So the tread on my VL1500LC was getting awfully thin on the rear tire. Well, thin is an understatement, I was basically riding on a "slick" tire by the time I got to Brewers, today. They had ONE tire in stock to fit my bike, and lo and behold, it was the exact tire that was on the bike. I asked if it would be an inconvenience to do an oil change and check the brakes while they had the bike in the shop and they added it to the work order. They said it would be about an hour before they could get it into the shop, this was around 10AM. 11AM rolled around and my bike was still sitting outside, but no worries, I was looking at all kinds of two wheeled eye candy all over the shop, imagining myself on that champagne colored Vulcan 1700 that was all chromed out with backrests for both driver and passenger (sigh). 11:30 rolled around and the service manager came to get me and take me to the back. My bike was on a lift and the oil was all drained out of it. The mechanic took a flashlight and showed me what the front brake pads looked like - maybe 1/4 of pad left - it was passable. Then he showed me the rear by holding a mirror to the underside of the rotor and shining the flashlight on it - the inside of the rotor was looking chewed up and there was no lining left on that rear interior brake pad. Anyhow, they didn't have the brakes in stock (they're not a Suzuki dealer) and had to order them, so I wouldn't be able to get the brakes done for a week. They asked if it would be my preference to have the tire done the same time the brakes are done, that it would save me a little money. I ran my hand on the rear tire and said "no, I'd just as soon have that rear tire replaced before I take the bike home" and they reiterated it would cost more to do the brakes and the tire separately, but I insisted on getting the tire done anyway (my bride was getting very nervous about me riding on a "slick"). I got to the counter and the parts guy was making already phone calls to see if there was any place locally that might have my pads so they could still do the job today, but no luck. An hour or so later, my bike was ready to roll (well, it still needed brakes). I paid my bill (prepaid for the brakes that were ordered) and everything was as I expected. I didn't feel like I'd been taken advantage of either. Wow, did it feel different having a new sneaker on the back. I was advised to not use my rear brake if I didn't have to and to park it 'till I could bring it back. See you guys next week! My only (minor) complaint - if it's going to be an hour and a half to get it in the shop, just tell me an hour and a half instead of an hour. read more

Took my daughter's beta in to get a service , new break and clutch leavers and clutch adjustment They charged me out the woohaa and put some crapy leavers on that don't even have the grommets in them so they are super loose , had to ask them to tighten up parts on the carb they forgot to tighten , then it's as if they never even touched the clutch For the high price they charged me to do a cruddy job never will I take her bike back to them and highly recommend that you do not take your toy to them either The only good thing I have to say about the place is there were 3 guys I talked to when in there were good guys . read more

Miserable customer service. Last weekend I was looking for a new helmet. Was in the store for no less than 10 minutes, with nonless than 3 employees standing around. It wasn't until I was walking out that I was asked if I found everything I was looking for. Went in today to BUY a new helmet, after looking at other places too, and decided to get the one I tried on the weekend prior. Customer service is lacking. After dropping my bike off. I called a few days later to check on the status and was told it would be at least two weeks before they could take a look at the bike. I was not told that at the time I dropped the by off for service. Had I known, I would not have wasted time and taken it to another location for service. Initially, I was lead to believe that it would take a day or two to diagnose the problem, determine if parts are needed, order parts and fix the bike. It is a different story when I'm told now that it is a minimum of two weeks before they would even look at it. If you're looking for dependable trustworthy customer service, this is not the place. Absolutely unreliable! As promised, and I had hoped I didn't have to do this, but here goes. There is a local motorcycle shop in Henderson, NC called Brewer Cycles, Inc. I have had incredibly poor customer service from them in the past. They did take steps to rectify it and I gave them another shot. However, recently, I decided I was tired of getting all their emails and 'unsubscribed' from their e-mail list. Or so I thought. I continued to get them. So, I unsubscribed again. I also left a voice mail for "Robin", and sent them an email demanding they remove me from any and all communication from Brewer Cycles. I received a voicemail from Chris Brewer on December 3, 2021 stating that his IT people were looking into the situation. In that voicemail he also stated that they wouldn't be sending out any more emails until it got resolved. Well, guess what I got today? Yup, another one from them. I have now contacted the Attorney General's office to see what legal recourse I have. I've also filed a formal complaint. Now onto the Secretary of State. How hard is it to not get a freaking email?!?!?! read more

