We checked in right when the lounge opened early in the AM so it was obviously clean and food was fresh. This is a considerably large space with various seating areas and a quiet corner designated (should you want that). Food wise, it's a decent offering at breakfast. You'll find more bread-based foods and a couple hot items - good enough for a hungry traveler. I can't comment on alcoholic beverages as I didn't partake on this visit.

The staff were also somewhat uninterested about the customers. They were talking to themselves a lot and weren't really welcoming. Nonetheless, what can you expect from BA Lounges these days. It's certainly a difference between London and Glasgow!

I didn't like the sauce (BBQ gross) but once I added Tommy sauce it was great. Service is never going to be great at an airport pub. Slow and uncaring - the guy was even laughing about there being three delayed flights. Including mine. If I'd had an actual working knife I might have used it. What I don't like is they won't display your gate until it gets close to barding time. The airport isn't that big so it wouldn't be too much of a struggle trying to get to the correct one.

It was still dark outside when we arrived early in the morning. The coffee is great! They serve Union Hand-Roasted Coffee in all of their lounges. The breakfast options are good here. I believe I had a fruit salad and a pastry. There were sausages, streaky bacon, porridge, and other items. I was still trying to wake up at that point. The one thing that I was most impressed with was the Tunnocks Tea Cakes. I'd never had this Scottish treat before. It's like a Mallomar marshmallow cookie, only it's not as sweet and the marshmallow is light & fluffy. It was nice that there was a special area of Scottish treats at the tea bar. Then, we just followed the signs to get out of the airport and into the uber pick up area and then I forgot the driver is on the left side so I had a mini embarrassing moment trying to open what I thought was the front passenger seat Departures: After being traumatized by the Amsterdam airport - I made sure to arrive 4 hours early. This annoyed the British Airways representative. When I told her my misadventure in Amsterdam, she let me in to security. Just before is pret-a-manger. I spent an hour there charging my phone, and my electronics. I got a cup of mango with lime. It was refreshing. I also got a blueberry matcha which sadly only came with oat milk. It was still good. Not too sweet. Then I walked through security and ended up in a line for a restaurant - forgot the name. but they had an epic chicken cesear salad and mint mojito. It was amazing. But the only downside was that the wait time was really long. I lost track of time. I then went to a boutique nearby looking for a light dress or a tank top - I just so happened to pick a bank holiday and the day a random heatwave rolled through London and I had nothing to wear for the heat. I got caught up trying on clothes that I did not notice until 15 minutes before boarding closes that I had to get on the plane. So then I frantically looked for a screen that told me I was not too far. So I then apologized to the ladies who were stuck with 6 items to put back as I ran to the plane. Not a ton of seating in the early areas but once you get to the gates there are some options. The gate is only announced when the flight is closer to boarding, so you can loiter and browse until you know your gate departure. We only missed a place to fill our water bottles, but a helpful bartender gave us tap water which was all we needed. A good spot and thankful for the airport buses that take you right there easily!

I ordered King Prawns with Calamari, my mom Haggis Fritters and my sister in law Black Pudding in Breadcrumbs with a Chilli Sauce. No complaints. They were tasty and well presented. We then ordered Balmoral Chicken, Fish & Chips and a Chicken Burger. Portions are extremely good for the price, food was cooked fresh to order and of a good quality. There was only 1 staff member within the bistro when I was in looking after 4 tables, which was okay but we did have to wait at times to be served; not her fault though. The dishes are a little expensive for a Bar Bistro in Erskine, but you'd expect to pay more if you dined in Glasgow for the quality and size of the portions.
