Aloha, this is a fun trendy neighborhood craft beer pub. There's even a sign that says no Yelping, LOL, enjoy the beer, company & ambiance, get off your phone! Okay, guilty, but how else am I gonna share with you how great or not places are? We really do love all the great food & beers here. We love that it's close to the University so you get a lot of trendy youngn's hanging. The background music is fun, the decor is cool & the bartender Kevin is super chill. It's a great people watching spot, yet intimate enough to have a conversation. There's a magnetic board that you can take a stab at your artwork with letters & caps. Today we had a few IPAs on tap with the spicy chicken tacos (generous portion of chicken), the gyro sliders (really good) & a bowl of peppers. We still felt like 1 more pupu, so we went for the poutine. Okay this was not your typical Canadian french fries with gravy & cheese, OMG, with melt in your mouth brisket on top of fries, melted cheddar cheese, tons of gravy & an egg on top, trust me a better version of the Loco Moco! BREW'd Craft Pub has to have one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Good quality AND good price! A friend and I went for dinner around 7 p.m. one weeknight, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the eatery was relatively empty. It was really loud on the inside and not that many people were in the restaurant when we were there. However, the quality of food and the great service we had made up for the super loud atmosphere. Our server was really helpful in making recommendations and answering all of my questions. He also was great in keeping my water glass constantly refilled during the evening. I would return to BREW'd in a heartbeat because that fish and chips really left an impression on me. Here's what we got: "Fish and Chips": This is one of the best fish and chips I've had on the island because the fish is fresh (features the local catch of the day, which changes frequently), the portion size is decent, the fries are tasty and the price is reasonable ($11-12). This entrée features local island fish (no frozen stuff) that's beer battered to a delectable crisp, tartar sauce and fries. The fish that was featured during the time of my visit was some sort of local marlin. I loved the soft, fresh fish interior, as well as the batter, which was perfectly fried to a golden brown. It had just enough crunch to it, without being too hard and overly crispy. The fish came out steaming hot (temperature wise), so I had to cut each one open and let it cool for a bit before eating it. I was also pleased because I felt I got my money's worth with this entrée - the three pieces of fish were hefty in size, and I felt like the ratio of fish to fries was proportional. I would highly recommend this if you've never been to BREW'd before. I know it'll be my go-to thing! "Mac and Cheese Bowl": This mac and cheese is unique because it features a savory, creamy eight-cheese blend, Italian sausage and prosciutto. My friend ordered this as part of his dinner and he wasn't disappointed. He said the mac and cheese was definitely cheesy and delivered in that department, but he wished there was a bit more sausage in it for some extra texture and flavor. But, he did acknowledge that the prosciutto gave it some extra flair (and it did double duty as a great garnish). "Blue Cheese Bone Marrow Burger": The mac and cheese came in a small bowl, which was definitely not enough for my friend for dinner, so he opted for this burger, which filled him up. It consisted of local island beef, bone barrow butter, blue cheese, island greens, a tomato and fries. I love blue cheese so I'm definitely down to also order this burger one day. He got his burger sans the tomato, but he really enjoyed it. He said that it was flavorful enough and it came with the same fries as my fish and chips, so he was delighted by the taste. "Cheek Poutine": Poutine has to be one of my weaknesses because it's basically fries loaded with cheese and some sort of meat. I was able to find poutine at a lot of spots in So Cal, but it seems like it's finally (slowly but surely) coming to Hawaii. I definitely want to try the version featured at BREW'd one day. This poutine includes braised beef cheeks, fries, cheese curds, beef demi and a fried egg. I'm usually not a huge fan of beef, but when it comes to poutine, I'll make an exception. Anything for those cheese curds! I really liked the poutine at REAL, and since BREW'd is their sister restaurant, I'm really interested to compare the two. "Smoked Miso Duck Ramen": This was one of the items featured under the food specials, and it sounded intriguing to me. Not intriguing enough to order instead of my fish and chips, but something I wouldn't mind trying if I were in the mood to deviate from the norm. This entrée includes smoked miso, duck breast, sweet pickled shiitakes, mung bean sprouts and onions. I would probably order my ramen sans the onions and bean sprouts, but I'm interested to try the medley of all of the other ingredients. I'll just start off by saying I really wanted to like this place. But unfortunately the service just wasn't there. We got there and put our names on a