Prepare to wait in line to order food and drinks. Sat at table for over thirty minutes til we saw…read morethe small print on menu that said " you order your own food ". Food prices are typical raping at the airport. Gouge as much as you can out of trapped travelers On top of this they have a tip jar at the counter for when you order and pick up your own food!!!! Lmao Then you get to wait over 30 minutes for an order of pancakes. If you're in a hurry this place is a real bad choice You also have to wait for tables while people are sleeping at them and not eating!! BUT the pancakes were awesome

Wonders never cease. It seems like there IS an ok food option in Glasgow Airport (now that Eat is…read moregone) and it's Beardmore. I'd never tried here before but in the spirit of adventure came here for lunch. I got a southern fried chicken burger with chips and a glass of wine. Prices are v steep - nearly £12 for a chicken burger. Madness. Thankfully, it was damn good so I can deal with it. Presented on a tray with a bucket of fries, I was really impressed by the chips as they had a beautiful crunch (from reading Tracy W's review its because they're coated in flour) so not great if you're GF but otherwise delicious. The burger had a massive bit of chicken on it, very crumbed and a little dry but tasted totally great inside a soft brioche bun. I didn't like the sauce (BBQ gross) but once I added Tommy sauce it was great. Service is never going to be great at an airport pub. Slow and uncaring - the guy was even laughing about there being three delayed flights. Including mine. If I'd had an actual working knife I might have used it. Probably why they don't give you real knives. Apart from that, this is now my fav spot for food in the airport. Here's hoping it's good next time and my flight isn't delayed. Note: toilets inside the out as well as departure screens. Order at the bar.

Although you are limited with your food, the options are slightly better than the buffet style over at Aspire Lounge. With that said, this also means you will need to wait about 5-10 minutes for your food to come out. I did see pictures of some of food options, and ones like the bacon roll and sausage sub did not look quite appetizing. It may be a bit of a hit or miss here with the food, but I can tell you that the mac and cheese was yummy. The sauce was cheesy and full of truffle oil, which I requested --maybe a little too much truffle oil to be honest. I added extra crispy onions from the side counter as well. There are some bread, salad, baked goods, and soup options that is free for all if the entree isn't enough for you. I did find this lounge more relaxing and bright, especially with the high ceilings. I'd come to this lounge for the atmosphere, but Aspire for the food; although both are not too far of a stretch. Or if you have the time, you can go to both like I did (because my flight was delayed).

The lounge itself is nice but the food is meh! I'd rather go to the other lounge beside it…read more Location: It is located in Edinburgh Airport, the lounge is nice cause they have 360 kinda view of the planes so its kinda cool. The seatings are like very classy type, a nice bar at the side. Service: The bar tender is nice and also the guy who checks me in. Food: They have a small buffet type of breads, cereals and juices. They have a menu handed by a guy who checks u in and once you chose the food you want to order you will tell the bartender what you want then they will serve it to you. Here is the problem, all the food on the menu does not taste good, well I mean I ordered 2. First I had CLASSIC SAUSAGE SUB: it was 2 sliced sausage with ketchup on a bun, it taste ew, like I didn't eat any. I told myself maybe I'll try the POACHED EGG with AVOCADO: still taste ew, the egg is like mid hard boiled egg and the avocado has a plastic taste on it. So what did I do? I moved to the next door lounge and the food was waaayyy better!! 100x better. Price rating: Had access here cause of my Chase reserve card. The interior is pretty nice, I felt like the people go here just to feel that they are special because of the atmosphere, but the food was meh.

Another day another airport. Well, the same that I was at a couple of days ago. The good thing…read moreabout this airport that getting through security is so much easier than LA. Even when you check in at the counter. The line isn't that long and there's always a good amount of someone working the counter. International airport and it's easier to maneuver, that's a win in my book. Also there's plenty of weigh stations that you can use for a pound to see if your luggage weight limits is correct before checking it in and having to readjusts. Security is upstairs. Scan your boarding pass to enter through before security. It's alway nice to have something that speedy and easy. The waiting area has a good amount of eating places. There's some fast food restaurants as well as sit down. Shopping is available as well with duty free at the beginning. What I don't like is they won't display your gate until it gets close to barding time. The airport isn't that big so it wouldn't be too much of a struggle trying to get to the correct one.

We flew out from here. We decided to go to the airport early since we were done with being out and…read moreabout while it was raining. We came here 3 hours before our flight, which is a bit excessive. We couldn't even check in our luggage until 2:30 before the flight. Afterwards we made our way to the security screening. There was only one lane open and it took about 30 minutes. There are some restaurants, but not much else to do. We ended up being here even longer since our flight was delayed over an hour due to strong winds.

Honestly, I was surprised that the lounge wasn't that full. We found seating right away near some windows. I think it was a view of the parking lot. It was still dark outside when we arrived early in the morning. The coffee is great! They serve Union Hand-Roasted Coffee in all of their lounges. The breakfast options are good here. I believe I had a fruit salad and a pastry. There were sausages, streaky bacon, porridge, and other items. I was still trying to wake up at that point. The one thing that I was most impressed with was the Tunnocks Tea Cakes. I'd never had this Scottish treat before. It's like a Mallomar marshmallow cookie, only it's not as sweet and the marshmallow is light & fluffy. It was nice that there was a special area of Scottish treats at the tea bar. They also had the Scottish tablets and shortbread. What a treat! It was a quiet lounge that even included some private work pods for those traveling alone. Most of the seats had charging stations. It was modern, clean, comfy, and quiet in there. It was nice just to be away from the busy terminal.

The food and drinks area are no longer self-service, but the staff member was friendly and helpful. Plus points for BA serving real champagne for its sparkling wine choice vs the usual Prosecco or cava. This lounge was also directly opposite my gate so it was a very simple jump from here over to the plane. If you're flying BA, save a little time and stop here before the flight.

Recently refurbished, they have split the main bar away from the Bistro to allow children to enter and reduce the noise. Good plan! The menu has been overhauled and they don't have as many dishes on the menu as before which is a lot better for the kitchen ensuring quality over quantity. I ordered King Prawns with Calamari, my mom Haggis Fritters and my sister in law Black Pudding in Breadcrumbs with a Chilli Sauce. No complaints. They were tasty and well presented. We then ordered Balmoral Chicken, Fish & Chips and a Chicken Burger. Portions are extremely good for the price, food was cooked fresh to order and of a good quality. There was only 1 staff member within the bistro when I was in looking after 4 tables, which was okay but we did have to wait at times to be served; not her fault though. The dishes are a little expensive for a Bar Bistro in Erskine, but you'd expect to pay more if you dined in Glasgow for the quality and size of the portions. Our bill for 2 courses and numerous drinks for 3 people came to around £56. Not THAT bad when you think of it. All in all, the Whuppity Scourie is much better than it's predecessors and I hope it's hear to stay.