Hands-down the worst experience, I have ever had with a dealership. I called on Tuesday to inquire about a Honda Pioneer and spoke to Ralph at Brewer cycles. I went ahead and purchased the 1000-5 deluxe model. The dealership is a little over an hour's drive from Raleigh, North Carolina. I texted Ralph multiple times Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning before I left to request an invoice. It was not until I arrived on-site with a truck and trailer to pick up the new unit that I discovered the price discrepancies. Ralph refused to send me an itemized receipt which I requested before I drove to the dealership. Not only did they charge me more than the MSRP that Honda provides. They cranked the Honda destination fee up to $1000, and then they hit you for another $200 for administration fees. However, Ralph will tell you that you are fortunate because he can charge $1000 for administration fees. Ralph reminds me of a used car salesperson. In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. I don't do business with dishonest people and companies. After I left the dealership, I contacted a local dealer that was wonderful to work with and saved over $1,500 in the process. I'd highly recommend that you call around and shop destination and administration fees. My new dealer provided extra incentives on top of the added savings. Do yourself a favor and call around before giving Brewer Cycles any business. You will be happy you did. read more

Very disappointing purchase experience. Purchased a Kawasaki SX-R jet ski, awesome piece of machinery, very happy with the ski. DON'T deal with Brewer Cycles, what a mistake I did make! We drove 3 hours down to go collect the ski, being promised that it will be ready for collection when we got there. Well they had not started preping the craft! The sales lady did not seem particularly interested in the sale, made many promises but kept none. Left us standing outside waiting for the vehicle to be brought out for hours. Parts personal was requested to put some suggested items together for the craft, well seemed they dont know their products, we purchased items which dont fit with that craft. Was promised a cap and t-shirt (no big deal on a $11 000 purchase), but they could not even keep their word on that. Was promised the tank was full of gas, (no big deal for 6 gallons), but we took it straight to the lake to find the gas tank was totally empty. Sent an email with my concerns, was promised the apparel and $25 fuel voucher would be sent that week, oh still waiting over 2 months down the road. Very sad that they have no concern for their reputation nor customers. Being a business owner myself I would never accept this kinda treatment to my customers. Disappointing read more

Today I called Brewer Cycles to purchase a new motorcycle for our son. The salesman, Victor Gill, was happy to talk to me about the purchase. I asked for an out the door quote for the unit for a cash buyer. It would have been my 3rd purchase form Brewers however after receiving the quote I called another dealership just down the road in Wake Forest to compare prices. The dealership beat Brewers by almost $500 on the exact same machine. I called Victor to see if they could price match and he told me he would see. Victor called me back and said the owner, Chris Brewer, would only come down $100 off of the quote even for a possible 3rd time customer. I would rather drive elsewhere than to do business with Brewer Cycles in Henderson. This was by no means the salesman's fault; I feel like Victor tried for me, but the owner obviously does not care about repeat customers. read more

From the time I entered the showroom at Brewer Cycles it was nothing short of a perfect experience. The showroom was clean and I was offered water, coffee and other refreshments from their cozy lounge area. This was my first time here and I bought my Honda Rancher. I never write reviews and am writing this one after my second time here which was for my first service. I had made an appointment so while waiting on my rancher even Chris, the owner, came out to see how I liked it and how I was doing. Took my 4 wheeler due to it not starting, had never had a problem with it. They offered a full service, told me it would be $300 to $350. I agreed. Picked it up a couple weeks later and the bill was $693. I expected a $4 to $425 assuming a new battery(they always say you need a battery) New battery was $149, haven't been able to find one fo more than $72 other than there. Brewer contacted me and had made a mistake on my bill, got it more in line with my expectations. Would recommend getting a written estimate on repairs. read more