list for a table and they said the wait was 30 minutes long. We ended up finding enough seats at the bar and I was just about to order a drink and some food and the hostess tells us we need to leave because "if we sit at the bar we're giving up our rights to sit at a table". I would've chosen to sit at the bar instead of a table but she didn't even give us the option. So she says it's only a 5 minute wait. Turns out to be a 15 minute wait so at this point, I'm already livid and we're contemplating taking our business elsewhere. They finally call us in and re-check our ids. The manager actually proves to be a pretty nice guy at first. We eat, drink, watch the basketball game. We get our check and pay and get it right back. About 2 minutes later the manager comes by and "politely" asks us to leave. We already got kicked out once!! Now a second time!?!? No I am not coming back. This "brewery" needs to realize they have a TINY PLACE! They aren't going to be able to make accommodations for everyone. If they keep kicking people out, they're never going to get steady customers. "Can I get a Bud Light?" Don't be BREW'd. Thankfully, 2014 is turning out to be the year of the craft beer revolution in Honolulu. REAL a gastropub has been turning out tap attacks and limited release craft brews like no other, and business has always seemed good. Cue BREW'd. BREW'd is the second pub from the owners of Real, offering up pours of the accessible and not-so-accessible (Abyss '13 on draft? SHUT YO MOUTH) craft beers to make it to the islands. If you've been to REAL, the food and standard drink selections are fairly similar - looking at the menu, you'll not notice a huge difference. Of course, their rotation of their 16 taps won't be the same, so be on the look out for those nice gems that roll through. And gems they are. Old Rasputin on Nitro? SMOOTH. The main difference between the two is the vibe. Before I go further, because of Hawaii's obsession with the "new and shiny" (did someone say "ramen burger"), the main vibe you're going to get for the next few weeks is "BUSY". Hour and a half wait for 6 people in bar on a Saturday? On opening weekend? Reasonable, considering some of the wait times at other establishments (ahem, Sweet Home Café) touted almost like a badge of honor. Aside from the long wait time, you'll find yourself in a cozy neighborhood pub, dressed up with a beautiful chalk mural along the back wall and a screen displaying the current libations on tap. Very simple, very nice. Sort of reminds you of REAL, but cleaner and less likely to overload your eardrums with live music a few feet away from you. Reminds me of several pubs & bars on the mainland tucked back in a neighborhood. Parking's kind of a pain and it's difficult to get a seat. Looking for that $3 happy hour special? Definitely not here. But the food's good, complements the concept of beer as a libation pretty nicely. "Sigh " so many negatives and so little positives. I'll just start by getting the positives (since they're so few) out of the way. Positive: 1) beer selection - wide variety to satisfy even the pickiest beer aficionado. 2) poutine - delicious 3) bacon fat fries - mmmmmm.... 4) that's about it Negative: 1) party of 6 crammed on to a tiny table that at most, could seat 4peeps. 2) the table was wobbly as a mofo. We tried to fix it with some coasters but that didn't help. 3) our server (Erik) was inept. Forgot an item we ordered. No problem. Reminded him. He forgot to put it in again! 1 hour for an order of fries! 4) drinks take forever to reach the table 5) they keep their doors open so it got really hot and uncomfortable 6) we ordered a bunch of food and we all agreed that most of it was pretty shmedium. 7) after spending close to $400 amongst 6 people they still politely kicked us out once we stopped drinking. I was excited to try this local joints food and popped in with a friend for a late lunch. We both placed our orders for fish tacos and the Brew'd Burger. All seemed fine and dandy when my friends tacos promptly arrived. The server (who was great btw!) informed me that my burger would be out shortly. Shortly turned into moments, which then turned into 25 minutes of wondering where my food was. The server was apologetic (it's not her fault and I know that having worked in the service industry) and that my burger was being put together how I asked ASAP. My burger arrived and that's when the disappointment began. The patty was a huge oddly shaped dense ball of ground beef that dwarfed the bun. The lettuce was two small slivers of greens, the tomato was oddly cut and made the bun lopsided on top and the burger was drenched in a strange onion jam. I tried to take a bite but the bun was really stiff from being over toasted. I finally got a bite in when the onion jam and tomato slopped off my burger with an awkward *plop* on to the plate. I took another bite and the meat was VERY hot. I realized that my 30 minute burger wasn't even worth ten and wasn't made with love. I am SO glad that we can frequent and support local businesses during this pandemic. I want them to succeed. But if this is the signature burger I hope the owners go eat one themselves and see what's being sold to people for 15 dollars before tax. While I didn't have any beer, and my friend did love his fish tacos, I was very disappointed with my experience here. I will go back of course and try something else and grab a beer. I'm a fan of real a gastropub, so when I heard this place opened up I really wanted to try it. Saturday night, time to go out and find some alcohol and good grinds. