I had no desire for green and instead chanced my arm for an additional sauce; I chose the classic peppercorn as well as the utterly sublime beef dripping sauce. Fact: Onion Loaf + Beef Dripping Sauce = Love. But seriously I could talk about their beef dripping sauce til the cows come home..... :) .....sorry. The menu is something to behold. Honestly you can get lost looking for the bottom. SO many options and - for a steakhouse - the variety is impressive. And for the steaks in particular, very affordable. High quality ingredients, good value, and a nice atmosphere in which to enjoy them. The place was busy on this Saturday afternoon, with plenty of regulars sitting at the bar with their drinks, but also plenty of people in for lunch. It's easy to see why, with the friendly atmosphere and the nice food on offer. I'm not sure how often I'll be out this way, but I'll definitely pop in again if I'm around. Recommended.

They gravy is flavorful and the mashed potatoes are silky. The steak pie was probably the best we had tasted in all of our Scotland visit. We were ashamed to not be able to finish it all due to being full. Their sticky toffee pudding was also fabulous. We got their small plate and could have licked the cup clean it that good. We stayed one night at the Bridge Inn Ratho in the Baird Room- an adorable room with two cozy twin…read morebeds, and an old fashioned claw foot bathtub (No shower-but they provide all the bath products to entice you to relax in the tub!) The Bridge Inn overlooks the Union Canal, and we could watch the canal boats tie up outside our window for the night with boaters on their way to the pub. The pub on site is excellent-and we decided to have a nice dinner at the Inn, and it was wonderful! We ordered the steak dinner, and the chicken with leeks dinner-both perfectly prepared! Don't worry about being too full for dessert-they have a "mini dessert" menu with smaller portion sizes to try, we had the sticky toffee pudding-so good! Breakfast is provided in the dining room offering every option to tempt you from healthy oats and yogurt, to French toast with local made fruit compote (my favorite!). As our stay was right before the holidays, they had their Holiday Event Menu out for 2023 with special events for New Years and Breakfast with Santa for the little ones. It was an excellent stay with very friendly service!

Honestly, I was surprised that the lounge wasn't that full. We found seating right away near some windows. I think it was a view of the parking lot. It was still dark outside when we arrived early in the morning. The coffee is great! They serve Union Hand-Roasted Coffee in all of their lounges. The breakfast options are good here. I believe I had a fruit salad and a pastry. There were sausages, streaky bacon, porridge, and other items. I was still trying to wake up at that point. The one thing that I was most impressed with was the Tunnocks Tea Cakes. I'd never had this Scottish treat before. It's like a Mallomar marshmallow cookie, only it's not as sweet and the marshmallow is light & fluffy. It was nice that there was a special area of Scottish treats at the tea bar. They also had the Scottish tablets and shortbread. What a treat! It was a quiet lounge that even included some private work pods for those traveling alone. Most of the seats had charging stations. It was modern, clean, comfy, and quiet in there. It was nice just to be away from the busy terminal.

This lounge was also directly opposite my gate so it was a very simple jump from here over to the plane. If you're flying BA, save a little time and stop here before the flight.
