The British Airways Lounge at Edinburgh Airport was actually pretty good. It's located near Gate 5 in the main terminal. There's only one terminal which makes it easy to navigate.
Honestly, I was surprised that the lounge wasn't that full. We found seating right away near some windows. I think it was a view of the parking lot. It was still dark outside when we arrived early in the morning.
The coffee is great! They serve Union Hand-Roasted Coffee in all of their lounges. The breakfast options are good here. I believe I had a fruit salad and a pastry. There were sausages, streaky bacon, porridge, and other items. I was still trying to wake up at that point. The one thing that I was most impressed with was the Tunnocks Tea Cakes. I'd never had this Scottish treat before. It's like a Mallomar marshmallow cookie, only it's not as sweet and the marshmallow is light & fluffy. It was nice that there was a special area of Scottish treats at the tea bar. They also had the Scottish tablets and shortbread. What a treat!
It was a quiet lounge that even included some private work pods for those traveling alone. Most of the seats had charging stations. It was modern, clean, comfy, and quiet in there. It was nice just to be away from the busy terminal. read more