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out. We get there and there are a bunch of people waiting outside. It's a bar right?? Can't we just go in and have a seat? Nope, you need to wait to be seated...hmm the wait can't be that long...can it? The wait was 45 minutes to an hour?! Even to just sit at the bar? Yup! There is no open bar seating either, you need to be on the waitlist to even get seats at the bar! And the hostess wasn't very friendly when telling us this information, as if it's a normal thing to not be able to seat yourself at the bar... So, we decided to bounce. I had been waiting for this place to open..and I finally made it over there last night. It was worth the wait. Great place, great beer, great people, and even great food. I enjoyed the Deschutes Nitro XPA, Coronado Frog's Breath IPA, and Iron Fist ImpALEr... and some delish lemon srirracha hummus. Adam and Rich made me feel like a valued regular on my first visit. I've been reading the reviews, which are pretty rough, but most have to do with seating and space. Here's the thing. .. The place has a limit on number of people allowed in at a time (I think 65), so they are trying to manage that. I can't imagine being a new hip spot in a growing area and trying to work with that. It's new... They will have bumps at first. .. then mellow out. Give it time. It's a great addition to my beloved Kaimuki. Great job and I will definitely be a regular. read more

Pretty decent beer selection. Same beer selection at Tamura's across the street. Farmhouse cocktail... Poorly executed. We shouldn't have had to pay for that shitty and imbalanced cocktail that I took three sips of. Not the best service from the bar staff. There are so many other options, go someplace else. Here is your one star for your sign that says NO Yelping and for the drink that you didn't know how to make but happy to have left on our bill. Ever feel like you are stuck in a rut that is the Hawaii bar scene? That's my every weekend. I was definitely in the MOOD for some place new. So I CLUED some DUDES into Brew'd instead of the typical spots, I was stoked when I successfully WOOED them. Never mind that I tend to EXCLUDE myself when it comes to drinking beer. (Wait, huh? I know) We came in at 9:30pm on a Saturday. The parking is in the back (well that's where I parked) and the place is not super big. The bar seating runs the length of the place and there's a bunch of tables. It's a chill place where you can totally wear your t-shirt and slippers and the natives will still accept you. I would actually recommend shorts over jeans (or maybe come in the NUDE) as it was a bit warm in there. We definitely EXUDED some sweat. BREW'D is much more SUBDUED than Real (no live music). We found a table (there's really not a lot of seating) and opened the beer menu. Reminded me of the sister bar, Real with an overwhelming selection of beer. Now, I have to confess I've only started drinking beer in the past six months and I've ACCRUED about 5 beers since then. So as an amateur I went for the cider beer. Sweet and delicious. Non-beer drinkers, you are not SCREWED. The menu also INCLUDES hards and soft drinks of course for the total PRUDES. They close around 2am and in typical style we shut the place down. How does one carb load for a half marathon? Its the newest Gastropub in Kaimuki! Wow. I had seen this place on my commute home on a few occasions, ever since it took shape from an empty commercial space. This space was a few Chinese restaurants and a crab shack in its previous lives, but presently, its Brew'd! I've read in the reviews that the owners of this satellite Kaimuki location is from Real, a Gastropub, so it has to be good. I had been to Real with friends and the experience was a mixed bag, but had a good time with friends. At least if I did get drunk here, I can just walk home without bothering anyone or anything. For me, it was an excuse to go drinking and the carbs needed for a half marathon was kind of important. After doing so many of them, whatever you want takes over what was the norm before. Your body will sort it all out the next morning. The experience here was decidedly mixed, as usual. Usually, the bar scene ain't my thing, but being that its Kaimuki, I would let it go. Brew'd is conveniently located on the corner of Waialae Avenue and 9th Avenue in the heart of Kaimuki. Plenty of parking options are available, but mainly are limited to street parking in front of the restaurant and parking in nearby residential areas, where available. There are paid lots a few blocks away, but you would need to walk down to the restaurant. If you are like me, bus routes #1, #1L, and 9 rock this stretch of Waialae avenue, so there is really no reason why you should not come to get your drink on. Brew'd takes credit