Back again .. this time to try THE Breakfast Burger which has lots of my favorite add-ons: fried egg and bacon. It was same expected taste of freshly made smash burger of loose meat. There was a bit too much of herb aioli. The arugula lettuce and Tomato made it a pretty big burger! I'd definitely have it again just without the arugula lettuce and aioli on the side.
The BLT has think flavorful bacon on thick bread and a zesty sauce. Tried 1/2 fries and the customer ketchup and it has a bit of a kick and the honey mustard is yummy. Food only available to order in the kitchen side versus the corner. But you can sit on either side!
Came here for lunch today. The KC current game was playing, the atmosphere was good, and we enjoyed our time. We played burble while we watched and ate. You order at the bar. I had the cheeseburger, the regular nor the crispy, very good, I wish they had chili cheese fries. You can bring in outside food. They have chargers. We will be back for sure.
What a great experience here! Can't say enough about what a gem this place is!! The only thing better than the food is the service! And the burger was outstanding!!!! Got the BBQ burger and was not disappointed. Bun was soft and fresh, burger patty was thick, probably a full inch (NOT a McDonald's paper patty) and actually had FLAVOR. Pretty much tasted like a lean and tender steak. The herb aioli was very 'herby' and added a fresh flavor and the bbq sauce was thick with a good kick of spice. Also ordered the flight of fries. We shared and there was still plenty left over after we filled up. We would've taken them back, but didn't want to carry them onto the airplane. Sauces were bold and tasty, in particular, the ranch and aioli were standouts for us. I don't know how many owners there are.. but we met two of them. Clearly, they know their burgers and beers, and definitely how to hire outstanding staff. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!
I sat on the front sidewalk patio. A server gave us the information on how to order soon after we sat down. We opted to order from the QR code on the table. The beer came pretty quick. To eat I had The Big Cheese and the burger was really good. It was cooked to my preference. The fries were the best I've had from a restaurant in a while. I loved the herbed aioli with the fries.
A friend organized a group of us to meet at "Brewer's Kitchen" for brunch. This was my first and only visit, but I'm ambivalent about the place. There are positives: Travelling to this location allowed me to visit a part of town I that I had not visited before. There was plenty of street parking. The store was nicely decorated--a little retro, a little industrial. This establishment has a good selection of craft beers. The bar can also make crafted cocktails. Apparently, they support local businesses by offering regional brands of beer, wine and spirits. The food is prepared well, and it is better than "pub grub". And you'll see offerings not seen at other eateries of this type. So, what was it that I didn't like? I don't think it was because they were "short staff"; I think this is how they conduct business: We were asked to place and pay for our orders using an app on our mobile devices. I understand that doing things in this way helps the restaurant minimize staff (no waiters, just food runners). I also acknowledge that it eliminates the cost associated with handling cash. Independent eateries are under pressure to minimize input costs. I just feel the elimination of wait staff as a diminution of service. I was also uncomfortable entering my credit card information into the app and running the transaction through an unfamiliar network. But I didn't want to cause waves. While I cannot say that this restaurant has data leaks, I got a text 4-hours later informing me of suspicious credit card activity. I had to kill my card.

The space has since expanded with the addition of Brewer's Corner - a beer hall literally just steps away from the main restaurant! We've been for date nights and Restaurant Week and really you can't go wrong with anything here! The food is spectacular! Everything is fresh - not a single freezer on site. This also means that when something sells out, it sells out for the day. The cost is a little higher, but you're paying for high quality food that's cooked with care. The classic burgers are great -- The Big Cheese is an elevated classic, but the Blueberry Jam Stout burger is a unique and delicious combo! The fries are delicious - make sure to get all the dipping sauces (they come with the flight!) but the brussels are equally delicious. Honestly some of the best in the city. Service is always great! We've had the pleasure of meeting Chris, the owner, and he really takes pride in the food he serves, the people he works with, and the spaces he's created. A must add to your KC list!
Brewer's Kitchen has arguably the best burgers in Kansas City, and is a great small space with good ownership and a great small staff. To go along with some truly delicious food, they also have a great selection of beer, good cocktails and now a new large attached space where you can kick back and have a drink after work or watch a game with a bunch of friends.
The breakfast burger was hands down one of the best I've had in years. The herb aioli was perfection. The fry flight was top tier and enough for 4 people. Oh and my 6 year old said his grilled cheese was fire and the best grilled cheese that he's ever had. Even better than mine and I'm the best cook he knows.

