a live scan before and after taking it to their shop and was getting o2 readings on all 3 of my sensors. So they essentially lied. They told me that they wanted to charge me another 3 hours ($600) to "keep troubleshooting". I suggested that they replace the O2 wiring and see if that resolves the issue and I would pay the labor hours for that but I was told that was not the "cause" of the misfire. After a roundabout explanation of essentially nothing new or relevant to the misfire they told me "it would be best if I just picked up the truck". They could not give me a straight answer and I was never given the opportunity to speak directly to the tech working on it or the owner. I attached a photo of the bill. The first paragraph is what I told them over the phone. The second paragraph is what they charged me $411 for. They swapped two connectors for the oxygen sensors for $400. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Keep my money, but leave this post up so people know what they're getting themselves into.

Im told work is completed and the next day, fuel leak is back. Turns out they charged me for three hoses and only replaced one. Not even the one that was leaking. Are u kidding me. Charged me 4.5 hours for 1.5 hour job. Fought with this fool for the three days to get this done because at this point I'm immobile. When I refused to pay for work that wasn't done correctly, he sent his guy back and removed the new fuel lines he had just installed. Got the Sherriffs involved and 24 hours later the guy was back and replacing all the lines. Tried to charge me for 4.5 hours of labor at first and that was not gonna happen. A roadside assistance fee that was never mentioned to me at all and up charged the hoses by over 100%. The guy had them removed in 15 minutes after not getting paid and then after Sherriffs involved he had them replaced in 45. It's crooks like this that give mechanics a bad name. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my life with any vehicle repair. Promotes as local business and lives in Palm Springs. Run as fas as you can from this company.