cards, which is always awesome. You figure with the high volume of foot traffic that liquor usually brings, it makes a lot of sense to have that option available for patrons. However, after looking over the drink selections and the pricing points involved, I would have to say that they are overpriced. Granted that they are a new business, but its one of those things that will make people hesitant about coming back. Still, its a nice place to try out, if you are in the neighborhood and in need of a drink or two. My first thoughts of Brew'd was that it was another coffee house, given the name. I didn't know it was really a creative name for a Gastropub. We all don't need another Starbucks, since the closest one is in Kahala Mall anyways. The ambiance was decidedly loud, but my friends and I found a comfortable spot in the back of the place and we had a ball. For the most part, we had a range of IPA's and some imports, as well as domestics. Guess you could say I got a little drunk, but that's alright. What's a little drunkenness before a half marathon? Oy. For dinner, we had a small assortment of pupus, which was good. I actually had the meatball sliders, the popcorn shrimp, and of course, the bacon fat fries. Those were must haves! The vibe of this place seemed not of Kaimuki's quiet setting, but I guess it does compliment it a little bit. A good addition to the community and a nice complement to Tamura's as well. Although this scene is a little different for me, its one that I could do, if it wasn't pricey - compared to other comparable establishments. Yes, a new place to patronize, but I weighed the financial aspects of it too. The mood lighting was a nice touch as well. There are good things going for it, and while I can't say I'll be back, I would recommend this place to try out. Maybe you will like it more than I do. My cousin's boss had recommended Brew'd to her, so we decided to check it out. The pub is kind of small, but we were able to get a table pretty quickly. Our waitress was really friendly, and she said we could taste any of the drafts if we wanted, which I thought was pretty cool. Brew'd's menu is a really well put together list of food that really is perfect to go with beer. I ended up ordering the fish tacos. I was afraid my meal wasn't going to have enough food, but I ended up extremely full. The rest of our party was also stuffed by the end. We all felt a little oily, but the food was really good and tasty. My tacos were fried well, and the sriracha added a nice kick to the dish. Overall, Brew'd has tasty (albeit fatty) dishes, and I would definitely recommend this location if you're a big fan of beer and good food. read more

BREW'd has a sign in their establishment that reads "NO YELPING!" but I'm being a rebel and doing it anyway. This craft brewpub has an impressive tap list of local and no so local beers, and an even longer bottle list. We were lucky enough to enjoy Sam Adams Utopia 2015 beer as well (it was not cheap). Come here for rare finds, or just to hang out. It is pretty small, but they have an outdoor waiting area where you can enjoy a drink while you wait as well. We didn't have any of the food on my visit, so no comments there. We aren't locals, but if we were, this is where we would hang out. read more

Went here last night and instantly liked it much more than REAL. The interior is casual classy with a nice bar countertop and trendy light fixtures. Beer selection is excellent, but if you've been to REAL, you're familiar with their menu style/amount of selection. A lot of Mickellers there right now. Many are applauding their 3 sample beer policy, but I still don't like it very much..what if you want to try more than 3 beers? I understand that they don't want people to abuse sampling opportunities, but, seriously, I wanted to try more than three and I was certainly footing a substantial bill. FOOD: Don't get the oyster shooter if you're a true oyster lover, the weird bloody mary mix ruins the oyster and the extra long shooter makes you suffer through the weirdness before you get to the good stuff, the oyster. Poutine was eh, very salty, not enough gravy. Mushroom ravioli on point, so delicious. Had to dip poutine fries in this lovely goodness. STAFF: Not a fan of their Dickies uniform. I'm definitely not a beer fan but the hubs loves craft beers, and IPAs in particular, so with his well-being in mind we headed over to Kaimuki. It was a Wednesday night so we lucked out and had many more food choices than usual because of their 'Wednesday Night Blue Plate Special'. The Mac and Cheese was yummy and had a nice sharp white cheese taste. It's not a huge portion so you could definitely order another item to go with it. I had the Thai Satay and it was really delicious with sesame seeds sprinkled on it. Hubs had his Terminal Gravity IPA and I drank OJ which our server incredulously asked me "Without Vodka?!". It's rare that I would give someone 1 star, but this one is well deserved. We called ahead to make a reservation but they didn't have it when we got there, so 8 of us squeezed around a table for four. This was just the beginning. The service was poor. It took about 10 minutes just for someone to come over to us. After we got our drinks, we ordered appetizers and dinner. One of our appetizers never came. When our dinner came (daily special of meat loaf), it was cold. Like... ICE cold. Obviously frozen food getting microwaved. The center of both our meat and potatoes were frozen. When we asked to get it heated up more... you know... to make it edible, the waiter seemed annoyed. The combination of bad food and poor service will definitely keep me away. As one of my friend's said... it is sad when a restaurant doesn't take pride in their food. read more

