There are several options that looked good, but I thought "All Bar One" had the best appeal. Went back and gave Jan the scouting report and we headed to Bar All One. My expectations are never high when it comes to airport restrauants and their food quality. I do expect to pay more for the dining experience. We started with a Pinot Gregio for Jan, and an Innis and Gunn larger for me. We ordered fried calamari as a starter. It was decent. Quanity was just right for a lunch starter. It was nicely breaded and fried nicely. Jan ordered the Pad Thai salad with shrimp. When she told me it was bland, my response was, really! I took a bite and agreed, it was almost tasteless. I would never expect Pad Thai to be bland. Per the menu this is their description: Rice noodles, cooper maran eggs, pak choi, baby corn, broccoli, sugar snap peas, bean sprouts, sweet chili, and pine nuts. Doesn't sound bland, but it was. I ordered the Sirloin steak sandwich. Thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich. it was not very large, which was just find. It was loaded with flavor. The steak had a nice grilled flavor, cooked medium rare - perfect, and was tender. It came with a truffle infused mayo that I loved. It came with skin on fries that were good. The service was good, the venue has a modern look. Table spacing is tight. Noise is acceptable, not interfering with conversation.

The price was reasonable and the breakfast was perfect for before a long flight. I ordered a pot of tea with oat milk as well. Doesn't help the fact that it was a bank holiday. We manage to book a table while there but it wouldn't be ready for half and hour or so. It was ok, we ended up grabbing a couple of pints and seated near the bar. They did offer us a hi top table of we were interested instead of waiting for a table. But, we declined. Once we got seated, which was better as we had a table along the window with the water view. Dinner with a view. Our waiter was amazing, friendly and always with a smile. Chatted with us which was quite nice as some place just wanted you to order right when you sit down. Menu, good selection. Except that they ran out of oysters. We wanted a dozen, which then found out that they inky had five available. Which then ended up being three. Seafood restaurant, along the waterfront and they were out of oyster. During a bank holiday, that sucked. Beside that, the mussels were amazing. Cocked in the broth that was quite tasty. As well as the pate with the chutney. Our main was quite good as well. Everything was flavorful. With every single bite, there was no room for dessert. Overall, service was great. Highly recommend booking a table even if it's mid week as it does get quite busy. They have a full bar. Out door seating along the patio that overlooks the water is beautiful. It wasn't t open as it was quite chilly but on a nice sunny day, it's worth it. Food was great, staff all very friendly, good food and good vibes.

You're right next to the canal and the sight of swans is magical. The staff there is attentive and truly friendly wanting your experience to be great. Their restaurant is very popular and after having dined there I can see why. The bangers and mash is delicious. They gravy is flavorful and the mashed potatoes are silky. The steak pie was probably the best we had tasted in all of our Scotland visit. We were ashamed to not be able to finish it all due to being full. Their sticky toffee pudding was also fabulous. The Bridge Inn overlooks the Union Canal, and we could watch the canal boats tie up outside our window for the night with boaters on their way to the pub. The pub on site is excellent-and we decided to have a nice dinner at the Inn, and it was wonderful! We ordered the steak dinner, and the chicken with leeks dinner-both perfectly prepared! Don't worry about being too full for dessert-they have a "mini dessert" menu with smaller portion sizes to try, we had the sticky toffee pudding-so good! Breakfast is provided in the dining room offering every option to tempt you from healthy oats and yogurt, to French toast with local made fruit compote (my favorite!). As our stay was right before the holidays, they had their Holiday Event Menu out for 2023 with special events for New Years and Breakfast with Santa for the little ones. It was an excellent stay with very friendly service!

The service was a bit slow and the staff all seemed totally exhausted. Perhaps they need more staff or need to give the ones they have shorter shifts or more breaks? We weren't in a rush so it didn't really matter to us but I think I'd avoid it for anything more complicated than a glass of wine if I was in a hurry. Anyway, the food was fine (I actually really enjoyed my bagel but I guess that's a hard thing to get wrong) and it was a nice, relaxed place to sit. Quite pricey but everywhere is pricey in airports. We had another long wait to pay the bill but I think we could probably have solved that by taking it up to the bar ourselves.

Mushrooms were not fresh and poorly sprinkled on top, £1.20 for it!) and cheddar cheese. He said his burger tasted nice but didn't look really good. The extra toppings don't worth it! Mine was quite dry, salad on it was a very thing slice of tomato and a lettuce leave! The spicy beans pattie didn't taste bad though. Chips were good. Total of 30£ for 2 burgers with chips + tea and cappuccino, in my opinion doesn't worth the money! You can make it better with a fresh sandwich plus good coffee or juice from any other cafe and paying a lot less.

You basically find a table if you can manage to find one open, figure out what you want on the menu, then walk up to the counter to order and pay (please note the # on your table to give them), and then it comes out to you. The prices are highway robbery for what you get. I ordered the club sandwich served with chips. The toasted sourdough bread came with chicken breast, bacon, mature cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayo. The sandwich was just okay. One side of my sandwich had these two small slices of chicken on it. There was a whole lot of everything but chicken. The chips on the other hand were phenominal and very tasty. I had a diet soda to go with my sandwich. I also ordered a glass of water which we never got. My husband ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad. Please don't mistake this for the caesar we have in the states as the taste if very different and seems to come on a l lot of the sandwiches in the UK. He didn't like it, but was hungry and ate it anyway for the price. A few helpful folks at the counter recommended a beer to him he tried and downed. The chips and beer seem to be the winners of this dining experience. The place is okay. The price and dining experience don't really match up even for an airport and being in the UK, but when in "....." you don't have many options. I noticed on one of the table signs there is an app you can use to order, and the food will come out to you. I posted a picture of it to go with the review. There is also more seating away from the main area that we didn't notice until walking to our gate. That would've been good to know when we were struggling to find a table prior, but the setup isn't straightforward where the additional tables are.