It's an intimate establishment that I found out today employs only 7 people including the owner, so service can be a little slow if it's busy. But the space is fantastic so kick back and enjoy the amazing local beers and munch on the incomparable Borracho Nachos! Bottom line, it's a small business that takes care of its people, serves amazing food with local ingredients, local beers and has a beautiful space. It's a gem that belongs in Kansas City.
Brewer's Kitchen has some of the best American style fare in the Gillham area. I had the delicious blueberry stout burger, I thought it was a bit pricey, as it doesn't come with any sides, but once I buy into it, I immediately agreed with the pricing. Quality ingredients that produce robust flavors cost a little extra. The very perfect burger was a unique and flavorful culinary creation! Combining the rich and full-flavored stout beer with the sweetness of blueberries and the savory elements of a burger is sure to make for an interesting and satisfying taste experience. Service was pretty good, though I feel like we would've had better service had set inside instead of the patio.

Side order of Brussels sprouts. The flavor profiles were spot-on. Met the owner Chris and chatted a few moments about his passion and how Brewers came about. Very impressed! I'll return and bring friends!
I follow Brewer's Kitchen on Instagram and have been wanting to try for the longest time. I recently finally was able to try for lunch while in the area. I really like the space. There is a projected screen that's great for watching games. There's a good selection of local beer on draft. Everything at Brewer's kitchen is fresh and made in house, and that includes a variety of ketchups! I really like the focus on fresh, quality ingredients and local beer. The burger and fries were amazing. You can definitely taste the quality of ingredients and tell that what you are eating is freshly prepared. I will definitely plan to return and recommend for burger and beer lovers. read more

Lots of street parking and seating, so that's nice. We arrived and were told they were closing the restaurant side in 20 minutes, but we were welcome to order and sit on the bar side. Cool, right? No. Not cool. The DJ was "spinning" for no one and it was so loud we were unable to have a conversation. The food was just ok, and overpriced for ok. Service was decent. It wasn't our vibe. read more
If you are looking for tasty interesting burgers, this is a place for you. It is an "order at the counter" and they run the food to you. The markers for the tables/orders were very creative. I tried the crunch patties, they weren't exactly smash burgers which are my go to over big juicy burgers. I wish I would have tried this place big juicy burgers after trying the crunch one. The crunch was lackluster. My friend got a juicy one, they said it was delicious. Fries were spicy and very filling. Full bar and great beer selection, though the two beers I tried were flat. Despite the beer, I will definitely go back and try the juicy burger. read more

The food is good but could use some seasoning or at least put salt and pepper on the tables. You pretty much serve yourself and no one comes to refill sodas or water. Nice atmosphere though. read more

The food is great. No question. I had the the Holiday Hangover burger, and it was SO good. The texture of my burger was a little weird, sort of like they had a lot of loose beef and cheese that they scraped out of the pan onto a bun (not a smash burger) but the flavors were on point. I also ordered the brussels sprouts, and wow! A dynamic flavor profile, sweet and acidic and a little bitter. Nicely complex. The chef really know what's up. Service was acceptable. I walked in to place a carry-out order, and it took a bit for them to understand me. I don't know if they're just weren't on their game or what, but eventually I was able to place the order. I had a beer at the bar while I waited for my food, which was served promptly and correctly. The atmosphere is the same polished concrete, steel and wood that's everywhere right now. Very cold, sort of uninteresting, but on trend. The cost however, holy cats. I get it, inflation, but Jebus! A burger and sprouts cost $50. So three stars for food. Good job. -2 stars for cost and an uninspired, cliche'd interior. Edit in response to owner: It was not a busy night. There were empty tables. Maybe don't call them a burger, if they're more like a philly on a burger bun? A burger, beer, sprouts + tip came to $48. (I omitted the beer above, it was not deliberate and my apologies). As far as decor, that is subjective. What you have is unique to your crafting hands, but the same look is everywhere. Sometimes I get wrapped up in what I create too, and forget that unless I'm there to defend my decisions the art has to stand on its own. But hey, here you are to defend it. I'm glad that you're doing so much for your restaurant, and I appreciate your passion. However, this was my experience and I stand by it. read more