Finally ate and drank (honey not me) at Brew'd. We live in the valley and we've both been wanting to come here, because it's so convenient! Went on a Wednesday night and it was crowded! We didn't have to wait since it was just the two of us. We got the Mac n cheese, kale Cesar's salad with bacon, adobo poutine, and their house fries. Honey had Not a stoic and we sampled a beer that Adam brought around. Everything we had was excellent. Our server Jared was great and even the hostess when we walked in was super friendly! Adam came around and made sure we/everyone was ok. He also heard we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary so he gave us a free dessert. Can't wait to come back! Food is priced nicely. I tried duck sliders for the first time in my life, it was good, I was expecting something kind of wonky to get a laugh out of. I had a sweet tasting beer with it. Bartenders are knowledgeable of the various alcohol if you tell them your taste preferences. I asked the bartender Crystal for a sweet beer that was strong and without too much carbonation. She was all like "how about a ___" then I order a second drink and she be like "this is a __" at the end of the night after about 4 beers and 2 cocktails she was like "how did you like the ___?" and I was like "which one was that?" Then my friends took me home and passed out from my stupor. Good place to drink with friends especially if you want to try out new beers and none of you are snobby enough to know what anything is. I should try out the wine beers sometime. The prices are nice. Clean place. Place is rarely empty. I avoided Brew'd for a while because I'm really not much of a beer-drinker. I didn't think they'd have anything for me. I was wrong! Of course, dating the person I am dating, I couldn't really stay away from this place forever, I ended up going and found their food is SO GOOD. This sounds so trendy and cliche but their bacon fat fries and galbi poutine are to die for. Seriously. I think If I go there too much I will order these very time and probably die of congestive heart failure. But DAMN they're good! I have tried a couple of the beer cocktails and the cocktail on draft, which are great options for non-beer lovers: they have a full bar and some really tasty and creative drinks! I do enjoy the neighborhood-cheers-ish feeling of the place. I really don't think I have the words to express how much I love this place. Here are my top 3 reasons why: 1. The service/staff. The people who work at Brewd are kind, professional and just all around great people. They know their stuff so if you are new to the craft beer world, don't be afraid to ask for suggestions. 2. The FOOD. They have a menu that changes every now and then with new specials being added all the time. My favorite are the bacon fat fries, the brussel sprouts, the apple salad, the shrimp and the shishito peppers. Oh, and the pork belly :) 3. The BEER. There are so many options of beer it usually takes me a while to pick! They have a good draft list but an even better bottles list. You'll certainly find something you like. Nice selection of craft beers on tap and bottles. BUT, service was so poor - after our first beer, our waitress Kate took away the menu. We asked for them again and she promptly took them away after the next order. Did she not want us to keep ordering anything?? When she finally left the menus with us, she told us that we couldn't leave them on the table. Tables by the way were tiny, wobbly and very cramped. Food was just ok - ordered fresh oysters which were were served room temp and smelled fishy. After attempting to eat one, decided it wasn't worth the risk getting sick so I sent them back. Kate said that they would remove the changes from the bill, but essentially called me "picky" because the chef assured her that the oysters were fresh. Mushroom ravioli was tasty though. Parking is non existent - must find street parking or park in the lots three blocks away. All in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience and would not go back. The beer at this place is very good. If you are a beer connoisseur, they have a good selection of local and imported beers that should satisfy you. However, I would not recommend the food. We ordered four small plates and they ranged from average all the way down to nearly inedible. This is a shame because the concepts for the food are interesting, but the cooking seems to be poorly executed. Almost everything was very salty. The "grilled" vegetables on the salad were deep fried and seemed like they had been sitting out for some time. I wouldn't go back unless it were just for a drink. read more

Went for happy hour on Friday! Great prices especially $4 shots with some interesting names! Lol! $4 is all day Friday! No rush to get in all in before 6pm!!! Food was great too! Deviled eggs was a winner! Mushrooms tasted perfect with spicy sauce. Cauliflower was also hot but tasty. Special was the smoked pork chops and mac n cheese. I absolutely adore gastro pubs & was extremely happy to have one open up in the kaimuki area. Same owners as Real by Ward & same type of atmosphere. I actually don't mind how small it is; it reminded me of being in a pub in London, yelling to hear people. The vibe is fun! Food is delicious, always recommend the spicy pickles, the meat&cheese plate, and everything bacon :) great beer selection as well! I've had my waiter pick a beer for me every time I go & they have all been fantastic. The service was slow the first time I went but they had only just opened; every other time ice had excellent service & quite pleasant conversations with the staff. Living and growing up in Kaimuki, there really hasn't been much variety when it came to bars. So you can imagine how many heavy tears were shed when I found out that SALT closed up shop. Up until that point, it had been my basically de facto "chill with a drink after a long day of work" spot. Thankfully, Kaimuki isn't so devoid of options anymore and the decently sized overhaul in image the neighborhood has undertaken the past handful of years has led to a bunch of new, interesting bar/restaurants. However, what it was missing was a legit gastropub. That is, however, until BREW'd Craft Pub came along. Now, I'm honestly not that big a beer drinker unless the occasion calls for it (ex. football games, BBQs, etc.). However, that does not mean I can't appreciate a nice craft beer. And if you're looking for a wide selection of high quality beers, Brew'd is your kinda place. Sure things can get a bit pricey, but my personal opinion on the matter is you get what you pay for. And if you're a legit connoisseur of beers, then I think you'd be content with paying a pretty penny for quality beyond the norm. As previously mentioned, beers are not really my thing. And although the name might make it seem otherwise, that's also really ok since the full bar and knowledgeable bartenders can make whatever your drink of choice happens to be. The servers are very attentive to each table, and I can't recall any point during my multiple visits here where my table ever ran out of water. And it's not only drinks at Brew'd. As in any successful gastropub, you can find great tasting food options as well. I've had friends drool over the poutine! Even the lighter options, like their play on hummus and brussel sprouts and bacon, are quite delicious. Taking everything into consideration--the drinks, the food, the ambiance--Brew'd reminded me of another place I've been to quite a lot: REAL a gastropub. And surprise surprise I later come to find that there's a very good reason for that since they're actually sister establishments. Although speaking frankly I prefer REAL over Brew'd, the convenience and proximity make Brew'd a spot I know will become a pretty default hangout. read more

Kaimuki is already the very hipster heart of Honolulu. It's like stepping into the 40s and 50s...and a funky addition is a little place called Brewd. It's a very chill place for Pau Hana. Great bartenders will help you make sense of the gigantic brew menu (I kid you not, it's like a family photo album). Super clean. We will definitely be coming back. Oh, and the awesome tunes really help (80s rock on a Friday--so necessary for my life right now). read more

Fairly new spot, and deserves a great review! Parking is in the back lot for starters. This is just what Kaimuki needed. The bar and setting suits the towns personality perfectly. Bartenders were very nice. Menu is probably amongst the best of the other GastroPubs. Seasonal are available. Good mix of light to dark beers. Feel free to ask for samples if on tap. We tried the bacon fries. It actually tasted like bacon. Crazy! Will be going back and updating this review soon. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for months but finally went after wanting to really, REALLY have a beer after a long day. Of course I knew the brews list was going to be impressively long but I was actually surprised by the martini specials going on that Saturday night! My friend and I ended up getting a few beers and a couple of small and large plates to share. I opted for the Mac and cheese with bacon which was just what I wanted - white cheesy goodness and chunks of bacon! We also got the Brussels sprouts and a chicken wing special that came with an order of fries. Service was also great so all in all, a nice night! read more