My wife and I had lunch here while visiting Kansas City. The burgers here are freshly made and there is a wide selection of beers. All of their burgers are marinated with beer and / or complemented with sauces infused with beer. I ordered the Oktoberfest burger. I found the mustard to be slightly overwhelming. My wife had the Prohibition burger. While the burgers were good, we found them to be a little messy (due to the sauces). The fries, however, were excellent. Nice atmosphere overall. read more
My girlfriend and I are both constantly craving burgers, and we decided to give this place a try for take out this weekend, and I was blown away. Some of the burgers are definitely more expensive than you'd typically pay for a burger (my eyes of course immediately went to the $20 most expensive burger on the menu), but the flavor is well worth the cost! I was shocked at how well the Blueberry Stout Burger traveled after sitting in the takeout container for an hour when we got stuck in traffic! It was delicious!! Still in perfect condition. Perfect balance of sweet, savory, and char! Even the fry flight was fun because we enjoyed the herb aioli and drunken ketchup! Parking in Union Hill can be a challenge during busy weekends, but this place is located across from the big parking lot! Pick up was quick and convenient. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Everything is homemade, fresh, and was delicious! I had the OG burger, fries, and chips & salsa. The only food item I wasn't a fan of was their ketchup & ranch dressings but they have regular bottled ketchup if you want. The staff was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. They use a double sided board at your table that you can flip over if you need help from the staff. The beer flight was delicious and very unique; pictured below. Overall nice layout of the restaurant, tables are nicely spaced without feeling crowded. Will be back again! read more

I like it. I probably would go here for a casual date or gathering with some friends. The set up is cute. The menu has something for everyone. The staff didn't hover over me (I was there solo to get away from people) so that's a plus. The food was prompt and cool. I'd go back. read more

Great local spot. Service was excellent and attentive. We had young kids and they got those orders in immediately. I had the Prohibition burger with brussel sprouts. Good sized portion. I could only eat half the burger and half the sprouts before I was past full. Creamy avocado with those sweet caramelized onions was a nice pairing. It is a messy burger but worth it. My husband got the burrito with brussel sprouts and he loved it. Good sized portions. Kids got cheeseburgers with fries. Really good portions for our kids. Fries were delicious and fresh. read more
Met friends here on Friday evening. The atmosphere is really chill and our server was super nice and patient. I'm not a huge ipa drinker but thought I would give it a shot. He didn't mind bringing me samples be also didn't mind that I ended up getting a blackberry cider which was delicious then for my second drink I told him I would like a lighter beer and he suggested the pardora pale ale and it was really good! There were 4 in my party and we all got a different variation of the burger. I just got a cheeseburger and it was really good, cooked perfectly, bun toasted on point and flavor was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. And I would try any of them the OG looked the best to me though. Fries were good. They charge you for sauces though and they make their own ketchup. I love regular ketchup, theirs is OK but nothing is better the original in my heart. I would come back here. Food and service were awesome and they have a large variety of drinks! read more

We had the blueberry jam burger which was amazing. Consider ordering the original brussel sprouts, YUM. Service was amazing, people were kind and on top of things. Atmosphere chill. The TVs were not too loud so you could definitely talk while eating. Will come back again. read more

We came in on a Sunday mid afternoon. We sat at the bar. Had a couple of beers. He ordered borracho burrito and I had the prohibition burger . We have eaten out 3 other times this week.. sushi, Mexican and pizza. HANDS DOWN. Best meal we've had. The burger was cooked Perfectly... juicy and crispy bun. The burrito was savory with the warm flour tortilla. We.will.be.back. Bravo guys, bravo. read more

We grabbed restaurant week dinner from Brewer's kitchen. Ordering online was a little tricky. I don't know if it was our technology being glitchy, but our laptop wouldn't allow us to select our burgers and the. Our phones wouldn't let us change the pickup time. We called and asked to change our pickup time and had no problems after that. Curbside pickup was easy and the food was good! The amount of food you get is a deal for sure. We got the borracho nachos, Brussels sprouts, OG burger, prohibition burger, fries, and a brownie. The favorites were the borracho nachos and Brussels sprouts. I would definitely order them both again. read more

They are so polite on handing you knife and fork to be clean and just well done eating but no I say take those off and use your hand if the burger does get all over your face hand and you don't suck your fingers then you aren't eating the burgers Wrong I tell you!