As a beer lover this one can be my girlfriend. Rachele our extremely knowledgable and helpful waitress was willing to share about the craft brews and a little about each and every beer. Heck even the hostess did so too. No more green bottle craze anymore. There are just too many flavors in life that you just gotta try. Brewd is another stepping stone. TLDR ver; Coming from San Diego, CA , we found this place to be Oahu's best selection of craft brew on tap. Food is very tasty. Service is good. Parking can fill up quick, but street parking is available. Lots of people cruise on here. Can get packed and busy so one has stand or wait until a seat opens up . . . Regular: The Hittman, my partner in microbrewery crime (well it is to the big boys that carry tasteless b33r) had searched all over in HI for decent brews. This place fit the bill. Brew'd stood out in terms of selection and flavor and also catering to different styles. If you like bitter back biting IPA's cool, if standard IPA's aren't your thing and want a double, cool. If you're a stout man and a pirate, you're set here. If the viking in you screams for ale, rawwr, pillage away. Or maybe the silent monastic tradition steep in over 1000 years of brewery experience wets your pallet in your favorite Saint's feast day, word. If you want coconut to get your mini Maui tippity tapping, you're welcome. Brewed has ginourmous selection, a titani-epic collection of beers on tap. Go there, get some food (key to delay onset of drunken paranoia), get some water glasses (clear palette between tastings) and start asking for taster splashers to find your favorite one. I'm a stout fan, so the Belching Beaver stuff was great. They had few good other ones like sour mashes. A fruit IPA was tasty and similar to Ballast Point's grapefruit IPA (standard for fruit infused IPA's) We also ordered food. Hawaii has tons of great burger stops, and the burger here was just awesome and flavorful. Loaded with the house sauce and sweet bread based buns. Yummy. The mac n cheese was a favorite, a twist on the usual favorite. Have to try it to describe it. Pork belly tacos were tasty as well. This warranted several visits. The bartenders were all attentive and also did what few others did (at other similar places), they kept watching our water glasses and topping them off. They asked if we needed anything but it wasn't bad like checking every minute or disappearing for 30 minutes to an hour. It was just right. Overall, a great place, best beer selection (and one of the top choices for beer tasting). When I'm back here, will hit this place up again. I'm giving it 5 stars due to the taste, selection, and good food, and cool people serving it up. read more

This was a really good place. The tap list was impressive. I don't know why it's more impressive that it's got such a good tap list while it's in Hawaii, but it is. Prices were really reasonable all things considered. The place also has that intangible feel that it's just so hard to pinpoint. The lighting was the right sort of dim. It was narrow and a bit cramped, but in the cozy way that makes it feel intimate rather than in an obnoxious, college bar way. But back to that beer list. It's not every day you find a bar with Sam Adams Utopias on the menu. And while it was heavy on west coast beers, there were also gems from Colorado, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Maryland while we were there, along with a host of German and Belgian beers. The type of place where you know that the selection is constantly in flux, in the good way. Parking in the area seemed relatively painless, but I'm not certain because we weren't driving ourselves so I wasn't paying much attention. Still fuming 30 minutes later. I made the mistake of ordering a 4-flight sampler. 4x 5 oz beers cost $28... The policy is that customers can try any beer (up to 6) for free, before ordering something. I was neither aware that free tastes are different than a sampler, nor did the waitstaff bring to my attention that the sampler would be so costly. In addition to the ridiculous sampler price, the food portions are way under for amounts charged. Example: 2 oz beet hummus comes with 1 piece of carrot, 1 slice of cucumber, and 1/4 piece of pita for $7. This type of predatory pricing makes me very concerned for the overall health of the new gastro pub scene coming online in Hawaii. read more

This business is unbelievable! The bacon cheese fries were so good. It was such a unique menu. The food is diverse meaning there is something for everybody and food combinations you never thought of. The night time atmosphere is great. We arrived around 4pm and I was shocked when they gave me an actual book to order from! I could not get over the beer selection they offered. A little off the beaten path but well worth the trip. You will love it! read more

This place has an AWESOME SELECTION OF DRAFT AND BOTTLED BEERS!! And our server shane was attentive and super chill. They also have great food: we loved the brisket poutine and buffalo deviled eggs. We got in late and werent too hungry before last call, but ill definitely go back to try some of the other menu items...and beers!! read more

Extremely friendly staff. We sat at the bar and admired the sign that says no yelping! Lol! Lucky for them this is a very positive review! Pupus are reasonably priced and we received a thorough explanation of the beer offerings. Ordered bacon fat fries, mac n cheese, and the mushroom onion tart. All spectacular and paired very well with our beer. Ordered #9...today that was Sierra Nevada Harvest. Will definitely be back for more!
